This is a nice color, but I think it would look best on really fair skin. I am fair to medium with warm tones and I had to apply quite a bit in order for it to show up. I ended up using a lot of product and given that it's $28, I would look for cheaper alternatives before buying this again.
I had higher expectation then was met with this product.
Although i do like it and wear it, i think it could be abit bolder, i have an extreamly fair skin tone and it barely shows up on my cheeks without having to mega blend it.
Saying that, i do love it on the lips tho, I've found that it works really well on top of Mac's 'Snob' lipstick and together they form a really nice pink so dont be afraid of using it as an aid to bring out your favourite pink lipsticks!
I've always wanted to try a cheekstain and I got this as a free gift with purchase at ULTA. I hate that it's such a tiny sample but it's good as a blush. It leaves a flushed pink color that's really pretty! But don't try it as a lip stain, it doesn't do anything for your lips.
It smells great! The packaging is reli cute! As a blush, it gives u a great shimmery glow and as a lip tint its a really pretty pink, but it takes a while to get a really strong colour on the lips so you have to keep layering it. Its well worth the money and i will def buy it again!! X o x o
I was disappointed with this product. I purchased it based on MUA reviews, but found it creates too much of an unflattering "flush" to the cheeks. I am fair skinned, so the pink colour was nice, but not as bright as I expected (and if you apply too much, it looks gaudy). I tried applying the product in a variety of ways - as for the lips, it didn't really show up. I gave it 2 lippies because it can look good if you're wearing self tanner or have a bit of a natural tan - that has been the only time the colour looked decent as a blush.
I think the color is perfect. It's natural looking and fresh. I used to be able to apply this evenly on the cheeks.. but for some reason i'm now inept. I prefer powder blush, but i use this to stain my lips. The stain lasts longer than lipstick, so i really like it. I put lip balm over it and i'm good to go.
I say give it a try, you might really like it, especially if you're able to apply it evenly on the cheeks.
After learning to apply it (tab and short light strokes as opposed to rubbing) i've grown to really like this blush. It's my go to blush for long days, and a natural flush. I'm giving one more lippy!
This stuff is not available in this corner of the world, so being curious about the product (prior to this I have never strayed from powder blushes) I asked my SO who was holidaying in San Francisco to bring back a bottle for me.
The packaging really is SO cute. And I really wanted to like it. BUT!!! After using half a bottle I still don't think I have found how to use this stuff. One application and I think it doesn't show up enough on my NC40 Asian skin. 2 applications and it makes me look like a clown. It didn't show up well on my fairly pigmented lips either. Staying power is not bad though, considering when I did look like a clown it hung around too long >.< ALSO!! I carry it around in my MU bag as an emergency blush, but the label is flaking off so bad it has covered everything else in the case in silver and pink glittery bits. I hate buying stuff and not using it, so I am just sticking to the one application look. I think I will stick to powder blushes...
I wanted to hate this since I hated Benetint. I love it though! It's the perfect bright pink color on my fair skin. My only gripe is I wish it was a little darker. I may try Tarte's stain as well in Flush. It doesn't do well on my lips, but I have very pigmented lips. It's also very expensive sadly, but most stains are.
i got a little sample as a gwp and i am obsessed. i'm really fair, and this gives me just a little glow on my cheeks. my favorite use is as a lip stain. i love the look of pink lips, and the closest i've come to naturalish bright pink lips is smashbox's oglow for lips. while posietint doesnt last for a super long time, its longer than the ogloss and more natural!
I use it as a blush almost every day. It's hard to find a color that works with my really pale skin, but this never fails to make me look fresh and alive.
The texture is quite thick for a stain, not really liquid, that makes it really easy to work with as it doesn't run down your face as you slap it on. I just put a stripe on each cheek and blend them, then add a second layer onto the apples to make them stand out more. Very non-fussy. I also like to blend a small dot on the tip of my nose. If you tend to look really bland and colorless, try that one.
As for the color, think of Kirsten Dunst's makeup in "Marie Antoinette". A pretty pink flush, great on pale skin. You can create everything from a barely-there blush to bubbly pink cheeks, depending on how many layers yo put on.
It's okay on the lips, but I like it better as a blush. If you have really pigmented lips, don't expect it to show up there.
Also, the staying power is perfect. Doesn't fade until I wash my face in the evening. And I'm kinda fond of the nailpolish packaging, even though everyone else seems to hate it *shrugs* It's cute. The foil around the bottle isn't that great though, it's easily scratched off and such if you're not careful with it and tends to make a flaky mess. I just don't put the bottle in any bags anymore, just let it sit on the bathroom sink so it stays nice and pretty.
Will buy again!
