I am NC 27 or NC 30 and i got this in Medium Beige for OILY COMBO skin.
Medium beige has yellow undertone. I tried fresh beige but that is good for NW 30 skin.
pros
- very good coverage
- spf (although a crappy amount.. spf 6 or something)
- matches skin well
- actually lasts a long time ( ~6-8 hours? )
cons
-cakey ( accentuates dry spots!! )
- slides off on nose area
- matte finish ( i prefer a dewy finish )
- hard to blend and looks cakey if you dont blend well...
i use a stipple brush by quo ( mac 187 or 188 ), looks flawless when you put a lot of moisturizer under it.
i actually thought this wouldnt show a white cast when you take pics but despite the low SPF it still gives a white cast..
i'll go find a new and better foundation... but this was worth a try.
I got this for 15$ CAD.
I was looking for a better foundation and read great reviews on this. I was kindof disappointed.
Pros:
-Looked pretty good on my skin
-Decent color match/selection
-SPF
Cons:
-VERY heavy/thick. Probably because of the SPF, but it drove me crazy
-A little cakey
-Packaging could be improved
I don't understand the hype for this product and I don't think I ever will. It was streaky, heavy, smelled bad, and NOTICEABLE. It looked like I had caked on foundation. The bottle kind of sucks too, I'd rather have something with a pump. Ick!
This foundation is amazing. It is easy to apply, stays on the skin for up to 10 hours without retouching, isn't cakey and the coverage gives an airbrushed finish. It hides all imperfections. Having said that, it is slightly too much coverage for me, because I don't have acne, just redness. So I feel like it is a bit too much for my skin but I definately recommend it for people looking for a long lasting, good coverage liquid foundation
Great coverage and staying power, but gave me horrible cystic acne after about two days. Causes breakouts so quickly it's not even safe for special occasions.

Not bad. I found this foundation did not worsen my breakouts and was long-lasting. For some reason, though, after wearing it for part of the day, it would begin to change color. And, being sensitive to fragrance, the smell of it bothered me. It does provide opaque coverage and does a good job of controlling oil throughout the day.
I was very excited to try this product out after all the wonderful reviews, but I was very disappointed. First, the packaging is less than convenient and it's too easy to pour out more than you need. I also was not impressed by the coverage. The foundation settled into several lines, and reddish problem areas still showed through. The foundation did last all day, but over time several areas seemed to turn orange-y when the color had looked fine when first applied. Overall it was "ok," but not better quality than I've come to expect from most drug store foundations.
Colorstay foundation looks horrible on me! I have dry patches and this foundation seems to just cling to those areas and it looks cakey. I hate it. It's not hydrating at all! I did get the dry skin formula. I noticed a little bit of shimmer? I didn't like that. You can have a dewy finish without shimmer. This is a horrible foundation for those with dry skin. It's also too heavy for my liking.
If you're a dry skin gal I recommend VitaLumiere or my HG Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich (lighter-med) coverage but perfect for dry skin types.
I will give it 2 stars for the price and the wide array of colors this line offers.
In a nutshell: Best foundation I've found so far, but a bit too matte
Texture:
As many have already commented, it's a bit too thick. It doesn't really run smoothly and evenly on my face unless I try to apply it really quickly. Applying it with warm fingertips seems to help.
Colour:
Being North Asian with very fair yellow skin tone, I am pleased with the colour selection of this foundation. I bought two different colours to try out; 150 Buff and 180 Sand beige. Both suit me pretty well, although buff was maybe a bit too light. Most other Western foundations are way too pink or orange (especially Maybelline and Max Factor...their colours are ridiculous). I could recommend this product to my Asian friends with fair skin.
Wear:
It feels very matte and remains completely shine free for hours on my combination skin. Later in the afternoon the natural skin oil starts to be visible and blends with the foundation, which, to my surprise, gives a very nice dewy look. I actually find it a bit too matte for my taste as this foundation can make your face look flat. It would work well with a highlighter to give more luminous look.
