I have extremely DRY skin. No joke so I cant use this alone. But I mix it in with my NUANCE BY Salma Hayek - Tinted Moisturizer and its perfection because... here is my story... I purchased salma hayek tinted moisturizer but it is way to sheer to be used alone. It is great for dry skin tho because it is so extremely moisturizing. While cover girl is very very very dry and can get cakey but I thought I should mix it and maybe they would complement each other. And it was a match made in heaven. The perfect mixture for DRY SKIN:) While giving you the coverage and the moisture all in 1. Perfection! I already had both and it would have been a waste of money if I didn't mix them together since alone neither works on my skin or for the reasons I wanted.
This was just my experience but I do recommend to try to mix things that you already own and maybe dislike and you might end up turning it into an amazing combo! OR you can even mix it with your regular lotion so make it more moisturizing. Play with what you have and what your needs are!.
I bought this foundation for days that I need fuller coverage, but I've been using it everyday because I love it so much! I have very oily skin, with a lot of scaring and also dark undereye circles. This foundation covers it all. I use it with primer and a small stippling brush. I found that that brush creates the lightest, most even finish that provides a lot of coverage. It's very matte, and stays on my oily skin for the entire day. I still have to blot 1-2 times a day, but that's to be expected. I would say avoid using a sponge to apply, because when I did it came off too heavy but also with minimal coverage. Foundation brushes left it a little bit streaky, but fingers did well enough. Overall, one of the best drugstore foundations I've tried, will be buying again.
I purchased this product because I had CVS Extrabucks. I did not expect the product to be useful to me. I had not found a Cover Girl foundation that had worked for me, until now. The packaging was plain. It has a smooth texture and felt good on my skin. It did not have the overwhelming smell that Cover Girl sometimes has. I used a foundation brush to put it on. It went on smooth with medium coverage. The color I chose blended perfectly with my skin. I have oily skin, so I did not expect the makeup to hold up all day but it did. I did not have to touch up or "do something about that shine". I liked it so much, I have gone back and purchased another bottle for a backup.
I read all the rad reviews on here about how it's a good full coverage and it really does conceal blemishes etc. I went and bought today thinking it would be perfect. I put it on looked cakey especially under my eyes, my forehead and cheeks. I wanted this to work I tried thinning it out and everything it still looked cakey. It also did not covet my dark under eyes it semi covered up my blemishes and looked alright. Everything oxides on my skin badly this didn't however but I did get the lightest shade 805. I didn't find this foundation "full coverage" I don't know weather I didn't use enough or what to me it was medium with a light feel to it, you don't feel like you are wearing make up this product is pretty good about the same as the rimmel match perfection foundation I would stick to mine but the lightest shade 100 ivory is too dark for me. But it's about the same. The product isn't too badly priced I payed $25 for mine. It does stick to dry spots!!!! I think I would buy it again it does have a nice feel a no make up feel but it is irritating my eyes mainly my right and so it keeps watering. But it is an alright foundation.
This is a very mate foundation. It will leave you mate for about 4 to 6 hours. Just watch this has a powder finish so you only want to apply were you know you will get really oily. It really good for oily skin but I don't know about dry skin because it might highlight dry spots that you don't want highlight. This foundation gets an A for me
I am very very pale in skin and I was reading other reivews and tutorials and I finally decided to buy it but when I went to the store the lightest color they make was waaaay to dark for me so I would suggest to expand on the colors becase I was really looking forward to using it :(
Very nice foundation, especially love the finish. Unfortunately after couple of hours it gets oily in my T zone, but that doesn't bother me too much. Im in NW20 and ivory 805 is perfect for me. I read the reviews and a lot of women say that it oxidize on them, thats why i got lighter shade and seems that is a good match. Got it for 9$ at Target not too bad.
After reading very good reviews about this foundation, I wanted it to work badly... Unfortunately this was a total disaster to my face. A couple of weeks after I started using this foundation my face started to breakout, I felt It was high school all over again. It wasn't just regular pimples but painful cysts around my jawline, sideburns and forehead and few on my cheeks. Although it had very good coverage and it stays on for a long time. The color I chose wasn't exactly my match, I'm slightly tanned and its hard to find the right shade. They didnt have that many options. I have acne prone and very oily skin. Should've learned my lesson with Cover Girl, I had a bad experience in the past about a few years ago with one of the foundations and it ruined my face forever. Will never buy covergirl foundation ever!
I'm not a fan of this product. I usually stick with a light to medium coverage foundation with a natural finish. This is full coverage foundation for sure and I didn't think it looked very natural. My skin is pretty dry, so finding a foundation that doesn't look too heavy can be hard. I applied this with a beauty blender and it didn't help soften the appearance of this foundation. I had a difficult time finding a shade that would match, and while CG claims to be able to make a match from their site, this isnt true. They have a very limited number of matches/dupes. If you are looking for an inexpensive full coverage foundation, than this is your product.
I personally had mixed feelings about this product, for the following pros and cons.
* It has amazing staying power, it last all day!
* The coverage is really good, I don't have to apply any concealer.
* The colour range is terrible, none of them match my skin tone
* It is drying and clings to dry patches and hair folicles
* It feels gross on my skin
* It does not have the primer power it claims to have, it settles into my pores.
* The smell is awful
Overall, i would not buy this again and will only wear it when I absolutely feel like I need it, which isn't often.
