I love these products. I use the peppermint on my wood floors, the almond on my skin, and am about to try the baby one on my oily facial skin soon :)
This product has been a life saver for me for years. Although I love the fun and excitement of beautifully scented products in flashy packaging, Dr. Bronner's Liquid Castille Soap is a standard in our household. It wakes me up, clears my head and makes me feel so incredibly clean that it puts all other shower gels to shame! I always have some of this in my shower, no matter what else I'm using. My husband won't use anything else but this genius peppermint liquid soap. And, I love that it's natural and doesn't dry out my sensitive skin.
I love Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soaps. THe peppermint has a very uplifting scent. You would think that it refreshes every part of your body....but...it tingles only where it shouldn't if you get my drift. That's why i took one lippie off. But I still give it the usual raves.....it's gentle, smells nice, doesn't irritate and doesn't dry out my skin.
I have been using this cleanser/soap for over 6 months and I must say that is it an excellent body wash. I would never use the peppermint kind for the face since most minty extracts irritates my face and I have oily but sensitive skin. I use this as a body wash in the warmer months since I sweat pretty hard when the weather warms up. I would be careful with this stuff around your genitals since it can make it uncomfortable sensation, but great for those who suffer from mild body acne. I would be careful with this cleanser depending on what kind of water you have. When I was in school, I think the town used well water or underground water and when using this soap, it stripped off everything, even nail polish.
Love, love, love! I've been using this since I was a little girl, and I've never found a more perfect soap for getting through humid Florida summers. Great for when you are hot, grimy and in need of refreshment. Great for a foot soak treatment, and you can even use it as toothpaste in a pinch! Has been and always will be a staple in my home.
The dark horse HG of my search for something to shower with. It's completely natural (made from plant oils) and by traditional processes. It cleans very well, feels very refreshing, and creates an amazing amount of lather, especially given that it doesn't have lauryl sulfates etc..
You do have to look past the religious rantings that cover the bottle, and read the part where it says "Castille Soap". Although I had been looking for a castile soap, I would never have bought the stuff if I hadn't been forced to pick up a bottle to use at someone else's house.
I use this stuff for body and face; hair not recommended. Good as an everyday handwashing soap and for hand washing delicates, too.
Back-ne? Chest-ne? Oh HECK no, not with this stuff around!! Truly amazing in its degreasing abilities, truly scary if you read the manifesto on the labeling.... I like a nice clean but not tight feel, and a fragrance that doesn't linger, so this is a dream product in my book....
the price is worth it ( i bought it for $11), because first of all, the bottle is GIGANORMOUS compared to Dove and the other drugstore brands. it really does last me about 6 months. this is nice in the mornings, under a steamy shower. it really wakes me up! i use it on my face sometimes when i'm really oily. it works great without any irritation. highly recommend! EDIT// I don't recommend this on the face, it dried me out, and I got bumps. But I'm going to leave it at 5 lippies, because I love it on my body
I purchased the 16 oz liquid castille soaps in peppermint and almond. The peppermint is my favorite just because it gives me a lift in the morning - the almond is a more soothing and relaxing scent. These soaps are great if you have hard water and soap scum in your shower. This stuff just rinses away so nicely. The soap is incredibly effective in washing dirt away yet doesn't dry out your skin in the winter. Next time I'll try and see if I can find the solid rose scented castille soap.
The peppermint is so invigorating! And i love the fact that it is natural! I also like to put a few drops into hot water for a steam facial!
