I have always wanted to try this but its super exy in Australia. When strawberrynet offered it for only $20 i bought 2 in the hope that it would be as great as i thought ... and it is!
I got it this afternoon and used it on my legs. They are so much silkier and smoother than normal!
I havent noticed any smell at all! It absorbs super fast and is the perfect body moisturiser!
I am about to buy more at that great price to stock up.
Shame i have SO many body creams ... heee heee.
EDIT: there are slightly more moisturizing lotions but this makes your skin softer than the others. :) GOOD STUFF!
This lotion works very well, but so do a lot of others like Palmers, nivea, lancome, etc. I think the price is a lot for body lotion, I spent $42 on the bottle but it does not irritate my skin because I have very sensitive skin and it does not make me break out. Thank god. It does make my skin baby soft but I think a bit pricey for body lotion.
I totally understand now why people are in the search for a dry body lotion due to moving to super dry los angeles. I use to live in super humid New Orleans and could not understand what the problem was.
Well now living in Los Angeles I have to say that this lotion is the BOMB. I have used everything to try and combat this super dry climate from Cetaphil, Bath and Body, to L'Occitane and this Kiehl's tops the list and it also tops the list for being super expensive. With tax it is $50.00 to me that is EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It just blows my mind. I do not mind spending $20 or even $25 to $30 for body lotion but $50 is really pushing it!!!!
Wonderful Heavy Duty lotion.
Does what is says, make you nice and soft in only a couple uses.
8 ounce bottle lasts a long time. If your hands are crazy dry this will whip you in shape, but it's not a hand lotion so you might be a little slippery.
I love this product. I've suffered from eczema and generally dry, itchy skin for years and always end up resorting to Eucerin creme to keep my skin from drying out in the winter no matter how many lotions I try.
This is the first regular lotion I've tried that has kept my skin soft without being heavy and greasy. Yes, it's expensive. No, the scent isn't anything special. I have the softest skin of my life and the bottle appears to be lasting for a long time despite using the product on my entire body at least once a day. It's definitely worth the price to be comfortable in my own skin during the winter without leaving grease stains everywhere.
I originally got this as a sample about a year ago when making another purchase from Kiehls. I suffer with very dry skin (had ezcema until my 20's) and need to slather it as soon as I emerge from the shower. The sample didn't impress me but due to the discontinuation of my usual skin cream (Ahava Dermud) in the UK, I decided to give this another go. Have to say, am really pleased that I did! A little seems to be going a long way, and although I dislike the smell, it fades very quickly. Keeps me moisturised all day long, which I suppose, is as much as you can ask for!
As with all Kiehls stuff, I love the packaging as its simple and easy to travel with.
I recently had a very, very bad experience with a scented lotion. My skin has suddently become highly sensitive and broke out in hives over my entire body!! It was so terrible. I ended up buying Creme de Corps because the doctor told me I had use unscented, hypo allegenic stuff from now on. I was so bummed because I LOVE scented lotions. So, I felt if I was relegated to the world of non-scented I was going to indulge in something other than a drug store brand. I don't think that this is listed as "hypo allegenic" but it doesn't have anything but a natural scent to it. This sinks right in my skin on me and makes it feel awesome. It is winter here in Wisconsin and so for now this is perfect, I may try their lighter version for summer. After my rash debacle, I stupidly tried and Aveda scented lotion thinking it would be ok for my skin being it's natural, unfortunately after a few uses I broke out again in hives (though I caught it before it was out of hand) so now this is my new best friend. I'm not deviating from it anymore. To me, it's worth the price if I don't get hives and I have nicely moisturized skin.
I have just finished the large bottle with pump, it is hard to get the last quarter out, which is really annoying. I do not need to wait to get dressed after I use this. Makes my skin soft and smooth, testure thick and rich like butter, smell is not great, but quickly dies down so you can wear other perfumes.
I love this body lotion, it is amazing. I used it when I lived in Colorado andit was the only lotion that kept my legs soft and moisturized. I am on my 4th bottle and I recently bought the large version with the pump and I love it even more.
I'm lukewarm on Kiehl's for the most part, but this is one product I cannot do without in the Winter! I have extremely dry skin on my body and very little helps without being so greasy it leaves marks on my sheets, or worse, giving me a rash (sensitive skin too, unfortunately:( )
This is a godsend! I apply it to lightly towel dried skin right out of the shower. After I finish the rest of my evening "getting-ready-for-bed" ritual, it has soaked in enough so there is no apparent film on the skin.
I agree that the price is rather hefty, but I find that this is so moisturizing that I can skip a day between uses. Plus, I only need to use it sporadically in the Spring and Summer(I use the Creme de corps Lightweight for the warmer months).
There is a bit of a vegetal fragrance to it, but it is not strong and fades to nothing within a few seconds after application.
I've used this for well over 10 years and I'm still loving it!
