I REALLY, REALLY LOVE THIS! You have to buy this! It is by far the best nail product out there! (And believe me I have tried them all.)I used to have horrible paper thin nails that would always peel and break. I used to bite my nails for years and years, now I don't even think about it. I can honestly say I am proud of my nails now. My Mom and I both use it and we have gotten so many compliments on our beautiful nails that I have lost count. People always think that they are fake. We always make them feel how hard our nails are and they are shocked. They always promise to go right out and buy some for themselves! My nails look better than when they were fake and they are SO much healthier! My old favorite nail hardner used to be called Nail Magic, this even beats that! It dosn't sting when I apply it behind my nails(which I always do)and it dosen't damage the cuticles. I apply two coats on clean, dry nails(one coat on back of nails) then I apply nail color. I apply more of the Nail Envy once or twice a week on top of the color. If I remove the color I start the process over again. IT TRULY IS A MIRACLE!!! I have always bought the glossy version(it works great as a top coat too) The matte version is popular with men. I even hear that J.Lo used for her Groomsmen at her wedding to Chris Judd. This really is worth the price!
great when used properly two coats on first day, then a coat a day for a week then taken off with a non acetone polish remover, then start again from scratch.
This is the best! My nails have never, ever been this long. I put a coat on every morning when I get to work and in 5 minutes, it's dry and ready to go. For the first time, my nails are holding their own when I have to go out in the machine shop to look at parts - even better than when I had acrylics many moons ago!
I am an ex nail biter, I had acrylic nails on for over a year. When I finally got them off, my nails were paper thin, very brittle and peeling.
I was tempted to start nibbling them again, when I tried this.
This really helped my nails recover, and I haven't started biting them again. It feels so good not to have to constantly hide your hands!
BAD AT THE START, IT'S PEELING AND MY NAILS HAVE CHIPPED. BUT I'M HOPEFUL AND WILL WAIT IT OUT.
That was about a couple months ago. I stopped after about 4 days. Currently, I tried Nail Envy again. It definitely strengthened my nails and let them grow. I saw noticeable results after six days week...longer and stronger! BUT, I did not like how Nail Envy chipped after one day and it just didn't stay on the nails well. Not worth the price.
So I decided to try Essie Millionails...I've only had it on for a day and I like it better. Millionails is has a thinner consistency so it's easier to apply, and it's not chipping as easily. Ladies, I would TRY MILLIONAILS BEFORE NAIL ENVY...especially since Millionails has gotten near perfect reviews!! Check out Essie Millionails!
This is soooooo worth the price. I work in retail and found my nails would always chip and eventually break. A woman came in the store and I just knew she had acrylic on her nails but they looked so nice and natural, I had to ask where she had gotten them done at. She told me they were her nails and she told me to go buy some OPI Nail Envy. I did that very same night and now people are asking me where do I get my nails done at and they can not believe that these are my natural nails with no overlay. I can't beleve that I have not broken a nail in almost six months.
This is the best strengthener I have tried as others (such as Mavala) made my nails so brittle that if I bashed them the product came off and took a layer of nail with it! Although you are supposed to apply for 1 week then remove and reapply, I found that after 4-5 days the colour looked slightly yellowy so I had to start again at that point but I don't mind that. I prefer to use this for a month to 6 weeks, then give it a break for a few weeks. This is because I found, after continuous use that I got a slight peeling of my nail if the product chipped but not as bad as with other products. If I wear it as a simple base coat under nail varnish I can wear it all the time. On the whole I recommend it and will always have a bottle handy.
God, I wish this stuff was cheaper, because, boy does it work! Anything that can go wrong with nails, does with mine. They split, peel, break, have ridges...you name it. But this stuff fixes all those things. And it made them pretty enough to wear them natural on my wedding day!
This is the second-best basecoat I've ever used. The first used to be made by Revlon, but then they reformulated so it was worthless. For years I wanted something that wouldn't start to separate from the nail as soon as I took a shower, and this is it! I HATE the price, but it works. There aren't too many products I'm willing to shell out the big bucks for, but this is one.
OPI stuff is really hard to get in the UK, and really expensive, so I tried this one only after reading all the great reviews. I'm so glad that I bought it! My nails were wrecked from wearing acrylic nails for 6 months and this stuff bought them back to life. They are normally thin and fragile, but this makes them feel strong, almost as strong as the acrylic stuff they use in the salon. I put a coat on every other day then after 8 days take it off and start again. Worth every penny and way cheaper than salon nails.
Edit:- eventually my nails started to yellow, as other people reported. Also, when they got longish they started to peel. Won't be recommending this anymore.
