This mascara is actually really good. I felt it gave me length and volume. The problem? The wand. I know it is a dupe for the Diorshow but, I really disliked the design of the wand. It is a circular wand which, I thought would be a great design. And I think it would be if the bristles went all the way around the ball-like end. Instead, the tip is left bristle-less resulting in a dollop of product that you must be careful not to get near your lashes or...clump city. The product also clumps where the wand meets the extender. This design flaw is huge because, the whole point of this design is to get product in hard-to-reach places like the inner corner. But, with clumpy product on both ends, it is virtually impossible to evenly coat lashes.
I loved the idea of the wand for this product, but it was nothing special as far as placement. The mascara DID make my lashes longer and darker, but it had horrible clumps. I tried multiple times to apply, hoping practice would prevent the clumping, but to no avail. I finally passed it on to my 15 year old daughter and she had the same problem. Her lashes are long and lush by themselves, and the mascara looked the same on her - clumpy and gloppy.
First off I will say that with this wand you really have to practice with it to avoid clumps. It's not a typical mascara wand, i guess the best way to describe it is a very short comb, so beware if you have short lashes this probably isn't for you. I start at the base of my lashes and make a zig-zag motion to the top. It does provide good length but doesn't do much for volume. It doesn't smear or flake either. I think this would work good over a volumizing mascara, but on its own it doesn't provide enough volume for me because I love fake-looking eyelashes. It's on the pricey side for drugstore mascara's too. I don't hate it so I will use it up but I wouldn't buy again. I'll be sticking to maybelline's mascaras becuase they are cheaper and better quality.
right now this is my mascara of choice. i am continuously on the hunt for the PERFECT mascara. as far as perfection, this isnt it but its pretty good for the price. ive used dior black out and dior show as well as benefit bad gal and lancome' etc. for the price, i think this outperforms the more expensive mascaras. i think it could do more lengthening since thats what its for, and the volume really isnt there unless i layer it 3+ times. i usually save that for going out. i do have to say though since using the loreal lash serum with this mascara i have seen a dramatic length difference over the past 2 weeks that i am quite enjoying.
This is my HG mascara at the moment!!! It gives me length, separation, and slight volume. My lashes are a little longer than average length and they're pretty thick on their own. I love that it's dark pigment and it really enhances my eye color (brown with a reddish undertone). I try to buy it on special @ a drug store or at Bed, Bath, and Beyond with a 20% coupon.
Love, Love love this mascara, In my opinion this is probably best for people with small lid space mainly because of it's such small wand and for people who have got that pet peeve of having mascara residue on their lids - this is a godsend!, It lengthens the lashes and does not clump at all, this mascara has got some serious game!
Overall great drugstore mascara for people who have tiny lashes, (like me!) lengthens and volumizes Loves it!!
favorite drug store mascara! the small rubber-like wand may take some getting used to if you're only used to standard brushes, but you will love the results!
It took me a little while to get the hang of applying this. It has a plastic wand with four rows of bristles, but the bristles themselves don't hold any product so you don't get very far by positioning the wand so that only the bristles catch the lashes. Instead, you need to apply the mascara using the flat part of the brush and use the bristle parts to separate - at least that's what I've found.
This adds a very impressive amount of length and is a very true black. It doesn't add much volume, but adds a bit more oomph than other lengthening mascaras I've tried. I haven't noticed any smudging or flaking, and, for a non-waterproof mascara, I find this holds a curl pretty well. The packaging is so cute too, they've made it look like a little telescope! My only complaint is that it adds slightly less volume than I'd like and also that it's priced pretty high for a drugstore mascara. Otherwise this is a great product and well worth trying.
This is one of my favorite mascaras. I have very sparse lashes and this one really gives mine a nice length, in addition to some volume despite it not being a volumizing mascara. I have also tried the clean definition version of Telescopic, and did not like it nearly as much. The slim wand took some getting used to, but now I find it much easier to coat my lashes than I ever did with the thicker wands. This is a keeper for sure.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara! I have used so many different brands and types of mascaras and this is the best one for dramatic long dark lashes. I love the plastic brush and I don't have any problems with clumping. It is definitely not a natural look, pretty dramatic so it's perfect for my casino job =)
