One use that i have not seen in the reviews, is on eyebrows before plucking. I slather it on and let it sit for maybe 10 minutes, then wipe off the excess and pluck away. takes much of the sting out of it!

I also use on my lips and every few days i take the tub in the shower with me and after i wash i slather it on my skin, the water rinses the excess off and the heat really makes it soak in.

This is a product that is good for so many different things. Although I love putting it on my lips before bed after exfoliating, I always put it on my eyelashes. What I do is put some on my eyelid and work it really well into my lash line, and then I'll coat each lash with the vaseline. This really helps your lashes to become moisturized from all that mascara and crap that's on it all day, and it also makes them thicker and stronger. I used to have short, fine blonde lashes but now they are longer and thicker at the roots! Amazing. I usually buy the 2 big tubs from costco. This stuff will last me a decade or more! NO joke.

Most of these great reviews have to be Planted here. in Truth Vaseline is a petroleum by product that costs more to dispose than to re use, hence all this work done to sway public Opinion, IT doesn't penetrate, it suffocates skin and is not a good skin care product what so ever , DON"T BELIEVE THE HYPE!

i remember when i was a kid my mom would always tell me to put this on my lips when they were dry and cracking. i have tried other lip balms but i find that this works so well and you get so much product for a very low price. vaseline also can serve other purposes like moisturizing other dry parts of the body or putting it on your lashes. vaseline is definitely something that everyone should have!!

This is one of those products that everyone should have in their medicine cabinet because it is so versatile and useful. It's great for moisturizing super dry areas like elbows, knees, heels, knuckles, lips, etc. I have also used it to condition my eyelashes at bedtime and to tame my eyebrows. Recently I started using it at night time to enhance my regular eye cream. After I wash my face, I apply my eye cream and then I add a very, very thin layer of Vaseline over it. It's very emollient and rich so you don't need much at all. Just enough to make the skin a little bit shiny is good for me. I only have a couple very fine lines under my eyes (I am 26) but after sleeping with some Vaseline on, the skin does look a little plumper and smoother the next morning. The lines are less noticeable and the skin feels so soft. It really helps seal moisture in the skin. Makes under eye concealer blend in so smoothly. Better results than any eye cream I have used consistently all by itself. I don't apply any to my upper lids because they're usually on the oilier side anyway. Great product. Also very inexpensive and available almost anywhere. Glad I found another use for it.

Vaseline is the ultimate product. It can be used to remove makeup, it is so affordable, comes in different scents and the most recent release of their lip therapy is AMAZING. granted, after a while, with a long wear time of the lip therapy on my lips, it makes my lips smell a little off because the dead skin layers on my lips become really soft- but i just remove the layers with a scrub afterwards and my lips are so smooth. My lips crack and dry like CRAZY-- in any weather. the lip therapy is hands down better than anything ive used-- EOS, Soft Lips, Burts Bee's etc. my only problem with Vaseline in general is the sanitary problem. Because I am constantly digging my hands in the tub, some dirt or bacteria is evidently going to stay inside. But I love vaseline. It works for everything. No store-brand dupe is even comparable to Vaseline.

Vaseline is the ultimate beauty/skincare product!!!
It's so cheap and has dozens of uses! I personally like to apply a coat to my lashes after I remove mascara so that my lashes don't dry out and become brittle. I think it works quite well. :) I also apply a thick coat to my lips before bed so they don't dry out at night. Works great!
Everybody needs at least one jar of vaseline!

I agree with other reviews that rate this product high. I personally think that Petroleum Jelly is great and I use it frequently under my eyes at night. I tried Aquaphor, which mostly is petroleum jelly, mineral oil and glycerin, but found it a little drying over time (I think it was due to glycerin). The best my skin looked after using petroleum jelly was when I applied it a lot and mixed with water and then spent 45 minutes in a very humid place and after that I wiped it off (not too much leaving a very thin film on). That was when my skin looked the best. Also, I see that some of the reviewers are giving only one lippie for Vaseline and recommend Un-Petroleum Jelly from Alba to use instead. However, be careful with all that natural stuff, I used Un-Petroleum Jelly from Alba and it dried my under eye area so much that from having no fine lines I sudden developed so many dry fine lines and had use Vaseline to fix that. Castro oil can be very drying and Vitamin E can be irritating, puffing the eye area and making it look smoother and line less but it's only temporary fix. Besides, the peer reviewed articles scientifically explain how petroleum jelly works and how beneficial is for skin if properly used, and they also mention how some oils are irritating to the skin. Anyway, I do not use Vaseline everyday, I let my skin do its own work. And don't listen to people who'll tell you that your skin can't breathe if you put this on. You skin doesn't breathe, it takes the oxygen from the blood not outside, that is why you can dive in water without having oxygen tanks (only your lungs breathe and need oxygen to be underwater not your skin).

Everyone needs to own a jar of this stuff. It's cheap, protects and moisturizes the lips, and heals the chapped elbows and other dry places on the skin. It's just a necessity (especially if you live up in New England like me!). The only problem is that it's very easy for bacteria to cultivate in that big jar. I would much prefer some Vaseline with the same consistency in a tube. It's still a wonderful product and I use it every night on my lips before bed.
