Extremely cooling, minty, and refreshing. Great for humid summer days.

Like everyone else has said, Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap is very invigorating! I've moved on and started purchasing the Unscented Baby-Mild version instead because it seems a little less drying, but I'd recommend the Peppermint to anyone who needs some extra pick-me-up in the morning.

This soap is amazing.. you can use it as a body wash, face wash, shampoo, floor cleaner, mouth wash (?!) and a number of other things. I only use it as a body wash and hand soap, but I love it. It's so invigorating, perfect for a morning shower! A 16 oz bottle lasts forever. A word of caution, however: as other reviewers have mentioned, DO NOT get this soap on your "sensitive areas" or anywhere that is freshly shaved. The cooling minty sensation, which is pleasant everywhere else, can be downright painful.

Healthy alternative product for many things. I found that it was just like any other soap when used as bodywash. Smells good but be careful about washing intimate parts with.

Peppermint is great for cooling the body in the hot weather months and for cleaning the scalp really well all year long. Make sure to use a conditioner on the hair afterwards, but avoid the scalp. And a note of caution to men and women -- do not get this soap in the 'private' parts! It will burn -- sting and feel that way for a while. If it happens rinse, rinse rinse!!! (My husband actually likes that sensation ODD MAN.) But this is a great soap to have on hand for man and beast alike.

This product is great. I never get skin irritations and it always washes off clean, leaving no residue on my skin. The fresh scent helps wake me up and calm me down. This is great in the summer or hotter/muggier climates because it really cools and tingles on the skin. However, just be careful when washing the "private" areas ladies and gentleman, because it really emphasizes the tingly-clean feeling. A real rush...just make sure you mix it with plenty of water in this area. Great bottle, lasts long, and is great for traveling...multi-purpose use: toothpaste, quick hand wash load of laundry in the sink, good headache rag soak, foot soak, great for a shower massage when you've got a cold or stiff muscles.

This is a great, basic, chemical-free soap for the body that has an invigorating, super-minty fragrance. I love the old-fashioned paper packaging (I have the bar soap) and creaminess (though this isn't an especially moisturizing soap). It makes me feel super-clean and the ingredients are great. I'm looking forward to trying the Lavender next!

I bought the Trader Joe's version since the bottle was smaller and I wanted to give it the $3 test run before buying the huge $9 bottle. The ingredients are the same, and I couldn't tell any difference between the scents (which I think smell gross in the bottle, but good as foam). I've used a friend's Dr. Bronner's in the shower before, but couldn't recall how I felt about the results. So, I first used a couple of drops to wash my hands, and didn't love how it made them feel. I then used it to wash the bathroom floor--heavy duty too. Clay kitty litter stuck to the floor where the sink leaked, and it worked like a charm! I then used it as a body wash, and didn't feel too tight-skinned, but very clean. No uncomfortable tingles in sensitive places, either. I love it! The soap really prepped my legs for shaving, and though I didn't use it as a shaving lube, I think I will next time. To conclude, I just went online (free shipping!) and ordered 3 bottles--the lavender, baby-mild, and almond.
