i've been using this primer for years, and i dont even bother looking for another... this is hands down the best primer you will ever use, as I am sure many other women would agree! its so creamy and light- you wont even know its there, unlike some of the others that I have tried. It blends well and is so effortless... Its a MUST HAVE and should be a part of every womans make up regimen. Even if you dont use eye shadow, use this under your liner and you will not only have a smoothe surface to draw a clean line, it will stay put ALL DAY (and yes, even through the night to, for those long after the bar nights...) my eyeshadow is the only thing i never have to touch up- even though I use a very expensive primer for my face too. This primer will really enhance the quality and color of your eyeshadow too, which is nice for those cheap shadows we have had forever and want to use but never work the way you want them to- you will never have issues with this as long as your using shadow potion. The packaging of the product is a love/hate for me. I love the cute little purple/gold and silver tube the product comes in and the tilted applicator, however because it has an applicator vs. just a squeeze tube there is so much product wasted... I have had to get pretty creative to get the product from the bottom. Either way, I make it work. I am not a die hard fan of urban decay myself, but i will forever be a loyal consumer to this product- no matter how expensive, i love it THAT much.

My one problem with this product is the packaging, which has recently been changed and so hopefully will no longer be a problem. I dropped the bottle and it completely broke in half, and then dried out, a total waste! Fortunately, this now comes in a rubber, not a hard plastic bottle.
I was skeptical when my friend recommended this because i did not want to add the extra step of eyeshadow primer to my makeup routine, but i am so glad i tried it. My eyelids tend to get greasy, and I used to have smeared eye makeup by early afternoon, and i would end up having to attempt to wipe off my shadow mid-day, but now my eye makeup usually lasts all days.

Quite simply the best. It's the one all others are measured against. Goes on smooth, shadow stays put, mission accomplished.

This is the best eyeshadow primer in the industry. Urban decay is really known for this and their pigmented eyeshadows. You get so much for the amount of money you pay for it because it is so silky and you only need a little bit and it lasts all day. It also enhances your eyeshadow even if the eyeshadow is not a great brand that doesn't have great pigment. Their number one motto for this product is that it does NOT make your eyeshadow crease which is true to it's name and it certainly does that and more. The picture above is not the same and has been repackaged in a tube that you squeeze out the product which is much more easier to use with your finger than wit the older packaging having to deal with the wand and you weren't able to get the full amount out once the bottle was almost dome and now all those problems with packaging are not a problem. They also have other primer potion colors like greed ect. Which can be used as eyeshadow alone and one or two of them have a bit of a shimmer which are very pretty colors and can excemtuate the eyes which always brightens your eye area.
I received this as a sample in a naked palette and I just loved it!! It's great and goes on smooth!! Have purchased the primer since and it was the best!!!
This is the absolute BEST eyeshadow primer ever! I have extremely oily skin/eyelids and NOTHING ever works for me. Every eyeshadow primer I have used except Urban Decays leaves me withy creases in my shadow within an hour of application. I haven't found any other product that compares to this. My eyeshadow will still look perfect the next morning if I didn't wash my make up off the night before. I have this in Greed, which is a shimmery gold. I do like it but think I'll be trying one of the other shades when I purchase again as Greed can show thru if you're wearing a lighter shade eyeshadow. I will always use this product. Simply amazing! You will not be disappointed!

What can I say that hasn't already been said by 5,000+ reviewers about this amazing product? It truly is the best eyeshadow primer on the market. I love that they finally got rid of that wand-thing and switched it to a squeeze tube. I've only ever used the Original formula, but I've heard that Eden is great too, depending on your skin tone. It glides on like a dream, doesn't settle into the creases of your eyelids and really makes your eye-makeup last forever! I've tried other things, but I always go back to this. Eyeshadow primer is not an unnecessary gimmick, and anyone who says so is an idiot. (Sorry, its true.) $20 might seem like a lot of money to some people for a small tube, but you really only need a tiny bit, so it should last you a really long time, and for the quality, its worth every penny in my opinion. Its one of my favorite products of all time and you won't ever find my makeup bag without it! Love!!

Packaging: The Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) is in a very cute (although a little inefficient) metallic purple container. You apply it with a doe-foot like applicator.
Pigmentation: This is an eyeshadow PRIMER and not an eyeshadow base. With that said, I would expect that the UDPP would go on clear on the skin, which it does! One thing that some people claim is that UDPP enhances the color of eyeshadows or intensifies the color. I have not found this to be true necessarily, but I usually use extremely highly pigmented eyeshadows anyway.
Longevity: As a primer, the UDPP significantly increases the wear of my eyeshadows. It works well under cream and powder eyeshadows. I have very oily eyelids and within 4 hours, there is definite creasing and separation of the eyeshadows on my lids. When using UDPP, I am crease-free for about 9-12 hours.
Price: The retail price for UDPP (for the new packaging at least) is $20 for 0.37 oz of product. Personally, I think that the price is pretty mid-range for an eyeshadow primer that is higher end.
Overall: This is one of the best primers I've used, both drugstore or high end. It significantly increases the longevity of my eyeshadows and I would recommend this product to anyone that has oily lids or is prone to creasing.
TIP: You can sometimes find the old packaging UDPP for a lower price. I was lucky enough to pay only $7 per product at Nordstrom Rack.

This is my favorite eye primer though it is one of the only ones I've tried (elf primer for $1 was my first). I love this and my shadows stay all day without smudging nor creasing and that's saying alot because I have VERY oily skin and eyelids. Oh and this lasts SO LONG. Only thing is it's pricey but I found that on the UD website that they have a deal for all 3 primers (including sin and the other one) for I think $20. So, you're saving $40. Don't know if they still have this though.
I first tried this primer when I bought the first Naked palette back when it first came out at Sephora, I had never used primer before that... Honestly I was pretty much a nooby when it came to most make up, but I fell in love with this primer... It was just the little sample with the cute wand, but it lasted me for almost a year [Depotted also]. I was pretty sad that they didn't sell it with the wand since the squeeze tube is ok. I just finished my first full sized primer and I had a mini problem with it towards the end... The primer started leaking outside the plastic... Kinda weird but it still worked. Where I work it gets humid and I am there most of the day, and when my shift is over my eye makeup is still beautiful. Anyways I love this primer I can't live without it, and I have tried others this is just the one that works the best for me so I'm always gonna use this as long as its being sold.
