I tried the sample recently and I have to say this product is not for sensitive skin. I have never had acne in my entire life and within three days of applying I had acne like no body's business. I am glad Kiehl's provides samples before buying.

I finally splurged for this. I tried it years about when I got a deluxe sample. Didn't think much of it but maybe because I was younger and had good skin. Now, I tried it again, and it makes my skin glow in the morning if I apply before bedtime. I also love the calming scent. It's a treat to apply. I did not notice that I broke out the first few times I used, but then my skin was fine afterwards. Expensiveeeeeee though.Update: I found the sample more concentrated than the actual product that I bought. Not sure if they reformulated it or not... It went back to the store!

I took a shot and got this product, at first yeah it was good but then after about a week of using it, I noticed I started to break out, which was not a usual occurence for me. I rarely get breakouts, and also I started to have cystic pimples. I stopped using it so my skin started to recover, but I decided to give it another try since it was a very expensive product. But, there it goes again.. the break outs & another round of cystic pimples. So, I came to the conclusion that it was this product that was causing it. It was such a let down considering it was a hefty price and the claims of the company..

So I just hate Kiehls period. They claim they have stuff for sensitive skins but the ingredients just disagree with my skin.Especially this serum. I received a few testers and this stuff gave me indeed a lovely soft skin. But I got a sensitive skin and the natural ingredients just made my skin explode. My face swelled up, redness and don't forget the lovely whiteheads.

Smells and feels really nice on the skin, it absorbs super fast. However I now have a lovely connect the dots game of 6-7 cystic pimples on my face due to it, the ingredients are really irritating :( at least on my combination sensitive skin.

I have dry and sensitive skin. This oil did feel very nice but it broke me out after 2 days of use. I put it away to try it again to make sure but on the second and third use I broke out again in little bumps all over my face and I also suffered from some cystic acne on my cheeks.

My skin: very clog prone/acne prone, sensitive, oily/dehydratedI didn't notice any difference except some clogged pores/bumps. I've been using it on my arms and back of my hands since I can't use it on my facial skin. No noticeable difference.

Skin: Oily, Other, Not Sure
I'm almost 50. Skin is combination but tends towards oily. Like many of you on here, I've gone through COUNTLESS high end brands, drugstore brands, etc looking for the HG of moisturizers. I think I may have found it. I've been using this for 2 months and it has been nothing short of fantastic for my skin. My skin has acne scarring and large pores. This does not in any way aggravate my skin or cause any problems with breakouts, blackheads, etc. My skin is not what I would call 'sensitive', but it also does breakout (than you menopause!) occasionally. However 2-3 drops of this at night has been like a balm to my skin and I have been using it throughout the intense heat/humidity of the New England summer.I use Retin-A (alternatie the 0.5 and 1.0) and I use the Midnight Recovery first, then apply Retin-A after - sort of like a buffer. The results have been great. I really think this is fantastic value for the price. For the $45 or so I paid for the small bottle, after 2 months, I am only perhaps 1/5 of the way through the bottle. Cannot beat that! I highly recommend for all skin types.

This product is amazing for my normal skin. Helps to quickly clear occasional dry patches. Works very well to heal blemishes. I use once a week all over before bed and literally wake up with a fresh glow. I prefer this product to Estee Lauder serums and overnight treatments. It is a bit greasy for texture, but I don't have a problem with that, it absorbs well and I wake up with soft incredibly fresh skin. ( it does smell amazing and is very calming)
