I got this in Pink Plush, love the color. But I personally wouldn't consider this a lipstain. More of a colored/pigmented lip gloss/temp. color. I was highly disappointed after using this product. Will not buy, ever again. Waste of money, I don't understand how it's getting good reviews...

I chose the color Berry Heavenly 120. I love the color, I love how bold it goes on, it smells GREAT, and feels nice on the lips initially. As time goes on it is drying on me, and the color ends up becoming patchy, despite not eating or drinking very much, or being careful.
I do like it with a clear balm or gloss on top, which helps with the patchy-ness issue. The product that gets compared to this item sometimes are the YSL glossy stains. I have a peach color from that line, and I can honestly say that while the YSL does evenly stain your lips and doesn't become patchy, it doesn't last as long as the Maybelline. The only issue I have with Maybelline is the patchy-ness but I am willing to deal with that considering I like everything else about it.
This was my first lip stain. I figured I would try it because I hated the Color of my gloss fading or how my long hair would stick into the gloss if the wind blew it in my face but this dries nicely so that problem is gone. I have the berry heavenly shade and it isn't that much darker than shown. I love it BUT it can look uneven and clumpy on my lips. If you apply it very heavily you will experience that. Overall I like it. I would recommend it, but do not buy if you expect it to last the ten hours. Nothing ever really does that.

I bought this in 130 Refreshing Red and wow is it pigmented. It's a very deep berry red that gives me an almost "vamp-y" look and intensifies any other makeup I'm wearing. The shade is beautiful and I love it when I'm going out to some formal event. It's a bit sticky at first, but it is great looking and isn't too shiny after a while. It stains my lips nicely but doesn't get on my boyfriend's, which he appreciates.
I'm sure it would look more striking on paler skinned individuals than me. The tip applicator isn't a huge problem and the makeup itself feels very wet and watery, but these are all subjective. There is a distinct smell that reminds me of berries, but it isn't all unpleasant to me.
I have the Forever Coral shade, and first thing I have to say is that it is NOT a coral. At the very least, not when using the regular wand, though in fluorescent light it does look orange toned while it dries. Because I am a constant wearer of red lipsticks, I love this for something a little less high maintenence and different.
I love the texture of this. It looks somewhat creamy, though feels gel like, and while it can take a few awkward swipes to get an even colour, it usually ends up well. I do have to leave my mouth open for about a minute or so, or I get a strange uneven-ness in colour between lips. I wear this colour while working out, and while eating and drinking. No, it does not stay on for 10 hours, but if I touched it up a little, I'm sure it would definitely last. Oh, and I absolutely LOVE the scent of this product... so yummy.
I will probably buy this again in different colors, probably in the pink and the mauve. I currently have Refreshing Red.
It applies dark and thick if you use the built-in wand, and it looks like a lip color. I prefer to use a lip brush to put a lighter layer on. The effect using a brush is more of a natural lip. With a brush, I can layer this over a chapstick that's been absorbed into my lips a bit and mitigate future dryness. The color is much more manageable for me with a brush; I'm pale and don't want to rock super dark lips all the time. The gloss eventually goes away and leaves more of a stain. I have to reapply as frequently as a cream lipstick, and that varies day by day. I am concerned about overall appearance rather than longevity, and I like it pretty well.
D/S vs H/E: I am addicted to YSL Glossy Stains. I honestly can't afford $32/pop for the YSL, but keep buying them them. I bought this to see if it's comparable. The Maybelline is the closest thing I've tried, but it's not a dupe or satisfactory replacement. I would definitely buy one YSL over 5 Maybelline.
Not bad but not great either. I got the coral color and at first application it did look like a dark coral that leans slightly pink on my pigmented lips. However after it dries, the color turned darker, sort of more reddish than coral. As far as "gloss" is concerned, I wouldn't go so far as calling it that. Sheen is more like it since it has a slight sheen when first applied but like most stains, whether department store or drugstore brands, it will dry to a matte, flat color after an hr or so. Also like any stain, a lip balm is needed after a while because your lips will feel dry, as it did with this. The color itself lasted 2-3 hrs and this is with eating and drinking. I gave it 3 lippies because it did not fade in patches or with a ring around the lip like some stains do. It was also relatively inexpensive compared to department store brands that perform almost identical. All in all, not a bad product but would probably not repurchase.
I bought the lucious lilac and on my lips it looks more like a dark purple color. I am returning it. I own plenty of lilac lipsticks that are not dark like that. I looked lilac when you pull the applicator out of the package but the swatch in my opinion was darker than I thought it was going to be. I put it on and was like well I can put lilac lipstick over it and brighten it up but what is the point of that it is a waste of time when I can just wear the lilac lipstick and take that mileading color back.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product, (I HATE those stupid felt marker tip "stains" they are not stains they dry out so quickly it's like throwing your money away!) I just wish it came in more colors so I could buy more!!! the trick to this product though is a little goes a long way, it's definitely a stain, not a gloss and they need to re-package the applicator, my finger works much better. Apply a light coat on your upper and bottom lip then blend with your finger.
so far I have
Refreshing Red,
Cool Coral,
Pink Plush,
Mauve Dream (this one works GREAT as an everyday lip for almost all skin colors) and
Fresh Fuchsia.
It ALSO works AMAZING as a BLUSH (just use a little bit and keep building and rubbing in circular motions with your fingers) it lasts all day on your cheeks and looks much more natural than powder blushes. In short, the people with the negative reviews just haven't blended!! If they had this would be on the top of their lists! And sorry about all the capitalizing, this product has just terribly misunderstood!!!

Ugh. So annoyed with myself!
I swatched these on the back of my hand and bought three, Forever Coral, Forever Plum and Forever Pink. I already own BeneFit pink, coral and red tints but I wanted ones that are easily taken out and I thought these would be great. They were darker and more vibrant than I expected, but when the gloss wore off it left a nice hint of colour.
Big, BIG mistake. On my hand the tint was subtle - on my lips they are not. They show up every little flake and crack and wear unevenly, so when the gloss is gone I *have* to reapply or it looks patchy. But I don't like the colours of the gloss! Once the gloss wears off on my lips, the tint is very, very vibrant and none of the colours suit me. The plum is too dark, the pink is too bright, as is the coral. The wand is horrible as well - it's got a little hole in the middle where the gloss sits, so when you apply it, all you get is the gloss in the middle part of your lips not all the way round, and I don't want to have to carry a lip brush around with me - this is supposed to be a convenient product!
Lastly - the smell. I hate it. It is one of those bubblegum, overly sweet scents that some might like, but that turn my stomach. Really unpleasant. Puts me in mind of a childhood medicine that I didn't like!
Overall, a waste of the £15 I paid for the three as I don't think I'll use them.
