This is my everyday use liquid foundation, however i am only really using it up. It tends to highlight the dry area around my nose, but it is better than using any of my rimmel stay matte liquid/mousse foundation. Also it melts away during the summer day - definately not superstay for me, even when i set it with powder. I think it might be the cause of small bumps on my cheeks which i have been getting recently, so i would not purchase this product again.
Oh and the lightest shade, 005 alabaster, for you fair-skinned beauties out there is a little too pinky for my skin, and the 010 ivory is way too orange. So thumbs down for the colour range
Very heavy. It gets all over my clothes and is not long wearing or natural. Look ridiculous
I rarely use maybelline products and this foundation didn't help. I have seen really good reviews for this product so i have no idea why it worked so bad on me.
The consistency of this product was extremely fluid and felt it went on to thin and oily. Most foundations work good on me but this one barely even covered anything. Made my face look worse. I hate how it came in a glass container with no pump, made everything really messy. Def not trying this again.
I apply this foundation with a Sonia Kashuk foundation brush and it blends really well. It gives me a good coverage. For me, it stays on for the whole school day and longer, so it's staying power is REALLY good in my opinion. I apply loose powder over it every day (just plain Maybelline loose powser) to set it and it gives it a great finish. I hate the fact that it doesn't have a pump, and that the packaging is so tall. I would prefer it to be shorter and wider with a pump. Otherwise, I love this foundation and I would DEFINITELY repurchase.
In the UK the bottle comes with a pump which is a plus for liquid foundations but unfortunately that may be the only good thing about this foundation.
Despite it's 24 hour promise it maybe lasts 8 hours at the most with a primer before your skin looks dull and gross, it does give an ok coverage nothing to go crazy over. I have it in Sand Beige and although it has a yellow undertone it made me orange and I use half a pump to cover my whole face as I have quite good skin so this confused me a little especially as I must've taken 30 minutes to decide on what shade was best for me. It also rubs off quite badly on everything that even so much lightly touches your face. Overall this foundation is horrible, the Revlon Coloustay foundation is probably the best drugstore foundation you can buy rather than this crap.
EDIT: Bumping up a lippie. This foundation feels SO much better than Revlon Colorstay.
I love this foundation, but it isn't without its flaws. While it is smooth, and creamy to apply. The coverage itself, is a dream. It feels wonderfully natural on the skin. It does transfer terribly onto your clothing, or whatever manages to touch it. There is no pump, so it isn't sterile or easy to get the proper amount out of the bottle.
Also, I have light blonde hair, and somehow it manages to turn my hairline orange! So, I am on the fence if I would buy this again. I wish it felt like this foundation, and zero transfer like Revlon Colorstay. Sorry to say, this is a mixed review. continued >>
This is my second time purchasing this product and I really like it! Before I get into why I like it, it still has it faults. This product does NOT last 24hrs at all, which is one of the major downfalls, but it does last about 12hrs for me with the primer and finishing powder I apply on my face as well. Another major downfall is that it doesn't have a pump so that's annoying. My favorite part about this product is the color match! I use sand beige and it couldn't match my skin tone better, and it allows me to have a very natural look! People have complimented me on my skin many times saying it looks flawless! (But I always tell them it's the foundation and my actual skin is very uneven)
This stuff is pretty good for a drugstore product. I bought this awhile back and remember liking it, but I put it in the old makeup drawer and forgot about it until the last few days. The color, Sand Beige, is just perfect. The coverage is pretty good, too. It's believable and not as cakey as Revlon colorstay, which I find sets a bit too quickly for my tastes. It does not last 24 hours for me, but I'm really oily. It lasts maybe 3 or 4, unless you blot and touch up with powder every now and then, which will stretch it just about the whole day. However, I do live in Texas, and we're approaching the fiendishly hot summers that we're famous for, so my face is sweating quite a bit. Also, I wear waterproof sunblock under my makeup, which may affect the staying power somewhat. I bet this would be perfect for me in the spring or fall, and good for someone who doesn't live in Hades. I'd give this product another half lippie if it had sunblock in it, and another half if it had a pump top. So, if I was feeling generous that would be 4 lippies. Not bad at all for the price. If I wasn't constantly searching for the world's greatest foundation I would probably buy this again. But, the search goes on...
I ended up giving this product 3 lippies beause even though it's a good foundation it vaguely does what it promises, imho it promises way too much. First of all, thank goodness this has a pump, it would be annoying if it didn't. Second, it glides on evenly and gives medium coverage. Then... It really doesn't last 24 hours even though the name suggests that, I find it struggling to last the 9 hours I need it to last. The shade selection is crap, especially for fair skin tones like me. The shade I have is 005 Light Beige and it's too dark and pink for me but I try to manage with it, blending it a lot while applying. I feel like this is an ok foundation, it looks beautiful after you've applied it -it doesn't look so beautiful after 9 hours though... I have to touch up with concealer and powder throughout the day :( Well, worth a try!
So first of all I think that a pump with liquid make up is a must! Which this does not have. For my skin tone, which is very fair, there is no where near the selection I need. I don't like the feel of this stuff on my face.....it feels almost heavy? Also I am a warm tone and I felt that it went kind of orangy on me. I love the way L'Oreal True Match is set up with the warm, neutral and cool tones, it makes it so much easier to colour match. Department store lighting is not the best for colour matching, and it is especially hard when there isn't a mirror in sight! All around I wasn't very happy with this stuff and don't think I'll bother trying to colour match again.
