On me, this mascara is horrible. I have stubby, stick-straight, medium length, Asian lashes, and the only thing it did was clump them up and drag them down. Although it did thicken a bit, it did not hold a curl. However, I'm pretty sure it'd look great on someone with naturally curled lashes. (My lucky, long-lashed friends often speak of its 'amazing' properties..)
This is by far the best mascara I have EVER used. I have tried many over the years trying to find the next best thing, but I always come back to this. It creates volume, lengthens my lashes, and lasts all day. What more could a girl ask for!? It wins the award for best mascara in my book!
I had heard so many good things about this mascara and was excited to try it, but it was actually really disappointing. It was only about $6, so I didn't waste much money on it, but I would definitely not buy it again.
For me it went on very clumpy and wet. I tried different techniques of putting it on, but it didn't seem to make a difference. It also flaked off a lot during the day. I found I could kind of make it work by layering a Covergirl mascara over it, but it doesn't really make sense to since I could just wear that mascara on its own and have a better result.
I'll probably just throw this in the garbage.
I'm trying out more mascara to find the one I'm gonna love alll the time as I used to wear mainly false eyelashes (trying to cut back on my false lash addiction!) .This is one of the best mascaras you can find at the drugstore. I personally love the package, it's sleek and classy plus I love how it feels. The brush is nice, my favorite kind of brush. The formula is wet and can be messy but just be more careful. Also be careful how much you put on because it will stick your lashes together if to much is used. With one coat you can see a noticeable difference, two coats looks huge and beautiful! Doesn't make your eyelashes stiff, they feel soft and flexible and I'm definitely not worried about it making my eyelashes snap off. So pretty much for how cheap it is you can't really go wrong, worth having for sure.
This mascara is awesome. Black, mouse like, thick, and gorgeous. For like 3 days. Until your formula does weird things and it turns clumpy and gross. This has happened twice. I can still use it, but it has to be in a timely fashion so I can successfully comb out clumps. Sighs. otherwise it would have 5 lippies.
Where has this been all my life? I am definitely a mascara junkie - I have super short, straight lash and ask a lot of the mascaras I purchase. I have been through so many, and never really found one that I loved, and committed to repurchasing ... until NOW. This stuff is a-mazing. Really. It lengthens, darkens, and holds the curl from my lash curler all day! Fan-tas-tic stuff! And its super cheap. I am happy to finally say .... HG MASCARA for me!
'This has been my HG mascara for almost 10 years, far better than any high end mascara and I'm still using this. Only a single coat is needed for maximum volume and does not clump and is easy to apply to lower lashes. 2 coats for the fake eyelash effect.
Did L'Oreal change the formula? I'm not getting the same effect anymore! This has been my "go to" mascara for years. I like switching up my make up, but there are those products out there that we go back to. I love this mascara! I find it kind of expensive; 10.99 Canadian, but I love it! :-)
The original voluminous has been in my mascara rotation for years. Love the way it volumizes and lengthens. Like a prior reviewer mentioned, L'oreal does animal testing and I hate that. However it is my understanding that animal testing is conducted on all ingredients on every cosmetic, so just because a cosmetic company does not perform actual animal testing themselves does not mean that the ingredients were not tested in their pure form before they mixed together a new mascara, eyeliner, etc.
