I like the mintiness, and feel I need a protective waxy coat on my lips when venturing out in the winter. It fades less quickly than any other product I've tried, high- or low-end. I take off one lippy because it can actually be hard to spread. (I prefer the tube format for sanitary reasons.)
After reading how great this is, I wanted to try it. When I'm nervous, bored, whenever, I tend to pull my lips. So they get dry and raw sometimes. Burt's Bees did nothing for them other than curb my cravings for Andes mint chocolate (since that's exactly what it tastes like to me). I end up having to reapply it all the time, not because I'm licking it off, but it just doesn't stay. Chapstick's Medicated Lip Balm is 100% better and only like $1.00.

This was waaaaaay too minty for me. And it didn't even moisturize! 'Nuff said. PS-I gave it 3 lippies because a lot of my friends and family seem to like it A LOT!
I totally do NOT recommend this... left my lips even MORE chapped and I felt the need to constantly reapply over and over again. In the beginning it was fine... after a few weeks of using the product, it went downhill.
I purchased this at B&BW to meet the minimum amount for a GWP. It's rather mediocre. The texture is a lot waxier than I prefer & I don't like the tingling sensation from the mint. I would not purchase this again. continued >>
looove it! the smell, taste, texture, everything! it smells like peppermint, tastes like it too. gives my lips a tingiling feeling, and mostierizes and un dries times. this cost me $2.50.
Although this does make my lips tingle, I find myself having to constantly re-apply because it actually dries my lips out. I read an article that some companies actually put ingredients in their lip balms that will cause a chemical burn on your lips and then a tingle to numb the lips - the effect? The constant need to re-apply. Although Burt's Bees has natural ingredients, I wonder if they found a natural ingredient that does this...

It's great. I love the tingling sensation you get when you wear it. It moisturizes my lips just as well as Chapstick. Now if they could just add some SPF to it...
This product really leaves the lips feeling smooth. There is a mild 'tingling' sensation when you first apply to the lips. I've tried the Burt's Bees lipcolors and found them to work just as well. The main difference in the two products is the hint of color. I think they are the ideal solution for someone wanting to wear a lipbalm along with their lipstick...This just cuts down on the application steps.
The only problem I have with Burt's products is the smell...It really takes some getting used to...
