Wow! I absolutely love this powder. I was a bit hesitant at first buying a loose powder as we all know how that goes in the makeup bag...however, as this is a setting powder I figured I wouldn't need to take it with me during the day anyway. It's fantastic! I think it is working really well too becasue I use it with the Laura Mercier powder puff and press the powder into the skin in the mornings. It sets my foundation competely without looking chalky even though it's translucent. It has the most gorgeous fine texture and makes my skin feel super smooth and I have had lot's of compliments for my porcelain complexion just lately.
Usually with this powder I will not have an excessive amount of shine even after a really long day in the office. I'll be interested to see how this goes in humid Sydney summer so I'll get back to you on that one. But so far, even after gym or sweaty, usually shiny face days it's been smooth sailing. I've been using Elizabeth Arden extreme conditioning cream spf 15 under it and even though that is a slightly oilier day cream it hasn't bled through this powder.

I had this in the undercover pot and i had it for a long time before i realized how great this setting powder was. It doesn't give you the dusty cakey look and keeps your makeup looks nice and matte. I also have oily skin and this doesnt make it produce more or make it look super oily after a little while (like some powders can do) I will purchase the full size.
I pick up a bunch of this product with my fingers (this could get messy if you don't have steady hands) and rub & blend it into any area with noticeable pores and lines. The creamy texture of this powder allows me to do this successfully. It has to be this particular loose powder; the other Laura Mercier powders cake or ball up when I do this.
I noticed that if you use this method on a bare, foundation-less face, it tends to produce the dreaded "polka-dot" effect (especially on your nose) because the powder does have a light beige tint to it. However, this could be your savior when your foundation starts to fall apart while you're out. The powder performs wonderfully as a touch-up, even on slightly-to-moderately sweaty skin. Also, if you're less than pleased with the results after using a foundation that has great coverage but looks cakey/accentuates your pores and wrinkles, applying the LM powder in this manner will save the day by producing an effective "soft-focus" effect.
This product is a bit drying, so I intend to put more care into making sure my skin is well-moisturized when I go to sleep (so that I wake up with a well prepared "canvas" in the morning). Also, I have no idea how this would fare in hotter weather and oilier skin. I will update accordingly.

J'adore this powder. A quick sweep of this atop my foundation keeps things looking fresh all day, even here in humid Florida. I do still need to touch-up a few times daily with either my MAC Blot Powder or blotting papers, but I have super-oily skin so that's to be expected. Sure, I wish it were cheaper, but it's a pretty huge container so I suspect it'll last a good while.

I do like this product a lot - but let me first say that I would only buy again if I got another good deal on ebay, or was able to swap for it.
I like that this does a good job of mattifying my skin - setting the liquid foundation after I've applied it, without making it look SO matte - the reflects in the powder are nice to give a little something to the face.
It isn't shimmer - it is just a nice glow. I have oily skin - mostly just nose and forehead (I don't say t-zone because I believe that includes the chin).
I was able to get a smaller size of this on ebay for around $9 shipped. I recommend trying that first before committing to a $34 jar - you never know what reactions you'll have or if you'll like something. I think it is best to try a smaller and less expensive amount before committing - just my two cents!
This powder is very fine and is truly translucent. It stopped me from getting oily throughout the day, and set my foundation beautifully without looking chalky at all.
The packaging is a bit of a pain because it will get everywhere when you travel with it. It would be nice if the sifters could be closed but thats not the biggest deal for me. I uncovered only half of the holes which helped.
The price is expensive as you'd expect, but at least you get a large amount of product for what you pay.
I will repurchase and I recommend it to anyone looking to set their makeup and keep the oilies at bay!

Im very very picky when it comes to beauty products, cause ive tried so many of them.
this is a loose setting powder, you have probably heard so much about it. "make your skin look flawless" for instant.
and i can realistic say, thats true.
after years of trying "oil control" powders ive finally found the best. i really coudln't believe it since its not what its ment to be in the first place. (and i should mention i have a oily tzon with a foundation thats really moisturizing, and even then, its keeping the oil at bay)
This is amazing!

At first I was concerned that I had been ripped off. This is very expensive for a setting powder - but it does seem to be keeping me more oil free than other powders I've used. It doesn't look cakey at all. A weird thing to note is that this is VERY translucent, that was one thing that I noticed immediately. Brilliant becuase my blush does not disappear and lasts all day, and your foundation looks fresh much longer.

I haven't tried too many setting powders and thanks to this product I don't have to look any further. It is amazing! I first tried this in the Undercover Pot from LM and had to buy the full version when eventually ran out. I apply MAC's Studio Fix Fluid in NC25 with the 109 brush, then LM's Secret Concealer under my eyes with the Camouflage Powder brush, then this loose setting powder with the MAC 182 brush. My face looks flawless! This really helps give that smooth matte finish and I love it! You don't need that much product at all so this product will last for a very very long time. Totally worth the money. I bought one for my aunt for Christmas.
