I have quite oily hair and I've tried more than a few dry shampoos (Got2Be, Pssst!, Grafix Salon...) and this is one of the good ones. I admit that I think that they're all about the same, but I really would not recommend Grafix if you have black hair and to stay away from Got2Be (terrible overall, esp. the smell).
I really like the amount of gas in it (weird, I know). Compared to others, I noticed that the burst/application is a lot stronger (if that makes sense). Every time, you know that you're getting good coverage without spraying too much on, something that tends to happen w. other dry shampoos.
A lot of people complain about the scent, but it's not that bad. And it goes away after a short while.
Used this for years now! Hate to be without it. I cannot wash my hair too frequently without drying it out. So I don't and this is my hands down favorite dry shampoo. It works. The best way I've found is to flip my head over, spray all the roots, massage in, let sit and then brush out w/boar bristle brush. I do hate that the cans run around $8 here and that they don't last too long for me. I should probably find an online source that would give me some discount bulk case price or something. I seriously can't stand to leave my hair unwashed when I don't have a can of this on hand.
Pros:
Affordable
Inoffensive smell
Doesn't leak. ever.
Brushes out easily
Doesn't smell like Blush
Cons:
Slightly drying (you might have to clarify and moisturize)
Easily the best dry shampoo i've used so far. If you're looking for a dry shampoo, this is the one to try first.
The final result is hair does look less greasy, smells clean, with more life, and in my case slightly lighter, however this may be due to the light colour that comes from the can. Due to this problem that was recorded Batiste have since released a range of dry shampoos that are tinted to suit different hair colours.
The scent I am left with on my hair I really enjoy, and is certainly nicer than smelling of booze or whatever else my hair had been through. The scent is a clean, chemical with a slight citrussy scent, but mainly chemical. However like furniture polish it is a scent that is not offensive to the nose. My hair does not appear or smell as nice as it would with a normal hair wash, however it is great if you're in a hurry, or can't get to a shower easily, such as at festivals.

Best dry shampoo I have tried so far. I prefer the Original Scent. The Blush scent is a little too floral for me.
Yes it works, but actually, for some reason, not as good as the brunette one - my hair gets less volume and gets oily faster with this. It feels oily again after an hour or two with this, and it feels like I'm left with a lot of residue in my hair. Also: it smells lemony, but not the good type - the stuff I clean the toilet with smells the same. It's a chemical smell that isn't appealing to me at all.
I guess I give this a 3 and not a 2 just because it's better than nothing, and actually somehow works...
I bought Batiste a while ago, and just rediscovered it on my linen closet's shelf. I usually use my Suave dry shampoo with awesome results, but I decided to give this stuff a whirl again.
What a regret! It smelled like an old man, and my hair instantly went clumpy and got a white cast to it. After brushing through (praying it would look better) it just looked greasier. I wound up using my Suave over it.
I know MUAers have some serious love for this stuff, but I don't understand it. I'm sticking with my Suave. It works better and is about $4 cheaper. And doesn't smell like an old dirty man.
Fantastic dry shampoo. Does everything I ever wanted a dry shampoo to do. I spray it from about 12 inches away in short spurts trying to get at the roots, but it into the roots and comb out. Holy s*** my hair actually feels no longer greasy, smooth, clean, slightly fuller and it just looks great! I've tried the Suave one before and it was absolute crap. This actually gets the job done. I will be much lazier about washing my hair now. Oh, I should add that I have almost jet black hair and it doesn't leave any white residue, my hair looks just the same color as it always is.
UPDATE: Taking off a lippie since I find that you cannot exceed one application w/o getting gunky buildup. That means I can only delay washing hair for a day or two max and I would really like to find a product that allows me to go longer in between shampoos. Also, it does irritate my scalp slightly.
This is the first dry shampoo I've used. I've been sceptical in the past (have visions of walking around with obvious powder talc marks in my hair!), but my cousin raved about it so I thought I'd give it a try. I usually wash my hair every other day. On the 2nd day it can be a little greasy at the root. I spray this on and left it for a few minutes then brushed out and if definitely made a difference. My hair was fresher and it took that greasy look away. It's definitely not a substitute for washing your hair, but made that 2nd day look a little fresher. I'll definitely be using this again.

I love this stuff. I'm on my 3rd can of it. Yes,the packaging is boring,so what. Smell,is plain and not great. As for how it works, its great. I use it on days when i don't wash my hair. My hair is fine, thick & colored. It really lengthens the amount of time after i color my hair because i don't have to wash it as much. I just spray my roots with it, that's only where i need it and i'm good to go! Batiste Works Great in my books,I love it! :) continued >>
