This lipstick is not for everyone!
I am olive skinned and yet I had a hard time pulling this off. The interesting thing was when I put this on when i had eyeliner on, it looked terrible, but when I put this on with a natural look, it doesnt look as bad. I guess you have to know and try this lipstick in many ways, in many looks to finally get it right.
I love the creme lipsticks by MAC. What you see is what you get - and this color is no exception. The application is smooth and the color is rich. A great color!
After trying on Angel, and finding out the color wasnt for me, (NC42) I decided to try on Creme Cup. This lipstick gives you that nude/baby pink look. This is now one of my favorite lipsticks! I would recommend it to anyone.
So I have been meaning to get this creme cup for a while, and I finally got it and, it is already my new favourite! It is a slightly brighter color than my lips, but its perfect just to add a bit more of a pinky tone to them. It is perfect for work and I would also wear it at night time with a dramatic eye. I love love love this. Its a must have! Such a gorgeous color!
Lurve the texture to death- Cremesheens look great on me, luckily! (On that note: Why would you purchase a 14 dollar lipstick if you only think the finish is "okay"? I know that's not expensive in the world of HE cosmetics, but for a college student putting herself through school it is.)
Creme Cup is a beautiful, subtle pink-nude. The finish is less opaque and mask-like than a traditional matte; therefore it's easy to wear if you have the right undertones. For me, it came down to Hue, Hug Me, Blankety or Creme Cup.
While I love the texture of this lipstick, I will be returning it. Once I saw it outside in natural light, I hated the way it looked on me. Someone with cooler undertones and the same level of fairness- I am an NC15, an NC20 in summer- could pull Creme Cup off beautifully! I'm thinking Blankety or Hue will look much better because I am much more warm than cool.
At first i really liked this lip stick but within a week it melted and broke so now i have to get a pot and try to scoop what i can out of it and try to save it so i didnt waste my 15 dollars becausevi really do like the color i just wish it wasnt so soft i guess. Its not even like i left it in tue car or something i just had it on my dresser and its ruined. Oh well i will not be buying a cremesheen again.
I had creme cup before gaga even came out. I loved creme cup because it was a light but bright pink that looked good with black eyeshadow. Now that i have gaga, i realized that creme cup isnt that light & bright compaired to other lipsticks. Creme Cup is more of a wearable shade because it isnt as intense or 'dramatic' My mom actually loves & wears this shade, so i would buy this again for her, just not for me. I do like MAC lipsticks smell, and creme cup does apply smoothly, but its not that pigmented.
marketed as a "more smooth" formula version of MAC angel. granted i have very pigmented lips, but this color looked like old lady pink on me. i returned it to MAC the same day.
If I could, I'd give this a 3.5. Loved the vanilla scent, no weird taste, elegant & professional looking packaging. The color and formula seemed inconsistent. One day, it'd look great, but the next day, it'd look off and uneven. I probably will repurchase at some point, but I want to try other MAC lipsticks first.
