Pros:
I really like that the "very black" is actually BLACK. A lot of drug store mascaras claim to be black, but are more like grey! And I like my mascara really dark. It also separates them well.
Cons:
It can be messy and it has a tendency to flake.
Doesn't clump too much and gives nice volume, but doesn't do much for length. I don't like the boring wand..I wish the bristles were longer so they would separate lashes better. It's good for volume though.
i accendentally gotten this mascara in so called "black-brown", but i have black hair and it makes my lashes look kind of weird. the brown is not even brown but this dark red and it makes me kind of mad since it was advertised as dark brown. i also gotten this in waterprrof and trust me, this stuff does NOT come off. it even clumped a little when the promise is that it will not clump
*sigh* i guess i have to continue my mascara quest.
Great stuff! I caught a deal on a twin-pack, so I'll be using it for quite a while. I'm ok with that! I think this formula is a little thicker than the regular Lash Exact... which to be honest I think I like a little better. This one just seems to clump a teeny bit whereas the Lash Exact was absolutely perfect. So I'll probably switch back when I finish up these tubes, but it is still a really good mascara.
I had tried the waterproof version of this, and it is pretty good. However, I got sick of trying for 20 minutes to remove that mascara every night, so I bought the non WP version. I actually really like the way this makes my lashes look. It lengthens and thickens and just one coat gives me exactly the look I like in mascara! When I bought this, however, I had forgotton my reasons for wearing a WP mascara everyday. I have some allergies, and also my eyes water if I go out into the sun. Add this to the humidity of living in South Florida, and you have a recipe for disaster! So although this looks great, this non-WP version just doesn't work for me. I will continue to use this up but won't be buying another non-waterproof mascara in any brand. continued >>
I alternate between this product and Lash Exact, and find that while LE works nicely for everyday, this is great for adding a bit more drama. The extra volume is nice, and I don't miss much in length. I do find that I have to be careful in applying it... it can clump or smear if I'm not watching the amount on the wand. Still, even my boyfriend got excited about the look of my lashes when I used it!
Considering that I replace my mascara every three months and never get even close to finishing it, I can't justify buying department store mascara. For a drugstore brand, this mascara works amazingly; I love the brush. I get lots of compliments on my lashes. I would definitely recommend it.
so the first time I tried this, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. It curled, separated and volumized my lashed like nothing else. I used it for a few more days with the same results- but after a week or so the brush wasnt working the same way- way too much mascara was being deposited on the wand. I guess the rubbery bristles work at first then become oversaturated with the mascara like so many others out there. SO disappointed. Back to Voluminous for me!
I didn't like this mascara when i first bought it, but i just gave it another shot, after my current favorite, Lancome Coubre Virtuose, ran out. I have to admit, i really like it now. It lenghthens and seems to hold a curl really well. I do have to give it quite a few coats to get the desired volume, but since it there's no clump, i don't mind running the wand over my lashes multiple times. This works better on my lashes than most other expensive stuff that i've tried (i.e Diorshow, Last Injection..)...definitely becoming one of my favorites now, will buy this again
I tried lash exact, and I loved it, but it was a bit too clumpy. I tried Diorshow, which was definitely not worth the price for the bad results I got. I saw that Volume Exact was similar to Lash Exact, but the rubbery bristles are longer. I purchased a few days ago, and as long as it is applied carefully, it works wonderfully. No flaking whatsoever, and no clumping when I apply carefully.
