When I was 16, I started wearing liquid foundation, the cheap kind (probably Maybelline) from the drugstore. When I got older and wiser, I switched to cream foundation from MAC. Then the whole minerals craze happened, and I have been using a mineral foundation for a couple years now. Even though I loved the coverage, it tended to disappear by the end of the day. (I have even tried Makeup Forever HD foundation, and this blows that stuff out of the water!)
I was browsing this site and reading review upon review of foundations, and this product's reviews caught my eye. I figured, "Eh, why not?" and bought myself a jar. Well, let me tell you, I am BACK to liquid foundation! I love this stuff, and I still can't believe it. It DOES stay like it says! I'm in the military and tend to be outside a lot, and this stuff remains on my face, even through the humidity and heat of the South. I use the Buff color on my face (fair with neutral undertones -- "Light Ivory" in L'Oreal and ), and it's a PERFECT match. I mean PERFECT. Plus, it offers fantastic coverage over my freckles (ick) and makes my skin look f.l.a.w.l.e.s.s. I cannot see the foundation on my skin when I look in the mirror. It really blends THAT well. Even though my skin tends to be on the dry side, I use the oil-free version because of the humidity down here. It has a low SPF, but for me that's good because I add sunscreen underneath it, and on the days when I am taking pictures (special occasion), I don't want high SPF in the makeup to cause my fair skin to look even more washed out.
The only thing I would change about this product is to make it available with a pump dispenser, but other than that, I cannot believe that I have thrown away my mineral foundation. Wow.
Two big thumbs up for this one. I still can't believe a drugstore product is this good.

this is pretty much the best foundation EVER. i mix medium beige and sand beige together and it gives me almost the perfect match (:. i love how this foundation stays on forever -- at least about 16hrs. i love it! my face gets oily with this foundation, but it doesn't seem to get as oily as compared to other foundation. the only downside of this foundation is the packaging! =( i feel like i waste so much product because i have to pour it out and it gets all messy. i wish they would make this foundation come in a pump, it would've been puuuuurrrrrrrrfect. but yeah <3 i would definitley repurchase when i am done! lovelovelove.
oh yeah, i think it would be better using this foundation with a primer. : ) <3
edit--
i stopped using this product....overtime i started getting whiteheads..): i use acne solutions by clinique now. :).

-- HELLO TO THE WORSE FOUNDATION ever!!!.. so i wanted to believe that a foundation with such great reviews and coverage is not irritating my skin and causing me to have whiteheads so i gave this foundation a try again.... and this time i broke out ALL OVER MY FACE with tiny whiteheads EVERYWHERE. i hate this product... i wish i didn't doubt myself about this product! ugh in the trash it goes! i had so many bottles of them too since i mixed two colors together. UGH.!

it has been almost a week since i've last used revlon colorstay. .. holy mackarel .. i still have a bunch of comedones/whiteheads on my face. & again i still refused to believe this foundation would give me so many whiteheads.. so i asked my mom to try it. i feel so bad. she had it on for about four - five hours and she began getting lil tiny whiteheads.. she then washed it off ..... and this was about four days ago.. she's beginning to develop more and more whiteheads on her cheeks ......... what the heezy is going on? i have never seen a foundation like this before, and BELIEVE ME i've tried numerous foundations! ............ this shouldn't even be legal ! continued >>
This is the ONLY liquid foundation which I finished to the last drop and purchased a second bottle. True to the name 'Colorstay', it remains on my skin even after a 1.5 hour session of hot yoga! Many a times, after my yoga session, I just shower and splash water on my face and I'm ready for my next date! No need to re-apply foundation, just some loose powder (ok ok, that's not the best practice...hee) Yet, this product has never caused any breakouts nor clogged pores.
For a texture that's so creamy and thick, it's a big surprise that it sits so well on my skin and never looks cakey. Oil control is pretty god too (by now, I'm convinced that there's no one product which really keeps your skin matte throughout the day).
The big downside is the hopelessly messy packaging. How could revlon even think of selling it in such a bottle?! Please, pack it in a pump version.

The only foundation that I will keep purchasing and using. Even though I like to try other foundations, I always find myself coming back to this one. Good oil control, has SPF (though a VERY little amount, but better than nothing) and I found a shade match as well ! I don't mind the pump-less bottle so that doesn't really bother me. My HG foundation =) Would and will keep repurchasing.

The biggest downfall to this is that there is no pump...I think that is really stupid how it doesnt have one. It is kind of a thick foundation but it is my favorite I always come back to this one. I am so pale and this is one the only lines that makes my color, other than loreal true match. It makes my pores looks smaller, and it stays al day!
I had high hopes for this foundation... after using it for a month or so, i can say i have tested it thoroughly and i don't like it. i hate the way it half hides my rosacea, as it just sits on the skin; also, i tried it with a sponge, a flat top brush, a foundation brush, my fingers, and it always looks really heavy... it has great staying power, so much, that it takes me 20 minutes to wash it off my brush.
So I'll start by saying yes I LOVE this foundation. Great coverage, I LIKE the fact it feels heavy and it does stay really well and I love the matte finish. For a while I wanted the PR but after I heard the tales of glitter... ew no. pass.
However, the nasty rank smell of paint is rather yuck to be putting on your face and the packaging could use improvement. If PR can have a pump so can CS. I find that the lack of one causes for products wastage and it was expensive so that irks me.
I would definitely repurchase and I believe their colour range is wonderful.150 buff matches me perfectly.
This is BY FAR the best foundation I have used, and trust me I have used it all. I picked this up at the drugstore one day, not even hearing all the hype about it. I went home, put it on, and was instantly amazed at how good I looked. I was surprised that such a good foundation was coming from a drugstore brand. When they say colorstay, they aren't kidding. This makeup stays FOR.EVER. I put this on at 6:00 AM, and when I go to bed it is still giving great coverage. The color really does stay on your skin. I can not say any more good things about this foundation.
It makes me look great, it lasts forever, and it is only 12 dollars.
I am a huge fan of Revlon's Coverstay liquid foundation (the original), however, the new product with Soft Flex is awful compared to the old concoction. I have found that the new liquid foundation with the Soft Flex does not apply or stay on my face as well as the old Colorstay. I had to go on eBay to get the old bottles without the Soft Flex. I wish they would bring back the old combination of ingredients and remove the Soft Flex. Whenever I wear the old combination, I get so many compliments, however, I cannot even wear the old combination everyday or it makes me break out. It is literally like PAINT - - but I love how it is not oily and the makeup I use on top of it lasts longer. I have to make sure I wash this off whenever I wear it, or my skin will have a reaction. As far as the Soft Flex Colorstay - - too oily...doesn't stay on like the old Colorstay ingredients...the new Soft Flex is just like every other foundation out there ....it does NOT stay on!! Revlon took a great product and changed it and now I will not buy the Soft Flex product and instead have to search high and low for the old Colerstay on eBay and other outlets. I will say that the Colorstay SPORT is more like the old ingredients, so that is something to consider if you are a fan of the old Colorstay without Soft Flex.

The first week i got this foundation i was in looove with it! But for some reason after ive had the foundation on all day the colour seems to get darker on my skin like it changes throughout the day.. Maybe its just me... Also the bottle made it
awkward to get the right amount of foundation out. Ive gone running back to my loreal studio secrets foundation and im not looking back  continued >>
