I absolutely love this eye makeup remover. I bought it almost a year ago but never used it since I always thought drugstore makeup removers would sting my eye and leave them feeling greasy. I recently gave it to my roommate to try and she tole me it was amazing so I listened to her and tried it for the first time two weeks ago. It's super gentle on my eyes and yet it removes all of my eye makeup, even the most waterproof mascara!


At night, I shake up the bottle and soak a cotton pad with it. Then I place it on my lids for about 5-10 seconds. After it has dissolved my makeup, I then gently rub the makeup off. It's super effortless and does not tuck on your eyes AT ALL!! Another great thing about this remover is that it does not leave my eyes feeling greasy like others do. The only imperfection is the packaging. It leaks a little and makes the label loose but other wise, nothing to complain.


All in all a great product especially for the price. It is very comparable to the high end removers (Lancome, Clinique, YSL...). I would definitely recommend trying this out!

Excellent product that removes even the most horrible waterproof mascara! Works better than my MAC cleansing oil. I use a little bit of product on a cotton pad and gently wipe over my closed eyes several times. Definitely recommend as a cheaper and faster alternative to MAC's product (which is very good indeed).

As a makeup remover, It doesn't do a good job.
But the price is so cheap.
However, the bottle leaks.

This does not do a good job of removing waterproof mascara. I have to rub and keep rubbing till all of my mascara is off - so not good for the eyelids. Aside from that, after you shake the oil and water together, less than 10 seconds later, they separate.

I have to say that I second exactly what a reviewer wrote below (dodobat) right down to the "not expecting much, but was very pleasantly surprised!". It's exactly what happened while i was on vacation. I use a very stubborn waterproof mascara. I always use a creamy or gel like remover, so that I can put it on my fingers and work the stuff into the mascara. I totally thought that a wet cotton pad with remover would be all fibers stuck in the mascara, etc. So not the case! And not only is it doable, it gets the job DONE with less rubbing than the creamy and/or gel ones! I have the creamy Neutrogena remover and I have used Albolene. I can't believe this surpasses them! Cheap enough to give it a whirl. Oh! and btw my particular bottle is called " L'Oreal eye makeup remover -removes waterproof mascara" in the green (not the blue) bottle. The blue bottle is not for waterproof. They may have changed the name to this or from this to the name on this category. But it is def the same. AND the picture for this category looks nothing like the products. It is liquid in a green bottle next to the blue bottle that you are looking for.

Very clean and effective remover, doesn't leave residuals and very affordable. and its smell doesn't bug me i barely notice it

but to be honest i am too lazy to use a separate eye make up remover, i want one for the whole face :)

It can easily move away the eye shadows, but a little bit harder with waterproof mascara. Since I have a seperate mascara remover, this product is ok for me

Excellent eye makeup remover! Previous I have always been using HE brands for eye makeup remover such as Lancome Bi facil, Chantecaille rose eye makeup remover and Anna sui waterproof eye makeup remover. While the Lancome Bi facil was good, it was also very expensive and I use it up very quickly. Chantecaille's rose eye makeup remover promises to be gentle and non stinging but in actual fact it made my eyes blood shot and it stung so badly! It was a complete waste of money and was so expensive too. Anna sui's waterproof eye makeup remover was good but was also quite expensive. I was in search for a good and affordable eye makeup remover. Because I have very sensitive eyes (and i wear contacts), i needed something that is gentle and most importantly effective in removing waterproof mascara (especially Majolica majorca mascaras). I came across this while perusing the isles of my local drugstore and picked it up as it was on sale (about RM21 which is about 4pounds?). I wasn't expecting much from it to be honest but I was pleasantly surprised when it managed to remove my stubborn Majolica majorca mascara! I have never come across any eye makeup remover that can remove my Majolica mascara so properly and quickly too! I poured a sufficient amount (you don't need alot) on a cotton pad and pressed it on my eye for about 30 seconds and everything comes off! No rubbing or tugging on my lids. Although it is a bi phase formula, it does not leave your lids feeling oily or greasy. I can safely say that I will keep repurchasing this ( i already have 2 backups in my drawers) until they stop making it and will never go back to using expensive removers. HG product! =)

I have super sensitive eyes but this product is very good. It removes all my eye makeup (primer + paint pot + eyeshadow + waterproof mascara + eye liner) sometimes it takes more than one cotton pad but I don't have to rub . I will buy this product again because is cheap and good quality.

My HG eye makeup remover. It doesn't leave an oily feel after using which is a big deal for me. Gets the waterproof eyeliner and mascara off easily. The bottle is great for transport but my only complaint would be that it came in a bigger bottle. Decent price and even better when it goes on sale. :)
