I got this for birthday from my best friend because she knew I was in LOVE with Burt's Bees. I was excited to try it out, but I just hated the smell. I love the original so much better!

i agree with many here, the scent is off putting. i felt that way initially about the pomegranate one too. oddly enough i gave them another try and really like both. this one is firmer, which i like, hate when lip balm mushes up. its very moisturizing. i have a med condition that effects my moisture glands, they die off actually. i literally have about 30 lip balms right now as friends always pick them up for me, and i do too.

this was in a gift and i smelled it, and didnt want to use it. but now that i have i found that unlike so many balms i have tried, this doesnt have as bad as a rebound effect. i mean how with most i have to always have the balm on. when i dont the dryness is unbearable for me. with this i can go longer without having it on which is great. still not loving the scent b ut its tolerable.

Great lip balm although as others have mentioned it does have a rather strong smell which is tolerable for me but not the best. I find the Honey Lip Balm to be far more moisturising than the original in the tin, but I still like that one for its cooling sensation and the smell is fresher. Also I have tried the Pomegranate lip balm and that too has a very strong smell and less moisturising abilities than the Honey one. All in all this is a great Balm .... in my opinion even better than the coverted Nuxe Reve de Miel (which I also have) because of its natural ingredients and its so cheap its unbelievable.

i reeealy like this lip balm, its so moisturizing and makes my lips feel so smooth. i am a lip balm junkie and this one tops my list! its not greasy or anything and works great as a base under lip products like gloss or lipstick. and because of the great ingredients in it you can use it on parts of your face. i like to use it on dry, flakeyness and the under eye area.
the only thing i dont like about it is the smell. it doesnt smell like honey its smells like old grannie perfume. but its grown on me and i dont mind the smell anymore.

Update: I have been using this for quite a while, and it is a wonderful lip treatment. The smell settles down after a while and the product lasts forever. I may start using this during the day as well; it's that good. I use this at night. If I don't breathe in while applying, then I can tolerate the smell. It's pretty good for a night treatment. Nothing spectacular. I'd buy again if I didn't have anything else that I want to try out.

I hate to go against the general opinion (which is seemingly negative), but I actually am okay with this stuff. At first, the smell is odd and I didn't particularly enjoy it. It's not quite as sweet as "honey". It smells more like a waxy spiced honey candle which is not appealing in a lip balm. However, I'm used to it now and am sort of fond of it! The packaging says: "Soothing, moisturizing, nourishing" It is nourishing and slightly soothing due to the creamy texture, but there's just something about it that doesn't moisturize. It sits on your lips and doesn't ever sink in. This is something I just can't get over. Chapstick is cheaper and more effective. With this stuff, you can't just apply a light layer, you really have to work it in. It's bothersome, but I don't HATE this product. I'm just okay with it.

I only bought this because my local Shoppers drug mart was out of the Burt's bees beeswax lip balm. It smells terrible and it just puts a greasy film on my lips rather than actually moisturizing them.

I bought this quickly at my local CVS because they were sold out of my Replenishing Burt's Bees. HORRIBLE! It had the WORST smell ever. I almost vomited when I put it on. It was sticky and waxy and didn't leave my lips feeling better at all. Worst lip balm I've ever tried and I do NOT reccommend this to anyone.

I love this lip balm!! I love the way it smells!! It's really moisturizing and I love the color it gives my lips! It feels really soft when I apply it onto my lips. Although I do still like their mint lip balm the best, this one is also very good! ^.^

This is my first Burt's Bee Lip Balm, and I like it a lot. I have no problem with the scent at all, it doesn't have a strong honey smell, but more of a candle that smells like honey. Some people may like the smell, some people may not. Now the texture is not smooth like a Chapstick, and it's not rough on the lips, but I do find myself rubbing it on my lips for a couple of seconds, and then it gets smooth and buttery. It looks kind of gritty, but it's not. It is very moisturizing!
