It's really cheap.. However, it's prone to smudges and it flakes. Doesn't last. Don't buy.
This product stinks so bad that the moment I opened it I got the awful smell and I didn't even want to apply it on my eyelids. It went straight into the dustbin.
This is a nice true deep black color. For me it dries fairly fast, stays on all day no chiping or flaking, smooth application. My only gripe is the brush. It is a little stiff but, with more use I have gotten used it. It looks a little shiny -it is not a matte black. Overall it is a good non expensive ($1.00) eyeliner. I will repurchase again and also want to try the other colors.
Yes, I love ELF. And yes it's cheap. BUT, the tip is way to flimsy and does not allow for smooth, even application. It's prone to smudging, creasing, and looking flaky. As much as I love ELF, this is one that I will not buy again.
Very very thin tip. Smallest that i've seen. Definitely black. Don't know about the staying power as i lost the bottle.
This eyeliner is ok, it goes on and feels wet for a while, have to wait for it to dry feels like forever. The applicator could have a little more give, it's not the worst liquid eyeliner i've used, it's not the best. It will definately do in a pinch though.
I like the wand and price, but I hate the formula. It smells awful and it just sucks. When it dries it's very shiny. When applying it you have to work fast because it you try to go back over an already dried area it will peel off and get chunky. While wearing it if you happen to rub your eye it will peel/flake off.
This is a great eye liner for the price and a pretty good eye liner overall. The formula is pretty basic and I have had no problems with smudging or flaking. In fact, I would say that the formula is pretty comparable to a lot of other liquid liners that I have tried and I love how it is a good basic solid black. The negatives of this product come from the applicator. Most other liquid liners that I have used have a similar or same felt tip cut in the same way with the same feel and stiffness. This particular tip is much longer and in an awkward shape that makes application clumsier. I suspect that the material used to make it might be different as well because it does not pick up and distribute the formula nicely. It behaves like if you were to use a plastic tip to pick up distribute liquid vs other felt tips where the felt would have a bit of absorption making distribution when pressed against a surface easier. - I hope that explanation was sort of clear :)
I guess I'd have to say this product is pretty good, considering it only costs $1. I have mostly used eyeliner solely in pencil form, but every once in a while I get the urge to use liquid. I'm admittedly a spazz when it comes to liquid, so I've always ended up going back to pencil. One thing that I really like about this product (aside from the price) is that there seems to be something different about the applicator tip that allows me to create a straighter, nicer line than I have with any other liquid e/l I've tried. That in itself is wonderful. The color *is* black, which is also great. I've also got the brown shade (though I don't think it's just called "brown") and have had the same experience with it, and it also looks like a nice true brown. Really my only complaint about this product is that it always seems to wear off on the inner corners of my eyelids. I only apply to my top lids and it's always worn off that area by the end of the day. I don't rub my eyes or anything so I don't really know what that's all about. All I can figure out is that with my allergies acting up a little at this time of year, maybe my eyes are watering a little bit throughout the day and that's why it's coming off. Still, it shouldn't come off just from that. It's not as if I have tears pouring from my eyes during the day. So that's definitely a little subpar, but then again, this DOES only cost a dollar. The rest of the eyeliner on my lids doesn't flake or smudge or wear off or anything so that's good! I would recommend this product to those who are just venturing into the world of liquid eyeliner, to those who really need and want the practice at perfecting application without spending a ton of money on a product while learning, and to the people who usually use pencil e/l but want a decent liquid e/l for certain occasions. I selected that I would repurchase this again, and I would... But I don't know if I will. I may try another brand next to see how I do, but I would come back to this one if I can't find anything that works better for me.
The Packaging was Nice, and easy to handle. I bought this as a set at target, it came with 3 different colors, Black, White, and Clear Glitter. The Black and White were both HORRIBLE! Flakey and Gummy, couldnt even get it to look right so i threw them both out (hey, they were only 3$ for the set). I kept the glitter one though cuz who knows.
