I'm very pale with olive undertones and usually wear light colored lipstick but this color is about one shade darker than my concealer. It looks thick and uneven and really just looks like I used concealer on my lips (Next to my paper white skin it looks like bobby browns peach corrector). I'm hoping i have more luck with Modesty.
I really like this lipstick. It's a pinky beige with a slight hint of peach to my eyes. The colour is very flattering on my NC40-42 skintone....I think it'll look nice on medium toned girls in particular.
A downside is - despite the cremesheen formula, it shows up every damn crack in my lips, even if my lips don't feel dry or look dry before applying it. It's crazy! Exfoliation and a good lip balm are essential for me with this lipstick. The formula itself...I'm not quite fond of it. I wish it was a satin finish, so it'd be less shiny. I think it'd be MUCH more flattering. But oh well.
It's quite sheer so it doesn't give you a heavy, cakey opaque colour on your lips when applied. I don't swipe this on, I dab it on. Don't think I could pull it off when swiped on TBH. It doesn't last very long either, because of the formula, but I don't mind touching up throughout the day. Put ontop of a tiny bit of Myth lipstick, the colour lasts longer.
I'd repurchase this as it flatters my skintone very well and goes great with either a smokey eye, lots of eyeliner, or thick jet black lashes. Not a lipstick I'd wear when I'm going for a natural look though. Wish I could give it a 3.5 instead of 4 lippies cuz of the crappy formula.
Omg!!! I have been looking for a nude color that would go with me. I'm Latina, but with pale skin. This realy gave me a nude look I wear the creme d nude, then mac c-thru lipglass!! It looks great! This would go great for Latinas. I will buy again and again. I also recommend mac underage it looks great!
Where has Creme d'Nude been all my life! Myth was my HG lipstick in terms of color--perfect beige lipstick with a touch of pink. But then I bought Creme d'Nude, which on me (NC25-30) is similar in color to Myth, but a bit more pink.
Even though Myth and Creme d'Nude are similar in color, I prefer the texture and application of the Cremesheens. Myth is a satin l/s, which I found dry and difficult to apply. I always had to pat it on, whereas with the cremesheens, which are very creamy, I can just swipe them on my lips. The cremesheens are similar to the glazes, but offer more color payoff.
I also like to pair Creme d'Nude with either Slicked Pink Lipgelee or Dior's Ultra l/g in Jersey Pink (both l/g work really well with Myth too!).
If you're choosing between Myth and Creme d'Nude, I would go with the later because they are both similar in color but Creme d'Nude has better texture and application.
I love this lipstick. I am Filipino, and this looks good on my fair-medium skin tone. Most of my “nude” lipsticks do not look nude when I apply them on my lips. I usually use concealer so I get the true color of the lipstick. Crème D’ Nude eliminates the use of concealer.
I will definitely purchase this product again!
my favourite ever nude lipstick, i think it is a must have and the texture is just amazing!! it is 3.5 grams, and will last quite long.. i cannot rave about it enough.. go out and get it:)))
A great nude color. I love the Cremesheen textures the best. They are more sheer in color payoff, but have a built in gloss, and are slightly hydrating. They glide on lips beautifully, and have a wonderful finish.
I just bought this lipstick and I love it. I find that it looks better if your lips have been moisturized but since that is part of my getting ready routine, its no problem. I would def purchase this product again after I am through with it.
I really like this product however I do find that when my lips get dry it emphasizes the creases, paired with a sheer lip gloss this often goes away. Overall I would purchase it again but i plan on trying myth, which i am told is a similar shade, as well.
this lipstick just wasn't for me. In the tube its looks like a gorgeous nude shade but when I applied in it went on rather streaky and too shiny, I looked like I had pornstar lips. I also found it wasn't very pigmented, it's quite sheer. I think this lippie isnt for people such as myself with naturally dark lips.
