I love this trio. The eyelid shade is similar to UD sin, just a bit peachier. The white is kinda frosty, not my style but pretty anyway. The crease shade is gorgeous! A true light brown. I havent found a similar color to this in my stash, its unique. The shadows are buttery smooth and has minimal fallout. I will buy again if I finish it!
Wet n Wild should pretty much be crowned queen of drugstore eye shadows for giving us such wonderful quality products. According to emilynoel83 on YouTube, the white is a dupe for MAC Shroom, the brown for MAC Cork, and the lid color for MAC Naked Lunch. These colors are insanely pigmented, you only need to lightly swirl your brush in it to apply color. The colors are very soft, they have good staying power. I ran a little experiment where I wore one of these colors without a primer, and it did not hold up the same amount of time as it would with a primer, but I was pleasantly surprised how it stayed on for a hot and muggy day outside! The packaging is nice and stays together, unlike a lot of other drugstore products, and the price is amazing. I absolutely love this palette as well as the others from Wet n Wild. Please try them! It's so worth it!
Okay, first off. I'm a beginner in terms of eyeshadow. I have only started to wear them these past 2 months or so. I dont really wear eyeshadows before because I have semi-double lid and they're hooded. And I never bothered wearing any except mascara and intense eyeliner plus I used to suck at blending eyeshadows together and picking the right color. But I had purchased Naked 2 and Naked 1 on a whim about 2 months ago (they are my first real shadows) and I had to force myself to start wearing eyeshadow or else it would go to waste. And my application has gotten better after numerous YT Tutorials.
What can I say? These shadows put the UD Shadows to SHAME! I was really surprised how smooth and pigmented these are. I mean, honestly speaking I dare say the pigmentation are much much better than any of the colors on the UD palettes that I own and the vibrancy of the colors are just spectacular even more vibrant than that of the UD palette. Bear in mind this is my first Wet N Wild Shadows. Had I known the quality of the Wet N Wild Shadows were this good I would have skipped on the UD Naked 1 & 2 and would have saved myself USD 120.00~~~Sigh~~. End of Rant. Okay these shadows are buttery smooth and have zero fall out on me. the colors are easily blended and are really pigmented. And they last a while. The lid color looks really gorgeous on me but the crease color on the pan looks like a medium brown but on me it looks bronze (shimmery). (I'm NC35 btw). The browbone highlight is great, works well. All in all a great colors but I had to use another deep brown color from my collection for the crease as the crease color does not work well on my skin tone. Highly recommended! To any shadows beginner, pls pls pls try the Wet n Wild Shadows before you go High End. These are really good.
I found the eyeshadows to be very soft and pigmented. They were very easy to work with. The colors made me seem more awake. They weren't very noticeable. They had decent but not great staying power.
I love this little trio. I think these shadows are really pigmented blendable, but I have to knock the fallout off my brush due to the softness. They last all day over TFSI. This is a must have for me.
As for color, I wear the bottom peach/pink shade practically everyday. I wear it as a lid color or highlighter (as to be expected) or in the crease of a low-key smokey eye. This color is beautiful! I'm NW 10-15 and really pink, but the peach in this color keeps it from looking icy-frosty on me. I find this peach pairs particularly well with Cover Girl Mink in a variety of combinations. My favorite light, neutral eye is the peach on the lid with Mink in the crease with WnW Brulee blending out the brow.
I wear the medium brown only occasionally. It's a perfectly fine shadow, but I just don't wear browns that much even though I have about 40 brown shadows. I never wear the white. I think it would be a good inner-eye highlighter, but I have different shadows I use and love. Even when I use this trio’s peach and brown together, I use a different light neutral for my brow because I don't really sparkle my brow.
I've never had a problem with the packaging although it seems cheap. What do you expect for $3?
This is actually my new go- to shadow trio for everyday, it's easy to put on quickly to make my eyes stand out more without looking too made up for class. It was only about 3 or 4 dollars and the shadows stay on well with primer.
The eye shadows are really nice, soft and buttery, but they are a bit too frosty and shimmery for my taste plus there's always some fallout. I am NW15 and the two lighter colors look very similar on my lids. Nice to have in my collection but I really can't do too many looks with this. The packaging is also pretty crappy and the applicator that comes with it is horrible. I would repurchase though, it's still great value for money.
It must look amazing on someone more tan than me.
At first, I totally underestimated this palette until I realized its potential. The neutral pink shade in this trio matches my lid colour completely, so if I want to go for that effortless "I was born with perfect skin look," I just conceal any blue and redness, apply the pink colour to my lids, and then define my eyes with the warm brown colour. I, of course, finish the look off with liner and mascara. I don't care for conservative make up, but sometimes you just want to wear make up that doesn't appear super "try hard". I find this palette perfect for those days.
Wet n wild products are usually okay and deal with what is reasonable with my budget but I kind of regret getting this eye shadow because is so glittery it reminds me of either showgirls or hookers I still use it because it would be a waste if I did not use it but there are other cheap brands that carries eyeshadow that do not have so much glitter on them like NYC or la colors.
So I have always had a love for bright and bold eyeshadow looks but I can't wear them all the time. After searching for beautiful and natural colors that will also be long lasting, I gave up. I was spending way too much money on eyeshadows that wouldn't last without the expensive eye primers and other spackles and plasters you needed. I decided to go back to wet ' n' wild products. I fell in love with them in high-school so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try them out again. I'm so in love. Walking on eggshells from their color icon line is my new daily favorite. The colors are perfect for my green eyes and it goes on smooth and lasts all day. No more 87 coats of plaster to make my eyeshadow stay. I just use a little bit of concealer and it stays on all day. I got 3 more of these trios (silent treatment, sweet as candy and knock on wood) and I love those too. I'm working on collecting the whole line of eyeshadows. The packaging isn't all that great and the brushes it comes with stink but I just treat them with care and use my own brushes. Its worth it for any age. Whether you're just starting to wear makeup or if you're just looking for a cheaper alternative.
