I absolutely love this paintpot, it's probably my favourite. I thought Painterly wasn't doing anything for me since it was just a matte flesh color and I can't use paintpots as a primer because they crease on me.
This one is a peachy, orangey shimmery color, it's great as a base under peach shadows but also worn on its own. When I am in a rush, I wouldt jus put a bit of Rubenesque on my lips over UDPP, add liner and mascara and off I am.
Since I am NC15, the color is subtle but definitely shows on me.

I bought this at my local MAC counter without swatching it because I had watched so many videos where people simply raved about it. Big mistake. I absolutely hated this product. For reference, I am an NC 25, but I did not like this paint pot at all, even when I swatched it on my hand. When I applied it to my lid, I saw absolutely no color, it looked as though I had just caked on a lot of glitter. I was greatly disappointed, I wanted a nice peach shade, the description so many have given it, or like the swatch on the MAC website. I took it back right away and exchanged it for Painterly, the MUA even told me that all of people don't like Rubenesque because of how glittery it is. This did not work on me, but it obviously works on many others. So if you're planning on buying it, make sure you swatch it first, so you know exactly what you're getting.

I picked up a sample of Rubenesque and am not sure about it. I use it as a base but it is shimmery, so I won't be using it on a daily basis. I prefer Soft Ochre or Painterly.

I don't want to pick favorites, but this is prpbably my favorite eye base! I usually apply UDPP all over, and then this just on my lid. It is a gorgeous peachy-pink color with shimmer. It is great for summer, but summer is over soon :(

I love the color in the pot but it doesn't work well w/ my skin tone. It is too yellow I think. I think it works nice as a shadow base although my shadows tend to fade at the crease. Still, I like the packaging and the color and I would buy this again.

This is such a beautiful color. It is a shimmer orange-peachy color. It is gorgeous alone or you can use it as a base. As a base it doesn't crease on you and it helps your e/s adhere so much better to your skin. And with this color, it is going to add a little kick to whatever shade you put on your eye.
It comes in a glass jar with a screw top. You can apply it with your fingertips or I use sometimes 252 if I don't want to get my fingers dirty. But I recommend your fingers! The heat from your fingertips will help the paint pot go on much smoother and you can blend it better! Let alone, you can also apply it much faster with your fingertips. Your fingers are the best brushes!!! :) :) But the glass jar has a big opening so that you can reach the product with your fingers NO PROBLEM! I recommend a paint pot for EVERYONE! This shade is beautiful, but it may not work with everyone. But there is a paint pot for every skin tone out there! Paint pots are a definite buy and a must-have!!

This color is drop dead gorgeous! I have never been able to pull off any sort of pink-gold but this peach-gold is just perfect for my warm complexion. I wear it alone or with some sort of brown in the crease. Lasts pretty well even on my pretty oily eyes.

I love paint pots!
It doesn't crease and gives a gorgeous golden peachy color.
I like to wear this alone sometimes if I don't have much time in the morning to get ready.

It does smell kinda funky to me though...But oh well, I can deal. :)

I like it, it doesn't crease. I just wish it was more pigmented for days when I want to wear it by itself, rather than as a base.

I find this product hard to work with as it dries quite fast. I usually wear M.A.C's paint pots alone and I find that Rubenesque looks drying and cakey on me. It also flakes as well, but that could just be my skin. I love the color, though. It's very pretty and pigmented with peach and gold reflects.
