overall, this is a pretty good facewash...and it washes away ALL of my makeup (and i wear a lot!) if it is worth the money, that is debatable, but it's not a bad product. felt like my skin cleared up a bit on this stuff...personally, i like the moisturizer better...
this is a no good product it did nothing good for my skin. very drying it made my skin peel off even though i always followed it with a moisturizer i even tried using it just once a day but my skin still felt dry and parched after i used it. i guess it will be good for someone with very oily skin and for someone living in hot humid climatic conditions.
I used to have bad acne and my skin cleared up to a certain extent with the usage of the Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Products.
But it wasnt enough for me because I wanted my skin to be completely clear and after a year I decided to change my skin care to La Roche Posay and my skin has been completely clear ever since and its been two years.
Moving on to the review, this cleanser smells great imo.And I think it does a standard job of cleansing.Doesnt leave my face tight. But I personally dont think the tea tree oil in it is going to do anything for your skin because youre basically washing it off so it doesnt have time to work on your skin.Which is why Id suggest you use the complimentary tree oil products if you want the tea tree oil to work for your skin.
Best cleanser for combination skin ever, and - bonus - smells delicious! *** Disappointing update, this now contains alcohol, so looks like I will be transferring over to Neutrogena. Why do companies do this??****
I love this stuff. I truly believe that if you use this every day you will not have acne (except certain times of the month). I use this in conjunction with organic tea tree oil (not the stuff they sell but the real undiluted stuff) and I am acne free when I use it regularly. I use the tea tree oil during those stressful times or bad times of the month to reduce redness.
I've been using this wash for about a year now and I alternate it with the seaweed collection from the Body Shop.
I feel like it takes care of the redness on my skin, and it doesn't dry it out. I have sensitive and acne-prone skin, but since I started using this with the tea tree oil moisturizers, I almost never have flakes on my skin and it's not too oily.
I consider it a miracle because I've tried so many things specifically for acne that just dried out my skin and made it worse. This is one of the only things that I trust now.
This product made me break out sooo badly. I used it a few years ago and it did the same thing but I thought I'd try it again just incase...and well, no such luck. I never usually break out by the way but this, and the moisturizer just do not mesh with my skin.
I bought the starter kit for about $30 just so I could give it a try and see if I liked it. I was experiencing a horrible breakout that just wouldn't go away, so I was pretty desperate. I found that some of the acne started to go away, but then other pimples would grow in their place. So I'm not sure that the face wash really helped with the acne much. It did last a really long time (the tiny bottle probably lasted me for 3 months, just using it once every night).
Maybe it was just because my acne was so bad that it didn't seem to make much of a difference. I am on the fence about repurchasing because it's quite a bit pricier than I'm usually willing to pay for a cleanser. I think I'll just stick with Neutrogena for now.
i love this! it is my HG!!! it removes all of my makeup (b.c i usually follow up with a toner/astringent and with other cleansers the toner has to remove the rest of the dirt/makeup) and it being tea tree oil i know that it kills bacteria (most importantly the acne causing one.) plus it dissolves all the oils on my face. it leaves my face feeling soft and clean. and it leaves a nice sheen. i think people mistake that for being a film left over but it most definately isn't i i'm sure. anyway i'm on my second bottle and i will buy again! (i also use it as a brush cleaner. it's ok for that.
Okay cleanser.. doesn't clog pores or cause oilyness. However doesnt unclog pores and decrease oilyness.
