I bought this foundation with high expectations. The color match was ok but the consistency was very thin and there is no pump so it is way too messy. The opening on the top is too big so i cant even shake the bottle with my finger over it to get the product like I can L'oreal true match. For the money I will buy the whipped version because it is way better and doesnt leave my face sticky.
Very disappointed at this product, read up on reviews which recommended foundation but feel as though I have wasted my money. Shade was not a good match, did not like consistency found it very thin and did not like the dispensing of foundation. There was no pump and did not come out easy.
Would not buy again :(
I had heard many good reviews on this product and was excited to try it. It was on the more expensive side as far as drugstore foundations go, but i still bought it. I tried it that day, only to find that it was a waste of money. I have pretty good skin other than minor acne scarring but this foundation didn't even cover that. It had very light coverage and didn't do much for my skin. Anouther down side is that even though i got it in the dry skin formula, it clung to all my little dry patches even though i moisturized before applying the foundation. It left my skin looking uneven and blotchy, and my acne scars were still completely showing! Maybe i just got a defected foundation, but i was really hoping for better out of this product! :(
I tried this out after hearing so many beauty gurus on YouTube rave about this foundation. I used MAC's studio fix fluid for years and hated it, wanting something better but couldn't find something with great coverage that didn't break me out. I tried this (I find its expensive for drugstore, only down side) and I love it. I have oily skin and this leaves me matte all day, doesn't feel heavy which is my biggest pet peeve, doesn't have an annoying smell, has great coverage.. I just love this stuff. I threw my MAC out as soon as I started using this. Great stuff.
The dry/normal skin version is hands down the best foundation out there!! I've tried them all... high end, low end, everything and I finally tried this two years ago and have not looked back.
It is the perfect amount of dewy, very blendable and natural looking if you know how to use it (exfoliate, moisturize and don't use too much!).
And it stays put like NO OTHER, it's literally amazing. I have acne scars (another plus: doesn't cause breakouts!) and even in the summer I like to wear a little bit of foundation because I feel more confident. I wear a thin layer of this to the beach and set it with a very small amount of the colorstay pressed powder. I can go swimming all day and it stays put, looks super natural and the spf keeps my skin protected!
To get it off at night I use jojoba oil but I'm sure any makeup remover would work. It definitely won't come off with just a gentle cleanser though.
The only slight downside is that it can give you a white-cast in photos with flash. This is true for any foundation with spf in it unfortunately. It doesn't usually happen to me except with iphone photos (damn that flash is bright!) so if I care more about how I'm going to look in photos than in person for a particular event I'll wear makeup forever HD instead. But for daytime or just every day I ALWAYS prefer this because it just looks so much more natural.
I have very oily skin, can't seem to use mineral makeup, but if I use a flat buffer brush with this, it is a great heavier coverage base for me. If I use my fingers or a sponge, it just doesn't work. I wet the brush just a tiny bit, dust Rimmel oil control powder on, and I'm good for the day. If I should happen to sweat or have some oil breakthrough, blotting papers do the trick.
This is my HG "heavier" makeup. Maybelline beauty balm is perfect for me if my skin is behaving.

Just bought this foundation after seeing rave reviews on MUA about it, so I figured I'd give it a try since it's far cheaper than my current HG foundation. So far I love it! I gave it 4 lippies because I haven't worn it long enough to give it 5, so I'll edit this after a few weeks if need be. However, the shade is perfect, it gives a very nice finish semi-matte with a dewiness look. It's medium-full coverage in my opinion which is perfect for me, doesn't look cakey at all. Definitely worth a try for the price!
I work 12 hour shifts and have extremely oily skin. I had just accepted that I would never find a foundation that lasted through the day with sufficient coverage, but this one really works. It is a little cakey and hard to blend with a duo-fiber brush. It is also a little more coverage than I like, so I mix it with my Dream Lumi foundation for gorgeous glowy skin that lasts all day.
Where has this been all my life!? I've been paying $35 for my Merle Norman foundation because I had it matched to my pale face and even that didn't match 100%. I bought this in Ivory and it was a prefect fit! Better coverage than anything I've tried yet. I will def keep this in my collection for a long time to come!
HG. Doesn't get better than this, well, for me. I wear the shade 110 Ivory. For some reason, when testing this in the store it seemed pinkish under the lights but it's not. I am neutral, leaning a teensy weensy bit to the warmer side and this is perfect. In MAC I am an NC15. Stays on all day, blends easily, no patches, looks flawless. I went out clubbing, got drunk, was a raving mess, went to the bathroom, looked in the mirror and foundation was still perfect! I don't know how but it was. Also photographs well. I just love it and will buy it forever. I haven't found anything better. The end.
