I needed to defend one of my favorite mascaras. Ladies - this is cheap and is not waterproof. But if you use it for a couple months, I honestly believe you will have the same results I did - MY LASHES GREW. I thought that only happened when you use a serum. I've used L'oreals lash growth serum in the past, but had run out. And during that time, I was looking for a cheap mascara that didn't irritate my eyes and was easy to wash off at night (I wear contacts). Enter Mega Protein. It's not perfect for me because it's staying power is very weak and I can't do my bottom lashes. However, it doesn't flake or shed during the day, so that's huge. After using it for weeks, my eyelashes are the longest and lushest they've ever been in my life!

To me, it's an okay mascara for it's price.

pros: A really great price! It looks natural and doesn't get clumpy at all.

cons: It doesn't clump, but it was smudgy for me. You also don't get that much mascara.

The Very Black (kind I buy) is intensely black.
Does not run or rub off onto your eyelids.
I forgot to grab my then-normal mascara on weekend while I went on a small trip and stopped a Walmart to pick up another. I was looking for an inexpensive mascara and came across this for $1.99. I figured, eh, I'll give it a go. Even if it doesn't work, I didn't spend a load of money and it's only to get me through the weekend.
Tried it and LOVED it.

This is such a great product. I love that it goes on a little wet. Drier mascaras dont get every lash in one swipe and they don't get to the end of my lashes. I have length but not fullness and most mascaras will just stop before the end of my lashes and make a blunt end like I snipped them with scissors. This goes to the end and in one swipe. I also get a good volume with this and not spidery. It's smooth. It washes off really easy. And for $2 you couldn't ask for better. I curl my lashes before I put this on and they stay curled although this mascara doesn't add any curl itself. I have repurchased this a couple of times and will keep repurchasing.

AMAZING! I have stubbly asian lashes and this is the best lengthening mascara ever! I only paid about $1.00 for this product and I've tested out pretty much every mascara in the world. There is no formula or no brush as good as this product's. I use it on a daily basis, and it does not smudge or run.

I bought this for the price because I just wanted to try something new. This stuff is only $2.
This mascara is okay but I personally think its worth it for the price. I think this is good to have around just in case you run out of mascara or something lol

This formula is really wet and my lashes can't really hold up so I don't really get a curl but it does darken and kind of thicken my lashes.

For a really good, cheap mascara, try the WnW megawink. That goes for $3 I think. It's a drier formula and it's one of my absolute favorites. I would've gotten that one instead but my local Walgreens doesn't carry it and in order for me to get it I have to order it online which is a pain in the butt

EDIT: Changed this to 4 instead of 3 lippies because I've found a way to incorporate it into my daily routine. I use an eyelash comb with this and I've never used it with any other mascara. My lashes can't really hold it up so they start to droop and so I curl them again while it's wet :p I know it's bad for them but only few lashes have come out and I'm OK with that. Then I add another mascara on top (should be a dry formula) and I get some pretty good lashes. They end up looking pretty thick and long (:

This is quite honestly the worst mascara I have ever tried. I like that the brush is at an angle but that's where the positive ends. I am not a high end mascara user and I am usually a big fan of WNW products. This gave me three giant lashes and lots of clumps. Didn't add length or volume, just color. I'm not picky about mascara, but this time, I got what I paid for, which was not much. Will NOT re-purchase

Bought it on sale for $1, thinking that like other Wet n Wild products, it was going to be a steal. This product did nothing. For a surprisingly fat tube, there wasn't much product to begin with. Used it maybe 5-6 times before it felt empty. Then there was the issue of this mascara doing nothing at all besides darkening my already black lashes slightly. Boooo.

I bought this product thinking it was a rather good deal since Wet N Wild hasn't failed me yet. Sadly this time it did. I loved the dark color it gave my lashes, however, it clumped them up together and I would have to wiggle my wand around more then what needed. And doing that just added more mascara to my lashes then what was needed! It was also rather hard for me to take off and it left my lashes feeling, 'dirty' feeling, and almost waxy feeling too. Won't buy this again.

I bought this to use as a cheap "primer" under L'Oreal's Voluminous Million Lashes because ML makes my lashes super crunchy and brittle. I was hoping this would give me a little volume under ML, it does the job for 2 bucks. Once in a while I'll wear it alone, which is pretty much like a lash tint, definitely doesn't really have any oomph volume or lengthing. But, it's a nice break from the crunchy mascaras out there, and my lashes do look a little healthier (probably because L'Oreal and Maybelline mascaras are a bit drying). This is a mascara for people who like a natural light look. If you want drama lashes, look else where. But for the price...nobody should really complain. :)
