I have never really felt liquid foundation was for me. This product is excellent. It took me a while to get the shade best for me but it was worth it. I find it almost undetectable on yet it gives me even dewy skin. It was worth waiting for.
Well this foundation is a little strange. First, it kinda runs sheer to me, and I have to layer on more on areas I need more coverage like spot, acne scars, etc. The finish is so-so. Not sparkly or too wet, but satiny. As for the staying power, I'm an oily gal, and after I put the photofinish primer, it stays on for a good while, I'm not sure about the whole day though. For 38 bucks its a lil on the expensive side, but I won't be repurchasing again. It's just a lil too sheer for me
This foundation works very well for me. It provides great coverage without being to heavy, although it is buildable. The color match is perfect, and it stays on all day with very little fading. The price is a little high (I forgot how high until I recently re-purchased), but it lasts quite a while. I love the packaging--the little pump provides good control on the amount you're getting and you can definitely get every last bit of it out. I wish I had a liquid foundation I liked this much that cost less, but I think I'll be shelling out for this one for a while.
When I finally took the plunge into liquid foundation, this was it. I don't like heavy makeup but sometimes you want to do a little more than what a powder can. I have the hardest time finding foundations that match me, I'm a honey color, but have cool undertones which is rare. Finally I found Smashbox. The fondation works well with my combo skin, I don't ever feel like it's dripping off my face and it does not clog my pores. It is very easy to do an even application of this makeup and it blends the areas needing heavy coverage well with the areas needing less. I like the finish of this foundation as well, it's more in the natural/satin family, which gives your skin some glow but nothing overpowering. It also dries quickly so you are able to put on other items such as blush, bronzers, or finishing powder immediately.

I have been needing a liquid foundation as my winter skin has been extremely dry and flakey. I am very happy with this product as it helped smooth my dry skin without becoming oily. Bought this foundation with master class 3 in the light collection. I have been using this foundation for 3 months and have probably used a 1/10th of the bottle.
Pros:
The colormatch was surprisingly perfect (Light L3). In BE I use Light 2.0. If you have light skin with golden undertones then this makeup will be a great match to your skin. The color coverage is light-to-medium with buildable coverage.
Super light on the skin feeling, I really hate the feeling of foundation on my skin so I needed something that was as weightless as my BE.
I LOVE the airless pump bottle, it will keep the MU from getting contaminated and going bad.
You don't need a lot of product for coverage. Especially if you use a foundation brush instead of a sponge.
Bought in the kit very inexpensive.
CONS:
Has a very strong fragrance. If you are sensitive to scent this is not for you.
Bought on it's own (instead of a kit), will be expensive. (good thing one bottle lasts forever.)
Will purchase again!
Fair F0 is a dead-match for my skin. Takes any sign of redness away. First time wearing it a close friend told me I looked ten years younger (needless to say I'll be buying it again!). I love the coverage, very buildable. Used in conjunction with primer, it gives me a flawless, blank canvas kind of look. I'm quite impressed!
This is one of the best liquid foundations I have come across in a long time.
I use over top of Photo Finish Light because I have combo/oily skin. It provides seamless, buildable coverage. It also give the proper hydration to my combo skin.
My only issue is the color matching with my complexion. BE's Golden Deep is perfect coloring for me. Summer 08 I tried D2, which matched my skin perfectly because it got darker during that season. Now this Winter, I found that D2 was a little to dark w/ cool undertones. So I tried D1 in the Dark Masterclass kit. I was disappointed that the coloring was off because I thought my complexion matched the model on the cover. D1 works best for honey or caramel complexions in my opinion.
If they broaden their color spectrum, I would give this product all 5's across the board.
***** Update 2011 ****
After I used the foundation, I did not purchase again. The coloring was too off for my complexion.

I purchased this last night, after the cosmetician tried it one me on bare skin.. she had it on and it looked so nice, i thought why not?? ( L1 is the color I went with)
So fast forward to today, I apply it, and for the love of god I could not apply it well. It is too sheer.. it says its buildable, however, when i tried in certain spots, i was left with ..well, orangey tinted spots.. works I guess if you have perfect skin to begin with, but if I had perfect skin, I would not be wearing foundation... the feel is nice though.. it does feel light.. just in my case, its too light for my combo, acne prone, uneven skin.. I dod not detect any weird odor with this product.. no scent at all really.. but I am returning it as soon as I can, because for the price tag ( 44 dollars canadian) I cannot justify keeping it when age rewind provides better coverage, ( though one needs a very light hand with the cream) and 1/3rd of the price of smashbox.. definately a No-Go and my search continues for a foundation that is not tooo heavy, and does not make me look like a freakshow..
Well let me start off by saying I got this in a master class set with $15 Sephora bucks, and $5 store credit around Christmas time. So i paid $42 for the whole set!! AMAZING DEAL!! So let me review the foundation--my initial thoughts were Oh My God this has no coverage!! but then I realized this is a buildable foundation. Just place more where you need it and viola--perfect coverage. So a couple things I like--my skin looks amazing in pics and in life, It is very natural looking, not cakey at all. Downfalls--I cant use it by itself-- I need all 5 products it came with to make my skin look great but when I have applied all these steps WOWOWOW!! my skin looks amazing!! i think the foundation by itself is not worth $38 but in the set totally worth every penny (normal price $59). I dont know if I would buy it but itself again
In general, I love Smashbox products, but this product really failed me. First of all, for $38 I was expecting a better quality foundation. The product went on very sheer, did not even out my skintone (I had no breakouts or serious redness when this was used) and made my skin look greasy. My skin is not very oily but this product made me look like an oil slick. The coverage is not buildable, when more product is used, the greasier my face looks. I would never buy this product again.
