I am so on the fence with this. It depends I think on how dry my face is. It preforms better when it's more dry. The lightest shade is still a tad dark on me and I have a tan. Sometimes it looks flawless, sometimes it looks greasy. I think it may contribute to break outs but once again it seems to go in waves of how my skin reacts.
Granted I bought and started using this foundation in the summer, and not sure how this is going to perform in the winter (some here said that it works much better then). This foundation starts sliding off my face and disappearing (especially t-zone) within 30 minutes of application. Absolutely no lasting power! I will try this again come December, hopefully it would work better then. For now I am going back to Dior Nude.
Unfortunately, this expensive foundation didn't work for me. Never in my life have I used something that emphasized my pores like CRAZY, and I don't have exceptionally big ones, so what the hell????? Sorry, but this is definitely a deal breaker! It gives a luminous effect but it also settled in fine lines around my eyes (hasn't happended to me for a long time) and my blush went on blotchy. So sad that I have spent so much money on this "experiment". I will try to mix this with other foundations to see if I can at least use it up. Back to my beloved MAC Face and Body!
Update: I gave this another try several months later and found out that It looks really good if applied with a foundation brush. You also have to shake the bottle really well! Additionally, I warm it up on the back of my hand and work it into my skin with a firm foundation brush. No more problems with big pores! Not as perfect as my F&B, but still an excellent foundation that I just didn't kno how to apply correctly. I also noticed that you have to prepare your skin quite well: exfoliate and moisturize because you need good "canvas" for this makeup to glide on.
Thank goodness I got a sample of this before buying. I wanted to try it after seeing the gorgeous print ads. On my dry flaky skin, it looks horrible. It highlights every flake and it just sits on top of my skin. It's all wrong for my skin type and I will not be purchasing a full-size.
It took me 6 tries to get a color match in this foundation but the texture of this, especially on mature skin, is sublime. It makes skin look radiant but not over the top, just like true skin only improved. I finally bought buff 4C (MAC NC 25, Bobbi Brown sand, Lycogel Creme) and this color is pretty close. I finally called Lancome-usa.com for the proper color and they rec'd a color that was perfect without even seeing me (in store Lancome people love to give darker than skintone color "matches.").TMir doesn't emphasize flakes, and I get medium coverage. I do think it oxidizes a little in the summer heat but it is not too bad just a tad darker so I've been wearing Lancome Fresh Wear instead and will reserve this for fall winter. One caveat, get samples because this will change as it settles on your skin.
Love this makeup always get compliments when I wear it. I would certainly purchase it again. I am fair skinned and find 01 suits me best. I wear a makeup primer under it and find it gives a nice glow all day.
I've tried many foundations and this is by far one of my favorite foundations. Here are some Cons and Pros:
-For some reason this foundation looks a lot better in the winter months than summer months for me. It does create a underglow look so in the summer months your face can tend to look a bit greasy after a few hours.
-There needs to be a better color range. It seems that everyone I know who uses this seems to be between TWO colors. I use the BUFF 4C which is a tad darker than my skin and is a bit obvious but BUFF 2C is too light. I have also tried the Lancome Photogenic in Ivoire 2C and its PERFECT for my skintone.
-Gives a fresh glow/clean look, but still gives good coverage
-Nice bottle and pump
-Great foundation in the winter months when your skin gets dryer due to the cold temps.
I really love the look this gives to my skin - it makes me look glowy and flawless. The color they matched me to was a little light.. and the next one down was a completely different tone. I'd like to see more colors from them. Anyhow, I've gotten amazing compliments on my skin while wearing this, and as soon as I got the sample I got addicted and bought a whole bottle! Coverage is very light, more like a tinted moisturizer - fine by me as that's all I wanted, but if you want something full to medium coverage this is not for you. One downside is that my skin tends to look a little dry with this - it accentuates dry patches unless you use a primer.
I was given a free sample of this foundation a while back and it has become my favourite. On a day to day basis I want radiant, natural coverage from my foundation which can be difficult to find - some tinted moisturisers don't provide enough coverage and some foundations look and feel far too heavy for day wear. This product not only provides the perfect amount of natural looking coverage, it also lasts all day long. Plus it leaves you looking super radiant and glowy and even works wonderfully for a night time look. I pair this foundation with lancome dual finish powder for a flawless, dewy complexion. The only downside is that it is quite expensive, but totally worth investing in.
My new HG foundation, I absolutely adore it! Disappears onto my skin. Light - medium coverage, which is great for my skin as it doesn't have many imperfections. I have combination skin, and this foundation doesn't make me oily, even when I don't set with powder. Makes my skin glow. It also feels amazing on, and I quite like the smell. I suggest all of you girls give it a try! Also was able to find a shade that holds true to my NC40 skin tone. Very Happy!
