I am absolutely in love with this BB cream!! I originally purchased it because I thought the packaging was cute and I was just passing through the aisles at cvs but then I thought "Hey, why don't I try this?" - I read all the 10 reasons it helps with skin and all that, the price is very reasonable (it's drugstore brand, after all), and I wasn't really expecting too much out of it but my skin definitely needed a pick-me-up and a good spf along with a foundation-like coverage to mask my occasional breakouts... I have to say that the first time I put it on, I was blown away with how amazing it was. So moisturizing, solid coverage, matches my skin tone, literally lasts ALL day (and I used during the summer too), when I took pictures of my face close-up it almost looked like the pictures were airbrushed because my skin looked flawless! The bb cream is on the thicker side, but that it something that I love about it (I hate the runny/watery ones... yuck!). Sometimes I'll mix it up with a few drops of the runnier bb creams (like Wet n Wild, $3) to soften it up before applying. I have expensive bb creams but this one is by far one of complete favorites. I would never guess that it was a bb cream that cost me less than $15!!
I have oily skin and this stuff just didn't work for me. It's definitely for people with drier skin. Coverage was okay, especially for a BB cream, but it just made me oilier than usual. And REALLY shiny. It went back to CVS.
I don't understand they hypes about this product. I am Korean and have used some authentic Korean BB creams and this is not what I was looking for. I have very oily and acn-prone skin. Getting tired of using heavy coverage foundations every day, I decided to give this a try. But it failed.
-it matches my skin tone perfectly (I have yellow undertone and red spots and acne marks everywhere).
-it provides mineral based SPF 30
-it's oily and viscous- this is why people say it's thick.
-it gets oilier throuhout the day I mean like nobody's business.
-as a result, it melts away
-I believe it cloggs my pores
I really wanted to like this product as people rave about this but it didn't work for me and I'm going back to my HG foundations: Cover Girl Outlast 3-1 and Revlon colorstay
I have tried a lot of bb creams, including Asian ones which broke me out something awful. This is a great balance of coverage and lightness, definitely my fave one by far. In between a tinted moisturizer and a foundation, evens my blotchy skin, and doesn't break me out.
I recently purchased this yesterday. I thought since the price was so heavy I thought it would work great. But it ended up being to heavy and not so much good on the coverage. I also feel as if the packaging was super cheap, but I guess it gets the job done. So if you have dry skin its not perfect for you. I have super dry skin.
I'm not that experienced with BB cream but so far this one is my favorite. Provides medium coverage- takes care of light unevenness and redness. Sort of minimizes pores. Goes on smoothly and evenly. And, best of all, doesn't make my skin break out or dry out.
Buuutttt its staying power isn't that awesome, and it's pretty pricey for a drugstore brand.
Pros - does not break my acne prone skin out at all
- light/medium (200) shade is a perfect match for my NC 25 skin tone
-conceals my very uneven red skin tone and acne REALLY well, and my skin still looks like skin :)
- goes on surprisingly evenly and smoothly for a drugstore product ( not a snob, I just find that for my skin HE products usually work better)
- lasts a long time for a BB cream IMO - i would say about 6 hours with it still looking good.
- cant beat the SPF!
Cons - seems to make my face itchy around the 6 hour mark but I think alot of foundations do that to my skin.
Give it a try - I would think this would work for all skin types!
*Edit - Although it makes my skin slightly itchy around the 6 hour mark I can tell you that I have worn this for 9 hours and it does not budge! No, it does not look as fresh as when you first put it on (for me ,
It sort of accentuates pores, even thu if I have the time, I use Veil Hourglass Primer) but still, 9 hours for a drugstore foundation is huge for me! Very happy with it:)
Overall, this is the best BB cream I've used. It's on par with the Dr.Jart+ Black Label I purchased earlier in the year. It feels great, gives better coverage than any other BB cream from a drugstore, and you're given a good amount of product for the money. PF BB cream is possible HG material.
I am on my second bottle of this, but I can't quite give it 5 stars. I used the Garnier BB cream before this, and I have to say I like this one better. The coverage is GREAT, which is what keeps me coming back. I use this for quick medium coverage with a little concealing here and there, then set it all with a pressed powder. However, after a few hours, it kind of starts to slide off my face. I don't have oily skin at all either. Using a little tiny bit of this as a primer under a foundation is awesome though. It doesn't seem to slide off when mixed with something else! Overall, it's pretty good.
This BB cream is the best one I've tried! Rimmels BB cream was too orange for me so I handed it off to my sister. I even tried a CC cream by Hard Candy and it was too light it didn't really work. I had a coupon for 25% off transaction along with a $4 off coupon of a makeup purchase of $12 or more so instead of $15 I got to try it for $9 bucks so I couldn't pass the opportunity up! Im so glad I purchased! This is my HG facial product! My skin is super sensitive and as a result I have acne scaring and discoloration. This BB cream covers well and gives me a glow that looks natural and it has a Dewey finish that I love! I set with a light later of a yellow base powder to counter the pinkish tones in the BB cream and I also apply with with a small stipple brush because it provides Better coverage and looks natural. It's wonderful! And this is week two of my use and I am so proud to say thy it has not broken me out at all! In fact it actually sites my skin and calms the inflammation from a previous breakout. My mother in law complimented my skin the other day and thought I had no makeup on! She said I was lucky to be born with good features and that I looked nice without makeup on! Definitely going to repurchase! Even if I have to pay full price I don't mind at all!
Update: after using it for a week or so I started to notice it turning so orange. It oxidized badly and I'm glad because I was about to purchase a second tube. I'm not sure why I hadn't noticed earlier or maybe my skin just decided to react badly with it but its not at all the way it was when I first purchased it. :-/ oh well
