I loved, loved this product. I got it as a sample and when i tried it i was hooked. I used it for about 9 months and i loved how it felt on my skin, because it was like a daily gentle exfoliating wash. My skin got used to it after the 9 months, so the effects were not as impressive, but still pretty good. Right now i am taking a break from it, because i am college student and budget is limited, but it's been tough trying to find something that works as well as this philosophy product. I will probably buy it again as soon as i get a summer job.
I have been using this daily for the last several months and it has performed amazingly well. Non drying, face doesn't feel tight after a shower, removes makeup, I use something else for the eye area. I will continue to use unless something else gives me better results.
I have really sensitive skin and this is the first scrub I've ever owned that #1 actually works and #2 doesn't make my skin raw or break out. You can actually feel it working and after you wash it off you have baby soft skin. I bought it with the microdelivery exfoliating pads and it gives you an extra boost of soft skin power.
I use the Scrub every other day but it's gentle enough for everyday use.
I use the pads once a week because they really exfoliate a lot. The pads could probably be used 2-3 times a week by most skin types though.
the beads are very fine, almost not even beads, more like really fine sand and they even more disappear and you rub on the face. i use this in the AM in the shower, do my face, neck and chest with my hands. no fragrance, feels gentle. i like this better than the purity made simple which i think is blah. i can't say that it has worked amazing wonders on my skin, i've been using it for about 2 months now. nothing bad, nothing super amazing success story. kind of expensive, will probably buy again until i find something better and/or cheaper.
I love that the beads are so small, it makes me feel like they are doing a better job. I don't think it's a good idea to use this everyday though. I use it maybe 3 times a week and it's fine.
Whoa! I love this stuff! I am normally a great advocate of a rough, gritty scrub--it has always been my preference. That said, I also like dermalogica's microfoliant, which is also really soft...but this product from philosophy has totally converted me from gritty scrubs probably forever. I really feel like it is scrubbing my oily, nasty skin as well as the grittiest scrub available, but that it is doing a better job. The scrubbies are very fine, but I can feel them working, and I can feel the difference in my skin each time I use it. I feel clean and scrubbed and fresh. Glorious, glorious stuff. I don't think I'll ever go back to a gritty scrub again.
I was looking for a cleanser I could use in the shower that would not only cleanse, but exfoliate, and after reading the reviews here I bought this. And I LOVE it! I can totally feel the difference in my skin after using it -- the first time I used it, I made my boyfriend pet my face several times to see how soft it was :) This is helping immeasurably with my flaky winter skin, and it isn't uncomfortable to use at all, like a lot of other exfoliators I have tried. The smell is not great, but not bad either; so worth it for the effect.
I really like this as far as scrubs go. It does a great job of exfoliation without making my skin irritated or raw, and it's especially great in the morning. It leaves my skin noticably smoother when I do use it. It's good to use scrub gloves with this though, just because the skin on your fingers can start feeling strange.
I wanted a good exfoliating wash for everyday and unfortunately, this wasn't it. My sensitive, acne-prone skin broke out after I started using this and cleared up once I stopped. I liked the texture of this cleanser but it didn't leave me with a "fresh skin" feel. Too bad. Very pricey for nothing.
This is a great exfoliator! The beads are noticeably smaller than any other exfoliator I have tried, which makes it much more gentle on my sensitive skin. I have skin that turns red from almost anything (wind, cold, heat, laying on it, etc) and this doesn't irritate me like other exfoliators do. It leaves my face feeling soft and smooth like baby's skin. I got this as a deluxe sample from Sephora, and I will probably be buying it after I run out - the only thing holding me back is that it is pretty pricey for an exfoliator, but since I only use it one a week, it would last forever.
