A sheer natural finish. Left my skin slightly oilier when used alone. I used Ettusais Day Amulet powder lightly on top and it took care of the shine. It's a very nice finishing powder and can be used alone (I did before I started using EM). Didn't cause breakouts. Very very reasonable price. Will definitely purchase again!

This is a really great compromise between the intensive and the original glo. I actually mix it with the semi-matte (fair neutral matte and fair semi-matte) and get a perfect finish. Buff in just a little bit (from the jaw/hairline towards the nose), apply concealer to small areas that need it, finish with silk dust and you're set for the whole day!

This has many good sides and also many not soo good. First the company is great ! The products are natural. Cheap, many colors and fomulas to choose from. The matte goes on matte, only with a natural glow that is ok. Controls oil and shine longer that youngblood and abslolute better than BE. You start to shine after a few hours, but not as bad as past MMU I tried. The cool medium is also a nice color for me. The color don't change so much, at afternoon the color is a bit darker then first but nothing bad. One oter thing that I like with this formula ( also the intense formula) is that it doesn't feel so dry or dry out my face as for expample younbllod easly does, speciallt in winter. A bit dry does it feel at first but not that bad.
Then the bad stuff. Bad coverge, don't cover at all. I use a good brush that give a better coverge, but I have to use a separate concealer.I tried the intesive but to shiny. All EM are also dusty, but that you learn to live with. The jar isn't my favorite, all the foundations, powders, concealers look the same.... Also when I tip some powder in the lid most go on the floor.
So this is a has many good sides and bad sides like all products. Overall, I do like this, but I miss the coverage that I get from youngblood so I going back to to that. If I have to choose between coverage and and less shine a take the coverage, and use a compactpowder to reduce the YB shine.
All you with normal-oily skintypes that hasn't much to cover up and want something sheer. Then this is it!
Update! To get better coverage I have started to mix this with the intense formula (½ +½), The result is matte, but with better coverage. I also finish of with the tinted silk powder and the natural bronzer, and i have to say I'm impressed with the result. Ok coverage, controls the oiliness ok, and also I don't get the shine before lunch, with is twice as long than before. Best of all, my face doesn't feel that overdry.
Update: stop using this because it doesn't do anything for me anymore. Works like a powder but that's it... Changing from a 4 to a 2

Like all of EM:s foundations this has great quality, still it's the one of their four foundation formulas that I like the least. I much more prefer semi-matte and original glo for everyday wear and the intense formula for nighttime. Matte gives a nice matte finish but is not really that covering. Sometimes this tends to make my skin look a bit dry, which is not the case with the other formulas.

I have fallen in love with Everyday Minerals.

I have a HUUUGE sephora store nearby, where I jumped in one day to try out bare escentuals. I've seen the infamous infomercial, but wasn't about to pay 60 bucks for something I wasn't sure about. I'm so fair, its hard to match my skin tone, and I already have plenty of bottles and pots of foundation that didn't match me. ANYHOW, when I went into the sephora store, I tried bare escentuals and was revulsed. Even the professional worker couldn't get it to work on me. It was too dark, too streaky, too....everything.

So Ive also tried Physicians Formula minerals. which were okay for the price, but chalky and hard to blend.

Then I stumbled across Everyday Minerals. First off, I LOVE that you can get a free kit --- that is exactly what I, as someone struggling hard to match a very light color, really needed.

But it was far more than just color matching. This stuff looks FANTASTIC on me. I've always gotten compliments here and there on my skin, but now I'm getting stopped on the street by perfect strangers and being asked what I use! I'm more than happy to point them towards Everyday Minerals.

My only complaint is the packaging could really be better. Even though they now have sifters installed in all products, its still a messy, and I always feel as though I'm wasting the product. No matter how carefully I put the lid on, some spills when I open it up again.

the first time I've ever used a mineral foundation, and the result is great! I ordered medium beige neutral, and the colour is my match (thank god!). i use very little, and my face seems to look much better, i just want to touch my face all the time. The coverage is not much, but i like it, i like the natural look of my face (of course it can't cover my blemish scars).
oil control is ok, but it's natural to get a bit oily in my tropical country
package is a round plastic box, with shifter. the first time you open it, there were a sticker to prevent leaking. but after that, it's hard to carry the box around without them messing all around. i recently find a way to prevent, using some cotton ball, it's better

I've tried BE in the past [what a waste of money!] but it made my face itch and burn every time it got hot, or if i was working out or even when I blushed! EDM does NOT do that! The free sample kits provide very generous amounts and I found my color on the first try! Well, actually, colors. It turns out that both Olive Medium & Sandy Medium match me! My face is an oil slick and the matte formulation does a superb job in keeping the shininess at bay. Smashbox Primer goes under my foundation and Mineral Veil from BE goes on top for even more matte-ness. I still have some liquid foundation that I feel bad not using up, but I can't go back to liquids anymore! It feels like I have no makeup on at all!! Total convert. continued >>

UPDATE 3/24: Well, I've been using this makeup for about 4 months now, and I am slowly changing my mind about it.
-First off, it makes me REALLY greasy! It seems kind of counterintuitive, since it's a powder and should make me less greasy, but no matter what moisturizer I use (even if I go without!), I'm really oily within an hour of putting the powder on. Within two, my makeup is gone and my face is high-shine. It's bad.
-Second, I really think this stuff is actually responsible for my skin being crappy. I think the fact that it makes it really oily is also causing a constant breakout (deep cystic pimples in addition to little superficial ones). When I stopped using this powder foundation, within 5 days, my skin was getting better and noticeably clearing up.
-All of the formulas look really fake and cakey on me, no matter how much I buff - they also highlight any imperfections and textural problems.

I wish I could like this, I really do. But unfortunately, it's just not for me. I like the fact that it doesn't have all the chemical additives (parabens, oils, etc) but it really is making my skin worse, so I guess I'd rather go back to the chemicals than stick with this!

**EDIT** (I'm going to delete my old review because this is getting way too long!) Well, despite multiple rounds of shipping woes, I've finally got my full sized products and I am changing my review ratings for this stuff!

I think this is some of the BEST makeup I've ever used - as someone with acne-prone skin, I commonly have bumps, lumps and "owies" (from where I can't help but pick! ;) ) that I have to cover up on a daily basis.

The mineral foundation (I've tried both the intensive and the matte, and a blend of the two, which I like best!) is wonderful!

I custom blend my own shade out of two different shades off the website - however, you can pretty much order any shade within the ballpark off the website and feel pretty assured that it will blend in and match pretty well. I find that the key is really buffing it into your skin (helps avoid the chalky, powdery look) really makes a huge difference.

The coverage is fantastic! I can easily cover up all my blemishes and problem areas but I don't need to use a lot of makeup to do so, which is great. My skin feels like it can breathe, which makes me feel better!

I also think the silk dust is fantastic - I know some reviewers have mentioned that it feels gritty or that it leaves a chalky look to their faces, but I don't notice that at all. Maybe EM revised their formula, but all I know is that the silk dust is a winner - it's the perfect way to finish off your makeup!!

The gifts and promotions offered are AWESOME - this is a really generous company. Most of their free gifts are full-sized versions (not just sample sizes, although those are generous as well!). Additionally, I know there have been some comments about the brushes - they have redone their brushes - although I was a fan of the baby kabuki when they had it and never experienced any problems, their new brushes are an absolute DREAM! Try the long-handled kabuki, the bristles are absolutely amazing and soft!

The one concern about this makeup is that it can be a bit messy. We have to wash our bathroom sink and vanity a lot more often now because the excess dust and powder gather on there and get scummy but it's well worth it!!

Honestly, I can't think of any really bad elements of this makeup!

O.K. So I gave up trying to replace my beloved colorstay (orignal formula) long wearing foundation. Truth be told it was starting to look like a mask anyway. Then when all my wedding pictures had to be digitally enhanced to make my DH's lips black again(He is African-American), from kissing me at our wedding, I knew something had to be done about my foundation woes. I had tried both BE and sheer cover in the past. Both were too sparkly/shimmery for me. So I decided to try EM on the reviews here. I apply mine with a flocked sponge applicator. I tried a plethora of samples first---I'm not exaggerating here, really the company is very tolerant of mutiple samplings. Finally decided on Beige neutral. I seem to use very little. It covers great to me, and lasts all day (and I work into the late night hours) I have/had acne prone skin, but this has seemed to actually improve my skin. 12.00 for a large jar is cheaper than a bottle of foundation. Give it a try. Use the sponge if you need more coverage. I am too un-coordinated for brushes!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO GOOEY LIQUIDS.

didnt try it long enough. used once. oil control seems better than the others. less shimmery than original glow and semi matte too. coverage is better than the 2 but not as good as intensive's.
