I love the product but hate the packaging. I took 2 lippies off as i think that if you pay for the product you should be able to get it out of the packaging. Its my favourite shadow primer but i wouldnt repuirchase due to the crappy packaging! If they changed the bottle (cute as it is) more people would repurchase. Although it really works for me, im trying others to see if they compare solely due to the packaging problems here:(

This is the first time I've tried this product and it holds your eyeshadow in place for a really long time. It lasted about 12 hours before I noticed my eyeshadow fading slightly but it wasn't too noticable. I have tried other primers such a Loreal Decrease which only lasted about 6 hrs at the most. Overall this is the best eye base/primer I've ever used!!

Without this, I would never wear eyeshadow. I have oily skin, and my eyeshadow typically lasts a few hours. Since I only wear full makeup when I go out, I'd "party" away my eyeshadow within an hour. I first encountered this stuff when I was at a Sephora at South Beach in Miami (10x more hot and humid than my hometown). Someone who worked there did my makeup, everything, around 2 in the afternoon. My eyeshadow was the only thing to last till I watched the sun rise at 5 in the morning. : ) Since I don't wear eyeshadow everyday, this lasts a long time for me, so it's definitely worth the price.
I really like this primer. I like this especially because I have peachier-pink tones to my complexion. I tried Shadow Insurance, but it has a more yellowish tint to it, so the UDPP matches my skin better.
HOWEVER, they could really take a lesson from Shadow Insurance's packaging. UDPP is a b!tch to get out of the darn container. I also do not like the slanted applicator...
Overall: A-
Whoa Dang. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this product yet. I love my UDPP. It's like magic in a terribly-shaped tube! I can wear shadow for well over 8 hours with very little fade and absolutely no creasing whatsoever.
Like everyone else in the world, I hate the packaging (even with the new and improved wand... big deal UD! Don't insult our intelligence, please).
I have lids that start out dry and get oily throughout the day. This does a nice job of keeping the oilies at bay. However, since the weather has gotten cooler and dryer here in Texas, my skin has decided to freak out and get all dry and chapped. I'm afraid this might soon become too drying for my eyelids.
I use this quite often. However, I do find that I like Two-Faced Shadow Insurance just as much but for different reasons. TFSI is a thinner formula, is in a squeezy tube, and is less drying. I also like the use my MAC paint pots as bases. I find my shadows blend much more easily with paint pots than with either UDPP or TFSI. However, with paint pots, I will crease at the end of a very long day. If I want stay-put-like-it's-tattooed-on eye shadow, I use UDPP then MAC paint pot then eye shadow. That stuff will go nowhere!
I finally broke down and shelled out the money for this one, even though I hadn't tried it prior to purchasing. I had read so many good reviews about this product, and my current eyeshadow primer wasn't doing squat, so I had hoped this would work for me.
Pro:
- Color really blends in to my fair/light skin (although they do claim it should match "every" skintone).
- Takes only seconds to dry on lids
- Eyeshadow blends easily over primer
- I'm able to salvage low-priced or inferior eyeshadows with this base
- no offending fragrance
- doesn't crack or crumble off
- eyeshadow stays put 12+ hours
- FINALLY a product that's actually crease-proof for me
- doesn't take much product to do the job (so I can justify the initial cost)
- no animal testing
Con:
- weird packaging doesn't make sense, and I'll have to cut into the sides to the product out later on
- initially the price and lack of sample availability put me off
- a tube would be a much better package method for this product; it can be unsanitary if you use the wand directly on the lids (I wash my hands first, then touch the wand to my finger, and then use my finger to apply on my lids).
Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and I would recommend this product. For me, this product does what it claims to do; I just wish they would improve the packaging.
Bought my first bottle during the summer and still have product left for the fall.
Keeps my eye shadows vibrant and smudge proof.
My only complaint is the stupid packaging it comes in. I'm going to eventually have to butcher the packaging to get more product out of it.

This is some heavy duty stuff. Definitely does its job in preventing eyeshadow smudgery, but is really drying on my poor lids. Plus the packaging is wack.
Have since converted to TFSI + MAC Paint Pots
Okay, I bought this on ebay a few weeks ago because I'd heard tons of good things about it. I figured it was probably a great product because my other urban decay products are amazing. Well, it is amazing. This stuff does exactly what it's supposed to do: it keeps my make up from creasing and it makes my eyeshadow brighter and more vibrant. I can't go without it. The only downside is that the first day I bought this I accidently dropped it on my hard floors at home and the bottom chipped off. I taped the bottom up, so I saved myself another 20 dollars. You would think that they would make the packaging more durable, but they didn't. Oh well, I will still be buying this again.
