I bought this instead of the finishing powder and I like this better. It sets my makeup and adds a little more coverage if I need it. Excellent to apply with a powder brush-never used the sponge pad so I can't speak for the product when used like that.

I just bought this friday and I really like it, it covers well my only problem is that it can look a little like you have cakey powder on your face if not rubbed in right(my mistake at first). but otherwise it is a great product.
What attracted me with Almost Powder was the promise of a lightweight makeup powder, and the fact that it also had an SPF. What a disappointment! It felt and looked cakey no matter how and how little I applied it. It didn't distribute well on my skin, and it was very drying. Clinique's Perfectly Real Compact Makeup is so much better. After this experience with Almost Makeup, I decided to move completely onto just wearing a tinted moisturizer during daytime, because it's enough for my skin.
I read the reviews on here and thought it was worth trying. Lately my skin has become spotty and shines around the t-zone, I have moved from cream compacts onto this powder foundation.
I gotta say that the reviews here really helped me make up my mind about this product. I bought it and have NO regrets, I buff it on with a Kabuki brush in the morning (it takes me literally 60 seconds) and it makes my skin look flawless!! The coverage is not heavy, it's very light so I have to spot conceal major imperfections before I apply this.
For someone who likes to spend every last minute under the duvet this stuff is great, it's fast, it gives amazing results and it seems to last througout the day too. I am a very happy girl!!
Bought this product in fall and tried it and liked it, but at that time did not love it. I brought it back out again when I went to visit with family on a recent trip to a warm climate. Had forgotten my regular sunblock, and had brought this with as my foundation, as I felt it would travel well. Didn't want to take the usual huge container of Glo Powder or Bare Escentials with me. Anyway, even in the strong sunshine, I did not burn on my face or neck. It had excellent coverage. I did put it on fairly heavy as I was depending on it as my sunblock, and I did not break out! The undertone (shade 03) was a tad yellow at first glance, but in seconds it blended beautifully and evenly. Interestingly enough, it appeared to become seamless with my complexion, although a tad shiny by the end of the day. Now, back in the winter climate, it has done a great job of not drying out my skin considering the brutal cold weather here. Tried my Glo, and Bare Escentials, and even Jane Iredale powder bases I normally wear in summer and fall, and they all made my face feel dry and appear flakey. Not the Clinique. I will stick with this till spring and re-evaluate it again when the weather changes. I just bought a second one this week. But, if you are listening from Clinique, PLEASE package it with a brush. The sponge is great for carrying with in the purse, but for the money, you can afford to put in even a small plastic foundation brush for good measure. Basically, that is why I gave the packaging score a 2. The brush application vs. sponge makes a huge difference in the quality of the outcome.

I got this when I bought the new "Almost Kit" in Neutral Fair at Sephora. This does have a very nice finish when applied with a brush, but I have to use a primer and pore minimizer in my t-zone under it, otherwise this powder will make my pores stand out (but then all powder fdtn's are like that on my skin). This provides decent light-medium coverage, and I seem to get less oily throughout the day, which is great! I use and love Clinique's Almost Makeup and in that, the shade Neutral Fair is spot on, but in the powder, it's slightly too dark. My other issue was that this contains a chemical SPF. Why on earth would they use mineral SPF's in almost all their other products, but include a chemical one in a powder?! I break out from any chemical s/s, so I'm afraid to use this regularly. This powder foundation is very nice, & barring any breakouts I will re-purchase, but in the "Fair 01" shade. UPDATE: I re-purchased this in "Fair 01" and it's the perfect shade for my super pale neutral toned fair skin. There is no pink in this shade, making it the perfect neutral for the super pale! Been using this every other day, and no breakouts! Really liking this powder foundation now, so adding a lippie! continued >>

This is my first MUA review, and I'm writing it because I'm heartbroken. I love, love, LOVE this foundation. The absolute best powder foundation I've ever tried, and for a very reasonable price. Coverage is great, color match is great, texture of powder is great. I've been using Physician's Formula pressed mineral powder, but this is way better.
Not-so-great: it is causing my combination skin to breakout. I was really hoping the sudden emergence of a new zit a day was caused by stress and scoured reviews, heartened by the sight of so many combo skin ladies saying it wasn't causing any problems for them...but that is looking more and more unlikely, as the weird return to high school skin problems coincides exactly with when I started using this foundation. The real test will be when I stop using it tomorrow--if my skin clears up, we'll know the truth.
The worst irony of it all is that it covers redness and blemishes fantastically. Two good swirls on my forehead and I have nice, natural cover-up. :(
I always loved Clinique products and this is one of my beloved products. It is very light and as it claims you can even apply with eyes shut. I will contine to buy this since it's very easy use for touch ups. And this powder comes with both a spong and a brush. Another reason that I love it is; 15 spf and antioxidants which makes skin perfect. I took one lippie off cos it can rarely be drying
This is a great powder fdtn. I prefer EL DW powder fdtn over this one, but this is almost as good. It has great coverage with the sponge, and goes on quite smoothly when I use moisturizer.
