I do not really care for this. Only see a little difference, and it did not keep my oil at bay. I did my MUFE version too, a little travel size. I do not like that either.
Well, I hate the packaging. It's AWFUL! Every time I open the box, there's tons of powder around the edges and it spills everywhere and makes a massive mess, and it even seems to come out of the sides when the box is closed. And this is with three-quarters of the holes taped over!! Not to mention the box is like a brick. The actual powder itself, well, hmmm. It makes my skin feels very soft and smooth and sets my foundation nicely, but it also makes me very aware of the fact there is powder on my face. It looks really powdery and even though I am very pale you can see it on my skin. So I have to sit there buffing it in for ages so it doesn't look so obvious! Wouldn't look good on darker skins. I think I would use it now and again but I think just a pressed powder does a better job, so I will not repurchase. Points for feeling so silky and smooth though, and for the cheap price.
Up until now I had been using Macs Prep and Prime Powder which was great - then I received this ELF HD powder and absolutely love it. It goes on great and doesn't leave a white cast which Macs P&P sometimes did.And plus its very cheap and you get tons more product. Definitely will buy again.
i know everyone raves about this and ive been testing this product out alot basically trying to make myself love this but i cant! everyone compares it to make up forevers HD powder but i personally dnt think it comes close. it leaves my face with a white cast over it im medium-tan skin tone i go to the tanning bed just about everyday. i can see fair skinned people likeing this product. the packaging is HORRIBLE the stuff gets on everything! its bulky and takes up way to much room in my make up collection!
What a great powder!! For the price it's great. I think it's best applied with a brush as the pad that comes with it seems to wipe more off than put it on, but apart from that I would reccomend it, if you are looking for a cheap, good quality powder (not amazing) then look no further :)
What an amazing product. e.l.f.'s studio High Definition powder is often compared to Make Up For Ever's HD powder and often comes out on top. The trick to mastering this product is in the application. Forget the puff that comes with it. This is a less is more product which is best applied with a fan brush. It sets make-up beautifully - bit here is the best bit. It makes a wonderful mineral make-up primer. Many people have problems using liquid based primers under mineral foundation, as the primer tends to 'ball-up'. By applying e.l.f.'s studio High Definition powder first, it minimizes th look of pores and fine lines and holds mineral foundation beautifully. It stops mineral foundation from oxidising or breaking up on the skin. This is a must have product for everyone - OK sorry e.l.f. but the packaging is awful, so messy and impractical (I decant mine into a better container) but this is a small price to pay for such a high performance product that comes at such a reasonable price.
I love this powder!
It mattifies my face and makes it really really soft.
the only problem that I would have with this powder is that it does leave a white cast.
so if you have a darker skin, you might have a bit of a trouble with this one.
To the reviewer below me:
This product only cost $6 at eyeslipsface.com
it's the original retailer!
I got this for $16 on the Crush Cosmetics website and i absolutely love it! It mattifies my skin and leaves it looking smooth and silky! I used this over my liquid foundation so set it. And it gives a very natural and flawless look. When i want more coverage i would also use a powder foundation over my liquid foundation but i still finish off the look with this HD powder! Its Amazing! Worth my money! I love the packaging as well. The little black box gives it this high end feeling. It does get a little messy, just got to make sure you don't peel the sticker on the sifter all the way
While I love the look, feel, and finish of this powder, no matter how much I buff this out it always leaves a white-ish cast to my skin, especially in the summer when I like to use it most. However I have yet to find a white "translucent" powder that doesn't. I guess I'm just a little dark for these products. Still love it though!
I don't wear primer, foundation, or any of that stuff.. just this powder. Makes my face look flawless and keeps it un-oily (most of the time). It makes my skin feel and look super soft, and a little paler (which I like). If you have normal or oily skin this works wonderfully. If you have combo or dry skin..the powder shows and seems to magnify each and every dry flakey skin spot, which sucks. Moisturize before applying and that helps a bit. Very affordable at only $6! I've tried a few different finishing powders (high end) but I always come back to this one because it works better and is cheaper.
