This is my first review and I'm dedicating it to this product because it has literally saved my face from gigantic pimples appearing now and then. For reference, I have combination skin that breaks out every other month but when it does, it is monumentally huge and painful. I usually stay away from products that contain salicylic acid (like clean & clear's persa gel) since they irritate and peel my skin away. However, this product has been incredibly gentle with my skin (I use it every morning in the shower) and I honestly notice pimples appearing less often, in a smaller size and leaving much sooner. So amazing! This has worked wonders for me and I hope it does so for you. I can't complain about the price since I've tried so many more expensive alternatives (even prescriptions) and nothing has worked as well, for 5-6 bucks I think there's not much to risk. The packaging is not particularly pretty but I really like it that I can squeeze the product out. I tried traveling with this on a 9 hr flight and it never popped or let any product out. Overall, a good product to try, and it's parabens free!!
I have oily skin and need to use a scrub. I have to say I am very pleased with this scrub it is gentle and it left my T- zone feeling smooth like after using a biore pore strip but even better because it actually got everything out :)
i love this scrub!! i have been looking for a good one for a while and i am in love i have tried high end and drugstore, but this is it for me. I only use it in the morning and i let it dry for about 6 minutes, i have not had blackheads since and i use to get them like crazy on chin and nose. I have super sensitive acne prone skin i love it. At night i just wash with cetaphil and clarisonic and apply 2.5 BP with my night cream i love my skin finally after 27 years =)
This is the most pleasant scrub I've ever used. I like the fruity/green tea scent. The texture is very soft, almost spongy. The exfoliating granules are very fine. It almost feels like rubbing a piece of velvet on your skin. I don't use this every day. Usually once a week when I feel like I need a bit of extra smoothing. Afterwards my skin is soft and smooth and not red and irritated. Very nice. I would repurchase.
Disappointed :( I was so excited to caught it on sale at Rite Aide for $3.49 only to find out that it makes me break out. It's weird because I've been using the St. Ives green tea cleanser and am fine with it. It's not like it's helping my pimples either, but at least it's not breaking me out. I guess it's just not for my skin.
well, it's ok. it's a lot smoother and gentler than the apricot scrub, but it only has 1% salicylic acid. i tried using this and it didn't cause me to break out, but it certainly wasn't strong enough to prevent it or cure it. it smells great though...i've gone back to the apricot scrub because it just works so much better for me. as for the redness, it does help, but only a little bit.
I love, love, love this. I use this every morning and it really gives me that fresh feeling plus it wakes me up a bit. I actually like the smell.
I have combo skin so while it's great for my t zone, it can leave some other areas feeling a bit dry. That's okay for me though since I always use ponds dry skin cream after cleansing my face anyway. I'm a fan for life. I may even check out the other st. ives scrubs. ;)
I have been using this scrub for about a month now and I use it every day. The scent took some getting used to, it's a bit floraly - but I have to say my skin is nice and smooth, it helps with my redness (I'm prone to rosacea and flushed skin in the heat) and overall my face feels very "clean". I would definitely buy this again!
This broke me out with cystic and whiteheads. I used it twice a week for a month. It is also very drying.
Just bought this 2 days ago, on a whim. I bought the travel size (tiny, just to try it out) for $0.97 at Target. So far, I've used it twice, in the morning and at night tonight. This morning, I used it as a regular facial wash, and my skin didn't really feel any different. I'm writing this right after I washed it off tonight. I left it on for about 5 minutes as a mask (as i've done with the apricot scrub).. I used it as a follow up to my Burts Bees cleanser (I don't feel like that cleans well enough, but i'm spending the night at a friend's house and it's the first one I grabbed.) The smell is amazing, much like my green tea frappachino from starbucks :) and it feels really foamy and nice to the touch, the exfoliating beads are so so so so fine. I will say that even though I rinsed off my face REALLY well, there are still little, LITTLE beads on my forehead. I put on my Clinique DDM and now my skin feels good. It doesn't feel as good as I've felt it before, but pretty smooth. I have acne-prone skin, so we'll see how it turns out. I'll update this in about a week. For now I put I'll repurchase just because I LOVE the smell, and I can always use another mask.
