The finish on this is AMAZING! So natural no itch it's very light feeling when you wear it. I don't look like a greaseball like BE. No itch at all. I have fairly large pores on my nose this makes them disappear. I can't say that about any other mineral foundation. I'm a MAC NW15 and use extra light. It's me enhanced and I just love it!
BE made my face itch and I looked like the gold gal from James Bond movie. Jane Iredale was too cakey looking and drying. BB has none of these issues and I've used it most of the summer in light/medium shade and it was perfect. For winter I've switched to the light shade. It gives me a luminous look without looking cakey.... just a dusting of it over sun screen or tinted moisturizer works great! Since I'm older with dry skin, I have issues but this powder works without settling in my wrinkles and makes my skin look great.
I usually don't write reviews on here, but seeing as this is a new product, I'd figure I would write one. To keep it short and simple, I LOVE this foundation. The coverage is buildable and the powder is very fine so it never looks cakey. With one application my skin looks smooth to the touch. If i have some extra coverage to do, I can repeat the application, but it never looks unnatural. I have oily skin and I don't have to blot as often as a usually do when I use a liquid foundation.
Best of all, I haven't broken out from this. It is very different from bare minerals (which broke me out with cystic acne). It does not contain bismuth oxychloride which tends to give some people allergic reactions. I would recommend this product to everyone! I wear light to medium and with my darker Asian skin I would have thought that I would wear a darker shade, however, it matches perfectly!
OK - lets be real. this stuff changed my life. no joke. I usually buy bobbi stuff anyway as her products do the best for my skin, i had been buying her liquid foundation forever now because the color match is perfect and i just like that it has a lot of staying power on my face. prior to purchasing this mineral makeup, i had just been using the bobbi loose powder over the foundation but i felt it was not providing enough coverage at all and wanted something that lasted longer and made my face look better. so i went to the bobbi counter to restock on my foundation and the girl recommended i try this instead of the usual loose powder. i really like it so far - it looks awesome in photos. it makes skin look pretty flawless (but then again i dont have a lot of acne or breakouts at all, i get them maybe once a month) so i am not sure how it would fare for those with more breakouts. but in general i like the combo of the foundation and mineral makeup i think it provides just the right amount of coverage, because i also dont wanna look like im wearing tons of makeup. it's a very high quality product, a little goes a long way. but i have to admit its kinda expensive, but i think its worth it. so that pricetag may deter some buyers. also, the actual packaging is kinda lame. if you leave it in an overnight bag or something and it gets tipped over and a lot of product spills out, there isnt a way to get the minerals back in. which kinda sucks but i try to just keep it upright so it wont tip over. overall i recommend the product, i didnt have very high expectations when i bought it but it has outdone them all.
I've tried other mineral powder foundations and found them to be cakey and mask-like, but decided to try the new BB mineral foundation and I'm SO glad I did. It's lightweight and looks so natural. It really does look like my skin, only better. It doesn't feel heavy, even if I use a second "coat". I have oily skin and worried about it looking too shiny after wearing it for awhile, but it lasts from morning until evening without touching it up at all. It also does not have that fake shimmer which I really dislike all over my face. I use BB Face Base underneath and it makes a nice primer for foundation. This is a foundation I'll definitely buy again and again.
LOVE this!! It does not settle into pores and make you look old and greasy like so many other mineral foundations. It is SO smooth on the skin, melts right into it and looks like SKIN but healthy, glowing, even-toned skin. FINALLY, at age 39 I find a foundation that looks natural and really does what it is supposed to do without looking cake-facey at all! I am an NC 25 (goodbye Mac Studio Fix, after 15 long years!), for reference and got the light-medium. I wear BB golden/light bronzer over it and two of her blushes (Desert Rose and Pale Pink for a pop). I LOVE her make-up!!!
Wonderful- I have worn 2 days so far, and each day someone said I was "glowing"! I am using the BB oil control moisturizer underneath and the mineral powder brushed on over top. I use Light in this (am light in the TM, warm sand in the luminous pressed, and beige in the moisturizing, for reference- NC25 also). Very nice finish- natural and luminous yet not greasy and doesn't settle into wrinkles.
I bought this product last week and have been really pleased with it so far. I am lucky and have very few breakouts, and pretty good clear skin, but i just cant stand anything thick on my face, and i hate how liquid foundation always settles in the edge of my nose and chin by the end of the day. I'd love to wear no foundation but then i dont think i look like i've made an effort. With the BB mineral foundation i get that "no makeup" feeling and a nice even "made up" look. Id say it has staying power equal to the BB liquid skin foundation, and a nice matte finish without being powdery. The package looks a bit small.... i wonder how long it'll last me.
This mineral foundation has a very nice, light coverage and stays on well.I had used Jane Iredale(also really good)and this is very comparable. I love all Bobbi Brown and this is no exception. As a make up junkie, this has become a favorite. When I want a little more coverage, my favorite is Giorgio Armani Foundation.
I do love this mineral foundation, it finishes up in the skin exceptionally well. The only thing I have to say is that I wish the packaging had a swifter as it can get fairly messy quick. It gives okay coverage on its on but finishes off a liquid product wonderfully. I am in the Light to Medium shade (for ref, I am an NC30) and really like how soft and smooth the product is. I love it better then laura mercier's because it doesn't have shimmer in it and controls my oily t-zone fairly well. I do need to blot, but my tzone gets oily with any product.
