I use this for liquid foundation and sometimes powder highlighter. It blends foundation very well and you can build up the coverage with it. I put some product on the back of my hand, dip the brush, and then blend away. It's a 'thirsty' brush so there will be quite a bit of product absorbed but I don't mind that. I'd rather lose some product and have a good result rather than no product loss but sloppy application. This is a personal preference, of course. I wash it after two uses - I find that once it's been used and absorbed product, the performance starts to dwindle. I don't use liquid foundation very often so I like to have it clean all the time, especially that I use it for powder highlighter. It blends that very well also - and it doesn't need washing after two uses because powder doesn't cling as badly to it as liquid foundation does.I've also used it with the Bourjois CC cream, it blended very well - again, had to wash it after two uses as the performance was dwindling due to the build up of product in the bristles.I don't know if I'd call it a 'holy grail' product but I would buy it again if my current one became unusable for any reason.Overall, it's a good brush. And as a note if it helps anyone - I use a soap bar to clean it. Nothing fancy, just a bar of soap. All my brushes seem to do well washed with just a simple bar of soap (and not all my brushes are RT).

After owning this brush for a year, I've decided that I don't very much like it. The bristles prick my face and the whole head of the brush feels coarse against my skin. It's like the roughness of a konjac sponge. I much prefer the RT buffing brush, or the velvety smooth Sephora #56 brush, or even th ELF flat top powder brush.I will say though that I like it for a specific makeup scenario, and that is when I've already done my eyes and I need to apply my foundation around it. The size and shape of the brush head are perfect for this. I've found this brush works best with a really thin, runny foundation, in my case, I like it for the Garnier Oily-Combo Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream. I think that with a thicker foundation it can start to look streaky. But a dense brush like this can help apply a thin foundation in a thicker way, giving heavier coverage than if I'd used my fingers to apply as I normally would, without having to layer and without a lot of caking.I wouldn't use it as a contour brush because it would apply the color too heavily, but I do like it to rub out harsh edges. I also tried it as a cream blush brush but I prefer the more diffused look I get when I use the RT buffing brush for cream blush. All in all, my first thoughts when I use this brush are: "Ow. That is *rough*." It performs well but because of how it feels it's not one of my first picks.

I really like using this brush for foundation. I have not used this brush for liquid, just mineral foundation since it is dense enough and picks up enough product and can buff it into my skin. It is very soft and does not scratch my face. I have not noted any shedding either. I like the way it is sculpted as it is great to get into the corners of the face such as around the nose and eyes. I would definitely recommend and would repurchase. It is fairly good, especially for the price.

Works with liquid or powder foundation, so much easier than using fingers. Washes well too.Great value for money

I'm a fan of this brush -- I purchased it not to apply foundation/TM, but instead to buff it out after I blend with my fingers. I agree with the reviewer who called this a "thirsty" brush -- if I use the brush to straight-out apply a liquid product to my skin, it doesn't apply as sheerly as I would like and seems to use a lot more product than if I use my fingers to dot and blend. However, for buffing foundation out, this brush is awesome -- it makes my TM look very natural and skin-like, which I love. It does get gunky fairly quickly (after about 2-3 weeks of near-daily use), so I make sure to clean it when it starts behaving oddly -- the buffing becomes streaky or patchy. I use Dr. Bronner's (amazing) peppermint soap to clean my brushes, and this brush dries quickly overnight and is still soft, yet firm in the morning. I've owned this brush about 2 years, and I haven't seen any signs of weakening (shedding hairs, etc.), but I would buy it again if I had to for any reason.

LOVE this brush!!!I have had it for 2 years and it is still just as good as the day that I purchased it. Along with being soft and applying my foundation like a dream it is so easy to clean, brushes I have tried in the past have held the product in forcing you to work harder to clean them which could damage or loosen the bristles. I love that it is affordable too! Occasionally Ulta will have a promotion featuring buy one get one 1/2 off, you can also combine their store coupon with the sale :-)

I loved this brush by Real Techniques. I thought it would be a lot bigger, but it applies foundation like a dream. It's so soft but still firm and therefore it doesn't waste any product but applies everything smoothly. I used this brush on my sister and she absolutely loved this as well. I'm in love with this brush and I would buy it over and over again. It's absolutely amazing and the price is perfect. I recommend this to anyone and everyone!

I use this brush to apply full coverage foundations and buff out cream blushes. I like to spray the brush with fix + and buff the product on with it after the creme/liquid foundation has already been applied to my face with either my fingers or a classic paint brush foundation. This technique minimizes the waste of product, improves the coverage, and reduces the application time. The brush is inexpensive yet high quality. It is very soft and durable. I have washed it various times and it still performs beautifully. The biggest downside of the brush, which is something that doesn't bother me, is the size of the brush. The brush is a little small for a face brush, but I prefer this design because I can really target certain areas such as my jawline for cystic acne spots and hard to reach places like the sides of the nose. For people who want a quick 30 second foundation application, this is not the brush for you. This has a specific design that is great for those who really want to achieve perfect coverage.

This is such a really great brush, I use it to apply liquid foundation, I also have the RT buffing brush which is a little less dense than this one. This brush has lovely soft bristles but itís dense and firm, it is perfect for both stippling or buffing. I have found since using this brush I do not have to reapply my foundation or even really touch it up. If I lost this brush I'd go out and immediately replace it.
