This is a pretty good little concealer.
I have moderate circles under my eyes and I find that the light shade is a good match for me (nc 20-ish) and it hides my circles fairly well.
I apply a little to each ring finger and gently pat it under each eye until blended. Then I either stipple on my foundation or just dust w/loose powder if I'm not bothering with full makeup.
At the end of they day my under eye area does look a little dry, however that's the case no matter what I use to hide circles... I'm still searching for my HG hydrating, plumping eye cream or serum. : )
I did not like this at all. I typically like very liquidy/creamy concealers because I have some fine lines under my eyes. This concealer is very very dry and just did not apply smoothly under my eyes. Also did not cover my dark circles. Found it to apply very streaky and dry. I like MAC's moisturecover concealer and the Garnier eye roller concealer.
I love this stuff! Literally my only complaint is that the new design doesn't click when you twist it so I thought mine was broken!
Other than that I'm obsessed with this stuff. I use the light one when I'm tan and not tan and it works wonders. It's highlighting and has great coverage. No cakeyness either. Perfect!
This is just okay. I can make it work but I worry about wearing it for an entire work day without touching up or having to mirror check. I also have to mix the fair and the light concealer for my true shade. It has a flexible coverage range but it has too much slip, it does not fully set so this leads to creasing. I removed the sponge applicators as they get messy and they are not precise enough for covering certain areas than others under my eyes.
**Update: For a while this concealer has been better than most for me, yet for the past few weeks I have used Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and it has exceeded my expectations of what I have been looking for in a concealer all of this time. I no longer use this Maybelline concealer
Bought this in the shade neutralizer, the yellowest of all the shades.
The coverage is excellent yet product is thin, light and moisturizing.
I also use this to cover spots and it works well.
I have tried every product out there and spent so much money at dept. Stores. This is a great concealer. Do not use a heavy eye cream with it. No need. I use the corrector and then the concealer. I let both dry a minute before patting them to blend. I dust ever so lightly with translucent powder. Never creases or dries out. Everything else does. I have bad dark circles and this really works and wears well. I wish it did not have parabens but that is the only downside.
I've had several high end concealers, and this one is right up there with them, if not better. A little goes a long way. For those saying it settles into fine lines...try using a primer and start off with a small amount. Apply with a MAC 239 brush (or any brush you have that is similar) Do not DRAG the applicator across your dark circles, dot it on and then use your 239 brush to blend it in. Works every time for me, flawlessly. Great packaging because you can easily throw it in your purse for touch ups!
- covers well
- settles into fine lines
Comments: Too dry of a formula to comfortably use under the eyes as it will accentuate any fine lines. The coverage isn't bad, but the texture is.
Will not repurchase.
I would probably give this a 2.5 if I could.
I'm 20 years old and don't have wrinkles, but I have really dark circles under my eyes which I've been dealing with for years. My Lancome waterproof under eye concealer usually works pretty well, but it definitely doesn't erase the dark circles (and it's expensive!)
If I layer the Instant Age Rewind overtop of the lancome concealer it really does make a difference in brightening the under eye area, but I can't use this product by itself, it's nowhere near thick. So on it's own it's a fail.
I hate the packaging though! Why must they do this?? I feel like I waste a lot of product in the sponge as well as on the contraptions inside the container. I would rather have a squeeze tube, then I can cut it open when it seem empty and really get every last bit. It's such a process to get enough product out of the applicator. I also think I'm going through a lot of the concealer way to fast, it's like 1/3 done and I've been using it for a month, other concealers last like 6 months and up!
I won't by this again because
A) I can't use it alone (which seems pointless to me)
B) The packaging sucks
C) I have to use so much product that I go through it too fast
I'll use it up until it's done though.
I like this concealer..is thin and blendable. This concealer also doesn't crease or settle into fine lines .i use this on my under eye circles. I don't really like the sponge applicator but it does help spread the product. I got the color i chose was a touch too light..so i will repurchase in the medium shade when this is finish.
