*** Love this product!!! I have sensitive- combo- acne prone skin, but my skin looks beautiful since I have been using this. Maybe I was over cleaning my skin and making it more oily, and causing it to break-out!!! For the first time in years I can go outside with-out make-up on, and not frighten any-one. I wear mineral powder make-up, so this product works well in removing it. I use a make-up remover for eye make-up, and then massage the cleanser over my entire face, and wipe of with a warm cloth. I tried this product as a last ditch effort because other cleansers were making my face feel burnt. I expected to hate this product, so I am really surprised that its working!!!! UpDate-- I have to find a cleanser for my face- My skin hasn't broken out, but I'm starting to look shiny- too gentle for the oil on my face--
Tried the sensitive one a while ago as a recommendation from my dermotologist, who assumed that because she put me on acne meds my face would dry out (Wrong-it got more oily). I didn't like it, I have oily/acne prone skin and this seemed to burn when I put it on, too much so that I went back to using bar soap. But that was a long time ago, when I was first put on acne meds. Now I use Olay Daily facials for combo/oily skin. Much better at removing makeup/cleaning.

The worst cleanser ever! Does absolutely nothing for your skin. It doesnt even feel like it is cleansing your skin which is probably why it costs around the $8 mark.
Never in a million years, would I have thought I would be purchasing Cetaphil Gentle Skin Care Cleanser. That is until yesterday, when my face felt like it was absolutely on fire, due to Rosacea. The heat and humidity were terrible and I am beginning to think that's a trigger for me. It was worse than it's ever been. I've been using several different cleansers but recently almost everything dries my face and makes it burn alittle. I was somewhat oily, but not now. Out of desperation I bought some Cetaphil. It actually calmed my face down. I can't get over it. This morning it isn't burning. My skin does feel alittle tight though. This cleanser reminds me of a bland diet. It's so bare bones. There is nothing interesting, sensual or luxurious about it. I would not enjoy using this everyday, but if it stops the burning I just might have to. Maybe all of the antiaging products I have been using for the past six months will have to take a backseat for awhile. EDIT: I changed my review from a 4 to a 5. This gentle cleanser has helped me so much. My skin lately has felt extremely hot and irritated. Cetaphil is the most soothing product I put on my face right now. It never burns and it is one of the only things that calms my skin down immediately. I no longer care that Cetaphil is not fancy and cosmetically elegant. It's a lifesaver for me. It's a keeper!!

This was a very good gentle cleanser. At times though I felt it was too gentle. It didn't remove makeup very well. I like Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Cleanser better cause it is gentle, fragrance free, and removes my makeup!

pros- u can get it right at wal mart ! for not a bad price at all, cheap.. and u get quite a bit that lasts quite a while !!! its a wonderful face cleanser.... it really does do the job.. i actually was skeptcial at first b/c i didnt feel any tingly or heat... or anything i didnt htink it was really deeply cleaning my skin but low and behold it is !! its wonderful !!! the scent isnt bad.. the texture is great.. packaging nothing wrong with it the price is wonderful......it does as it says ! even for us sensative skin people
i cant even think of anything bad for this ... i read somewhere that kate boswell uses this as wel and for a celebrity who can get her hands on any type of skin product and has the money to splurge i think it says something fi this cetaphil is her favorite !!
definitely will and have repurchased ! :)
I use to use only this and never had a breakout. It was all that I could use on my face to cleanse. I usually did not have to put on lotion afterwards. But my face has changed so I can no longer use it - wished I could. But loved it when I could use it.
I always come back to this cleanser. I've tried many others just for the heck of it, but I love this one very much. It is very light and doesn't take off a whole ton of makeup but, if you don't wear a lot of makeup every day or none at all, this is perfect. I have combo skin that tends to get too dry on the cheeks if I use most 'foaming' cleansers. Cetaphil doesn't dry your skin out. It is most certainly-gentle! You can even use this in combination with a heavier makeupremoving cleanser. Or you can just use it in the morning. :)
I know derms totally recommend this stuff but on my oily/sensitive skin it leaves me feeling a little filmy. I'm used to a refreshing clean feeling, which is what I usually like. I'm using up the last of my purity made simple, which to me is a little less "thick" then this. Maybe its just because cetaphil isn't as "luxurious." I also think it makes my skin a little sticky, nothing a littel toner wouldn't solve though. Cheap enough that if you're contemplating it, it'd be worth a try.
