This is the best concealer I have tried-by far. For me, this works well for everything. Under eye and for blemishes. I have few blemishes and it hides them all. This is an ultra long-lasting, matte finish, oil-free, waterproof, full coverage concealer. It covers major imperfections like scars, hyperpigmentation, major discoloration, burns, and tattoos. This light and creamy concealer contains a high concentration of pigments that stay put, making it perfect for use on the face, as well for the under eye. Def my HG concealer. I'm in the shade Vanilla 5. I use this with my MAC 195 concealer brush on top of my Chan Vitalumiere Aqua foundation.
I really like this MUFE full cover concealer. I have the misfortune to have oily skin, skin discoloration/hyperpigmentation, and pimples that pop up on that time of the month. For color reference I am MAC NC 20 in winter/NC 25 in summer/ Estee Lauder DoubleWear foundation in Sand/Revlon Colorstay foundation in 180 Sand Beige. I use the MUFE Full Cover concealer in shade #6 for skin discoloration near the upper cheek bones and #7 for the rest of my face.
This concealer covers pimples and acne well and it will cover light to medium-ish skin hyperpigmentation, however, it will not cover really dark hyperpigmentation or other dark skin discoloration unless you really cake this thing on. Regardless, I really do like how this concealer performs because once it is on it does not budge.
I also have the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage concealer in SC-3, and although the level of coverage of both concealers are about the similar, I would have to say that I prefer the MUFE Full Cover concealer because it lasts much longer. In comparison to the Hardy Candy Glamoflauge, the level of coverage is about the same but the Glamoflauge is greasy (which is good for dry skin) whereas the Full Cover is matte (good for oil skin). Anyhow, I would definitely buy this concealer again.
I love this concealer, it does its job right. but it is NOT for the under eye. at least not for me.
theres just something about the packaging I don't really like.
This conceller is very good coverage . Stay for all day without oily.
This is the one product that I can really default to if I start breaking out, my foundation stops matching, or I run out of everything else. I've been using it for about 5-6 years and have it in #2 (was sooo pale in my teens), 4 (winter), and 5 (summer). The colours are realistic skin shades, neither too pink-orange nor yellow. There is no shimmer nor spf so it lends itself well to photography. The coverage is full in only a couple thin layers. If I'm out of foundation, I can blend it out into a sheer layer from the center of my face and look like I just have amazing skin. The formula's reliable, waterproof, sweatproof (pat it a little after sweating to prevent separation over pores) and lasts up 'til I go to take it off late at night so it doesn't have to be taken along.
Full Cover has gone up in price since I started using it but the tube lasts so much longer than anything else (years!), not too bitter about the price hike.
One thing to be aware of, when I first started using this I would apply it too thickly and it would cake, get into lines, and look unnatural. The formula is a little too drying and has a flat finish so it's inappropriate for undereye use. Always blend it into thin layers and remember to set with powder.
Edit: This photographs weird unless you put foundation over it. MUFE Full Cover is still amazing otherwise. Using CdP and Hourglass concealers for photography until I find a cheaper full coverage alternative.
Love this concealer. Too bad i went into Sephora thinking i could match my own shade and it ended up being too dark. But i found a way to make it work! It actually matches my MUFE Duo Mat powder in shade 205 Medium Beige while the Full Cover is 10 Golden Beige. They look exactly the same on my face. I just dont set the concealer with powder but it stays. I just wish i bought a lighter shade because the darker one doesnt cover like i want it to. I have many acne scars and this covers them. I was recently using MUFE camoflauge cream in the pot but i wanted something less messy. So now im using Full cover.
Bottom line, im happy and once i run out, ill buy my proper shade.
For reference, I am NC15-NC20, and use this in shade 4. This stuff is amazing. I'm currently on my fourth tube, and pretty much refuse to buy any other concealer out there. I went through a period in my life where I had breakouts all over my face and I woudn't leave the house without it on. (It practically served as my foundation bc my skin was just that bad) At this point, most of my breakouts have gone away, but I'm still dealing with some light scarring. I just dab some of this on my trouble areas and my skin looks almost flawless (to the point where I'm even getting compliments---which has NEVER happened before).
My advice would be to dab a single layer of this wherever you need it. I always squeeze a little bit onto the back of my hand and then use my fingers to blend it onto my skin. It's heavy duty stuff, so too much is very obvious, and a little goes a long way. It never broke me out (which is always a major concern of mine, since I have sensitive skin). This is definitely worth a try if you're having skin troubles. Although I must also warn you it doesn't look good on dry patches, so be careful with that.
It's a little pricey ($30 for 0.5oz @ sephora), but you really won't need much because it's so pigmented. Totally worth the money.
I give this concealer a A+, so far. I tend to fall in and out of love with products and have tried so many concealers and tend to always go back to my Mac Studio Finish since it's kinda dry and works great on blemishes but this is 10 times better. Right now I'm NC25 and I got #6, it's a perfect match. I only use this for blemishes and for me the price isn't an issue because I use it everyday sadly but it covers great. This paired with the MUFE HD Powder or Mac msfn, I could not live without. I will def repurchase. The squeeze tube is more handy than a jar and the tiniest amount goes a long way. The only way I got this to work for me was to tap it onto the blemish and around it as well. If I need to apply more, I come back to it and re apply after the first layer has dried.
Thanks to the reviews on this concealer, I was able to get my perfect match (#4 for NC15 / MUFE HD 117) on the first try without seeing it in person (ordered online). I find FC to be very good at concealing acne and hyperpigmentation; a tiny dot of this covers well, though it is very easy to accidently cake this stuff on. IMO FC is definitely more of a "face" concealer than an undereye concealer, as the consistency is a little too dry and prone to caking. Also, I love that this concealer is waterproof: its staying power is fantastic.
I have also used Hard Candy's Glamoflauge (another full coverage concealer) and while its consistency is creamier, it doesn't cover as well as FC (it's still decent however). But, because it's not waterproof, I find that within a couple hours the product has disappeared from my skin (I have dry skin). And after it disappears, if I reapply Glamoflauge it emphasizes any dry patches. This product works alright as an undereye concealer, however.
I've been using this product for a year now and I have to say that this is my favorite concealer for covering blemishes and zits. I initially had this in shade no. 10 (my skin was about NC40 that time). Since my skin has lightened (currently I'm an NC35 to NC37), I switched to shade no. 8.
Before I apply this, I prep my skin with moisturizer and a bit of primer. I apply this with a small concealer brush to the blemishes and zits in my cheeks and forehead. The concealer dries fast so you have to work quickly. Once it dries, it covers my imperfections beautifully and does a good job at evening out my skin. I have oily skin and staying power is about 6-8 hours, provided that I set it with powder (MAC Studiofix). Also, this product did not break me out so that's a definite plus for me. I do notice that this concealer tends to oxidize just a bit once it has set onto your skin, but the change in color is minimal and it does not really bother me. Next time, I would like to try this in shade no. 7 to see if it would match my skin better after oxidizing.
I bought this concealer around August and I have been using it literally EVERYDAY. Believe me when I say that I'm not even close to finishing half the tube. All you need is a small amount to work with since it covers really well. I think that if you use too much product, it would end up looking cakey.
Overall, I am very happy with this concealer and I would continue to re-purchase this. Definitely HG status for me :) I would not recommend this for under eye circles since the formulation is too dry to use under the eyes. The Full Cover Concealer is more ideal for blemishes, acne and discoloration on the face. I would suggest that when you try this at the counter, try to swatch at least two shades on your skin and walk around first for at least 20-30 minutes. Check to see if the shade matches your skin since as I mentioned above, this tends to oxidize a bit.
