This paraben free, nutrient infused facial scrub is out of this world! The smell is invigorating and clean. The micro-scrubbers are very fine and gentle enough to use every day unlike the Apricot Scrub. It really does seem to refine my pores and clean them out thoroughly while the nourishing green tea, antioxidants work to protect the skin against free radicals which we all know, ages the skin. The price is outstanding, as are all St. Ives products and the quality is what I'm used to from the company. I use it with the steam in my shower and when I pat dry, my skin is supple and soft as a baby's bottom! Fantastic!

I'm disappointed with this. I bought it with the Green Tea Cleanser and have been using them both for about two months now, with no results. I use this to remove my make-up at night, and then wash my face with the Green Tea Cleanser. It's too gentle to truly exfoliate, and it doesn't do too great a job of removing my make-up (I use my wet fingertips to massage this into my skin in circular motions, concentrating on each area of my face for 10-20 seconds, yet some make-up still comes off on the cotton ball when I apply my toner after using the cleanser). Also, while I'm not breaking out as badly as I was before using this system, I am getting more blackheads and tiny bumps under my skin, which I don't appreciate. I won't be buying this again.
PROS: Soft, natural, wonderful scent. Quite inexpensive.
CONS: I broke out more from this.
I love love love this product. I cleanse my face first with the St.Ives Green Tea gel cleanser and then use this as an exfoliant. I love the granules in this cleanser because they are fine yet there is a lot of them so it really feels like it is giving you a great exfoliation. It leaves my face feeling baby smooth, fresh and polished. This is worth your money and a great product.
This is my first review and I'm dedicating it to this product because it has literally saved my face from gigantic pimples appearing now and then. For reference, I have combination skin that breaks out every other month but when it does, it is monumentally huge and painful. I usually stay away from products that contain salicylic acid (like clean & clear's persa gel) since they irritate and peel my skin away. However, this product has been incredibly gentle with my skin (I use it every morning in the shower) and I honestly notice pimples appearing less often, in a smaller size and leaving much sooner. So amazing! This has worked wonders for me and I hope it does so for you. I can't complain about the price since I've tried so many more expensive alternatives (even prescriptions) and nothing has worked as well, for 5-6 bucks I think there's not much to risk. The packaging is not particularly pretty but I really like it that I can squeeze the product out. I tried traveling with this on a 9 hr flight and it never popped or let any product out. Overall, a good product to try, and it's parabens free!!
I have oily skin and need to use a scrub. I have to say I am very pleased with this scrub it is gentle and it left my T- zone feeling smooth like after using a biore pore strip but even better because it actually got everything out :)
i love this scrub!! i have been looking for a good one for a while and i am in love i have tried high end and drugstore, but this is it for me. I only use it in the morning and i let it dry for about 6 minutes, i have not had blackheads since and i use to get them like crazy on chin and nose. I have super sensitive acne prone skin i love it. At night i just wash with cetaphil and clarisonic and apply 2.5 BP with my night cream i love my skin finally after 27 years =)
This is the most pleasant scrub I've ever used. I like the fruity/green tea scent. The texture is very soft, almost spongy. The exfoliating granules are very fine. It almost feels like rubbing a piece of velvet on your skin. I don't use this every day. Usually once a week when I feel like I need a bit of extra smoothing. Afterwards my skin is soft and smooth and not red and irritated. Very nice. I would repurchase.
Disappointed :( I was so excited to caught it on sale at Rite Aide for $3.49 only to find out that it makes me break out. It's weird because I've been using the St. Ives green tea cleanser and am fine with it. It's not like it's helping my pimples either, but at least it's not breaking me out. I guess it's just not for my skin.
well, it's ok. it's a lot smoother and gentler than the apricot scrub, but it only has 1% salicylic acid. i tried using this and it didn't cause me to break out, but it certainly wasn't strong enough to prevent it or cure it. it smells great though...i've gone back to the apricot scrub because it just works so much better for me. as for the redness, it does help, but only a little bit.
