So I have never been a powder foundation user. Ever. But I was at the CCO and i saw this for $17.50 USD and I remembered all the rave reviews so I thought to myself if I were to ever try this product I might as well buy it for this cheap price. That day I also bought the 183 brush at the CCO for $28 USD to use with the MSF/Natural. I was so excited to try it. I swirled the 183 brush into the product and then swirled it onto my face...nothing. No color, no coverage, it was as if the powder dissappeared on my face. So I tried it with a fluffy face brush. Nothing. Then I figured out that with the 183 if I tap the product onto my face instead it gives light medium or full coverage, depending on what I wanted. Although I am still a liquid foundation user, this is great on the days were I am just going to do errands and don't feel like applying liquid. Although, if it weren't for the 183 the product as a foundation would be pretty useless to me. Can also be a nice setting powder. I am an NW20-25 and medium is a pretty good match.

I just finished my first MSF Natural in the colour medium and I don't know how I could live without this. It's great on its own and also to set a liquid foundation with. And it doesn't feel cakey or dry an my pretty sensitive, dry skin. I'm going to get another one asap!
The only powder I can wear from MAC! Everything else looks heavy and caked on, and gives me skin issues. This powder is a winner though, it sets my foundation beautifully and gives me a flawless finish... Excellent coverage without looking heavy and cakey. I use my 182 buffer brush or 187 with this. Packaging is okay, be careful with these.. the domed shape makes them easy to break, shatter, crack, etc...
I love this! I use this over my Face & Body foundation. Perfect combo for summer! I just ordered Medium Deep for summer, as Medium is getting to be a little on the light side with me tanning. I will definitely buy this again! continued >>
i have finished about 4 of these aldready. I wear it over my select spf 15 foundation to finish my makeup. I love this powder and i cannot leave home without it, i have one in my purse for touch ups and one at home. I use it with any powder brush or kabuki brush. It sets the foundation and it gives it an overall matte finish. Someitmes i wear it just by itself and it gives pretty good coverage. It's perfect for the summer. It does not look cakey or blotchy and a little goes a long way.
Great finish & cover..amazing staying power BUT broke me out as all MAC powders/foundations.I am 15-20 and color was perfect. continued >>
I decided to try this product after reading so many good reviews!! It's a pressed powder and I usually use it with a tinted moisturiser (for uni days) or liquid foundation (for going out)!
I'm quiet pleased about this product..!
It's got good coverage for a pressed powder (not as much as foundations but better than ordinary pressed powders)
and it creates a flawless look~!! like a doll~!!! I love this MATT look...!! if u want a luminous look, just add some highlighting colours on cheeks and your ready to go!
Anyway, I think this product is good for anyone who wants a pressed powder that's gentle for the skin-> mineral + good coverage! I also like how smooth this powder is.. the particles are so fine.. !!~ so when u put it on, (over liquid) ur skin looks transparent/very clear..!!
I haven't tried this on its own.. don't think I will but~ I would buy this again!!! continued >>
I LOVE their MSF's.. so decided to try this out.
Supposely--MSF are suppose to give a nice sheen n glow to your skin so it looks good when different lighting hits it... but I didnt notice anything special when applied. I use a fluffy kabuki face brush to apply but Its just super super sheer and didnt cover up anything!! 2ND try I had to use regular powder to set my makeup and dust the MSF over top.
Very dissapointed! I'll probally put this out for SWAP..
My everyday foundation!!
I use this as my mineral foundation. It is important to moisturize and prime the skin before applying. I apply with a MAC 182 or 181, buffing it right in. I always set it with a few sprays of fix+ stippled with my 187.
Looks SO natural and is so great for summer. Blushes and bronzers melt right into it for a perfect blend.
I was a long-time user of Bare Minerals, but found that my breakouts were actually caused by their formulation. After trying many other brands, MAC MSF Natural was the first one that didn't cause the breakouts. I love the pressed formula too, it is SO much less messy! It's been over a year now and I'm never going back!
