Great highlighter. Spreads very easily and has really good pigments. Works everywhere...top of the cheek bone, eyebrow arch, temple and cupids bow.
I got this as part of the Full Glam Ahead set, a mini set from Sephora online. It came with a mini Bad Gal Lash mascara and a mini Stay Don't Stray e/s lid primer. Benefit's packaging is so adorable and for only $12, I couldn't resist this cute mini kit! High Beam is not the best highlighter I have used, but I do like to mix it with my foundation for a more dewy look. I love the cute little brush applicator like a nail polish brush that makes application a breeze. This is the item I like most out of the three in the kit, but I still don't think I like it well enough to actually buy the full size bottle. If you haven't tried Benefit products, this set is a great way to test them out. For only $12 for all three, it's a steal. It would also make a great gift!
Gives a nice glow :) it's not overly sparkly or shimmery like many highlighters, and it's just so pretty! :)
I love Benefit's high beam! It's the only liquid highlighter I would ever use that gives me the perfect glow. I'm really bad at contouring my chubby cheeks, but when I apply this highlighter, the contouring comes alive and really makes my face more shapely!!
I think the packaging is fair--I am currently going through the mini version, and it's getting harder to get to the bottom part. I find that the best way to apply this is to pat it in using your middle and ring fingers =]
This is my first liquid highlighter and I really love it. It gives me such a nice glow. It adds so much to my typical makeup routine. I feel like I look more awake and alive. It gives a really nice sheen and very sheer pink glow to the top of my cheekbones/brow bones. I wasn't sure how I would like the packaging--similar to nail polish. Pretty much I just dab it on and rub in with fingers. Not crazy about that part, but love the product so much.
Another awesome member of the Benefit family :) I've been looking for a good liquid highlighter for some time.
It looks like a pretty shiny baby pink color in the bottle. I love highlighters because it gives off this glowy dewy look. When the promoter at Benefit tried it on me, I knew I had to purchase this. It was exactly the look I wanted.
I like to dot about three mini dots along my nose bridge and blend it out vertically. Trust me, you can see that your nose looks a little sharper. I dot about three dots on my cheekbones, brow bone and chin as well, then blend it out to make sure it looks natural. I love love love the effect.
I gave the packaging quality a 3/5 because I don't exactly fancy the nail polish looking brush. The product can come out to be a little clumpy like nail polish left on the shelf for quite a while.
The brush doesn't affect the final result, hence I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS BABES :)
Give me another three more years and I still think I won't be able to finish the product. It's really worth the money! :)
I got a trial sized sample if this and two months later I'm still using it up. I got the full size in the Legally Bronzed benefit kit. I will take forever to use it up! I use this every single time I do my makeup, and don't think I ever want to get another highlighted ever. I'm NW20 in Mac, and it is perfect shimmery pink. I adore this product my HG highlighter for sure. If I ever use it up I would repurchase!
I love this. I'm nc37 and I find if I use a couple of carefully blended dots on my cheekbones I get a nice natural glow. I use mine with benetint.
I do think that like all Benefit stuff that the packaging is awful. Still don't understand highlighter in a nail polish container. Also as a previous review said, the product tends to get stuck around the screw top and looks gross.
It's not the cheapest product but I've found a little goes a long way and a bottle lasts ages.
I hated this until yesterday. Every time I would try to apply it, it would either remove my foundation/concealer, or it would get really streaky and look obvious. What changed? I applied it over all my base makeup, using a small stippling brush. The application technique makes all the difference in the world! It looks subtle and shimmery when applied this way.
