Wish I could have given this product more lippies, but honestly it's just ok for me. I'm a HUGE sucker for trying out hair & skin products and this product wasn't what I'd hoped for. Smell is pretty mild, must say my hair did turn out nicley when I used the flat iron. I was really looking for a product that I could apply to my hair and allow to air dry nicley w/o the damn frizz! Oh well, on to the next product!
This stuff is really good for super frizzy hair. It also de-tangles. It feels really greasy on your hands, so you think it will be greasy on your hair but it's not. I mean, it kind of is but in a good way. Smells good too. But the pump (atleast on mine) is a piece of shit. Stopped working for me completely.
This is an alright product . . . I have thick, curly, long hair and I use this in conjunction with Paul Mitchell's Sculpting Foam (my HG!) before blow drying in the morning. No matter what I do, blow-drying is going to produce some frizz, but this settles it down a bit and does add some shine if I apply a bit after. I'm not sure if I'll buy it again . . . I feel as though there must be a better product out there. For $5, it's still a good deal. I think it would be really effective on those with straight, thick hair.
This product is so mandatory in my life now. It softens and smoothens out my course, wavy hair that easily gets tangled. Iím rather surprised that many reviewers so far have had serious problem with its scent, because to me, itís another positive thing about this product. In fact, I use the entire line of Garnier Sleek & Shine haircare products, but I really like the floral smell of this product that stands out from the other items within the line, which have sweet, fruity scent (not that I mind this scent, either). If I am to be critical about this product, the only thing comes to my mind is that its container Ė itís kind of get a hold of and store. It is needless to say Iíve been a frequent user of this product.
Helped tame my wild ends and added a nice shine to my hair. As with any product like this, I felt that it made my hair look dirty sooner, but still very nice. Helps me to feel less guilty when frying my hair with blowdriers and straightening irons.
Since JF's frizzease was supposed to be magical, I tried that first and found it does absolutely nothing for my hair. I tried this next and found while it doesn't tame my frizz it does leave my hair shinier and makes it easier to blowdry.
I have thick curly hair so I appreciate the shine it adds for my straightened look. The smell isn't too bad, and the consistency is quite thin. One pump is enough me and I have medium length hair.
I would buy this again based on it's price...but I'm still looking for the right serum for me. If I find that nothing gives me better results, then this is a definite re-buy.
Pretty good for hair straightening, or massage a few drops into unrelaxed hair, twist and let air-dry. Good shine. Pretty strong smell, so check the scent before buying, as it may interfere with perfume. Will do the job just as weel as some other pricier products.
It has pure alcohol (not moisturizing alcohol) and cyclopentasiloxane. Can there BE anything worse for your hair? I used to use it when I was stupid. It never made my hair less frizzy or more shiny. My hair is curly and it just made the top layers of curls look frizzy and stringy.
Please please please don't use this on your hair!!! Especially when straightening, because the silicones are like plastic and it's like you are melting plastic into your hair cuticles...
NEVER will buy again..
This stuff is amazing! It made my hair super sleek and non greasy and the shine is awesome! I stopped buying this product because of one thing-THE SMELL. It smells "good at first" but it overpowers your own perfume and EVERYONE can smell it! THE SMELL STARTED ANNOYING ME after awhile iits so freakin strong and I wished they made an unscented version because only then will I buy it again. Now I stick to softer smells with the same quality :)
Updated review.: New formula with argan and apricot oil: Love this new formula. The old bugspray smell is gone. Very lightweight and a little goes a long way. I have wavy coarse thick hair and it remained frizz free in NJ autumn humidity. For about $4.00 each. I will definitely repurchase in the future.
Old formula in 2006: bought and used it on vacation since there was nothing better and cheaper at the local drugstore....regreted it since it smelled like bugspray in your hair...yuck..helped a little with the frizzies but the effect did not last for more than a half hour. cant stand the smell. :-( love Garnier sleek and shine conditioning mask though....back to my CHI silk infusion serum which leaves my hair silky and smooth.
