The only thing I loved about this product was because of the natural ingredients and the coconut smell. But it left a film of white residue when my hair dried and it did nothing to enhance my curls. I also had people left and right asking me why my hair looks gray. It smells really good but the product is too thick. Thank God walgreens refunded my money back. I won't purchase this again.
My daughter has long, thick, curly hair that forms ringlets. This is the first product that has restored moisture and shine. She started it when she stopped using shampoo.
My hair is fine, wavy, colored, and dry. It has restored moisture for me, too. When I started using it, I cut back shampoo frequency to less than once a week. I continue using Ojon Instant Damage Restorer but need it only when I shampoo.

My hair is full of tiny kinks, ringlets and coils. Most products that are supposed to moisturize my hair leave it too sticky and curl enhancers leave it too stiff and brittle. Beautiful Curls works, but I find it waaay too smelly. Finally! Shea Moisture keeps my hair from drying out and preserves (but doesn't really enhance) the curl pattern.
While the hair is soaking wet, I put some smoothie on my fingers and use the Teri LaFlesh method of smoothing my hair in sections, small chunk by small chunk. The product is only somewhat curl-defining, but the big payoff for me is that my hair doesn't dry out and break off.
However, I find that any shea butter product builds up on my hair, and this one is no different. I need to use a clarifying shampoo from time to time, but I really won't complain about that. For me, this is closer to HG than I've ever gotten. I use a lot of it, and there's still a ton left in the jar. Very nice.

As a conditioner, it is terrible on my hair. As a moisturizer, not exactly the best but it will do in a pinch. As a styler, it's okay. Basically I am using it up but I will not repurchase. Maybe my hair is not looser in curl pattern I have no idea. But I am glad folks are supporting this company.
I recently purchased the Shea Moisture Curl and Shine Kit with organic Coconut and Hibiscus and this was one of the items in the kit. It's smells like tropical goodness and the consistency is thick, so a little goes a long way. It's not greasy at all and I can actually pronounce the in gredients that are in it. I usually use it when I co-wash my hair. I really don't think that it enhances my curls but it does hydrate them.

Ive heard a lot about this product through the natural hair community and I must say This product works great on my 3b, 3c hair. It really does enhance my curls and isn't heavy on my hair. I tend to use a light oil with it because it isn't extremely moisturizing , but definitely doesn't leave my hair dry and brittle. I would definitely recommend

I really like this, it is pitched for thick, curly hair, mine is thick wavy/curly and very course, and I need a leave in product that will soften my hair, previously I had been using Kinky Curly Knot Today, which was also great, but super expensive and I needed a lot of it, so not affordable.
Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie, I was a little worried about all the oils in this, but I started out using a small amount on wet hair, then adding some gel on top to define curls, and plopping in a towel. My hair turns out great every time, no frizz, the oils seem to absorb into my hair nicely.
This will last a really long time, all organic ingredients, no cones etc. continued >>

This is my absolute favorite hair product. I have a lot of fine, very curly, long hair. I think my hair is so much healthier since I started using this product. Even though it's a bit pricey, a little bit goes a long way. Second-day hair isn't the greatest, and air-dried works the best, but overall this product is great.

I gave this product a good 3 months of trial and error to give it my fair judgment.
What I realized is that it works best when my hair is still wet because it moisturizes it better, whereas when I put it on dry hair, it just coats it and feels greasy.
And i can only use it that 1 time when my hair is soaked. When its dry and my curls are formed i use other products to enhance 2nd day hair, like the style milk from the same brand. Since i don't have to use it that much, it makes it convenient and well worth it!

I really like this product! I'm 4a, so it doesn't enhance my curl....but it moisturizes my hair like nobodies business! I use it to twist with or just to moisturize a puff or bun and it always delivers. The smell is amazing, it isn't greasy, and doesn't weight my hair down. It does offer some buildup, but whatever...that's what clarifying shampoo is for! I'm all out right now, but this will be replenished!
