i actually bought the equaline generic version of this, but it's pretty much the same-- the trick to using this product is to tissue it off-- like people did back in the day with pond's cream. it doesn't work so well when rinsed off with water. i just take a dime-sized amt. of cleanser & rub it all over my face to loosen the debris and makeup- then i take a piece of toilet paper (unused of course!) and wipe everything off. if there's a lot of gunk on the tissue i repeat the process until no gunk shows up on teh tissue. my skin looks refreshed and feels baby soft. also, i had a acne-prone t-zone before i started using this product. now my skin has become more calm- perhaps because the formulation of this product is so mild- it doesn't foam-- and that's a GOOD thing for those who complained below that it doesn't foam. so try this product or its generic varieties using the method described above.

I can't see that this stuff really does much. I feel like I'd do just as well rinsing my face with water instead of using Cetaphil.

I can't believe I used this cleanser for as long as I did. I'm all for gentle cleansing, but I felt this didn't do a good job. Definitely not a good choice if you wear makeup. It might be okay as a morning cleanser. What I really disliked about Cetaphil is that it seemed to be drying, and I have oily skin. On the plus side it never irritated my skin. I have now switched to Nivea Visage Refreshing Cleansing Gel which I feel does a better job and is not drying.

It doesn't seems to help my acne-proned skin.

When I used this product it felt VERY oily. It doesn't foam at all. I don't like this product and won't repurchase.

This did nothing for me and didn't remove makeup. I much prefer GlyDerm Gentle Cleanser.

When I hardly broke out, Cetaphil was FABULOUS with keeping them from coming. Now I break out every so often. I think this is a wonderful product to prevent breakouts, but not so much on getting rid of them - which really it isn't meant to do. So, once my skin calms down a little bit I would definitly buy again!

overpriced for what it is.. You might as well rub an old bottle of body lotion on your face
