My friends that use the Chanel finish pressed powder says this is very similar in application texture and quality! I only got it for $3 on sale at Shoppers, what a steal!! Simply put, does what it says. Overall I wouldn't say this is an exceptional product because it's just simply a blot/transparent finish powder, functional but not a requirement. However, it does do its job and keep my make up staying matte and sets face so makeup can last longer. I like to put it right underneath my eyes so that my eyeliner doesn't smudge from my undereye concealer. I have this in transparent and you can get away with applying generously without it looking too cakey (I'm NC25-30 btw).
The packaging is really cheap. The lid doesn't stay on well. So even though this is a good size to travel with, there is no mirror and I wouldn't risk putting it in my bag (in case lid falls off).
I've already hit pan on this! My first time hitting pan on powder makeup!
I have two of these which came free with other Rimmel and products and that's enough.
I like it. I have it in the lightest colour, Transparent. It's not transparent and it's actually slightly darker than my skintone but it is extremely useful. You can press it on lightly using a powder brush and it will cover redness in the t zone and help control oil there. I find it's a good product to press over my sunscreen which is always rather shiney for about twenty minutes before it calms down. You can also buff it which actually provides good (if rather obviously powdery) coverage. Not a day look for me but I'm ok with it occasionally for a night out. The only way I wouldn't recommend applying it is by dusting over the face. It clings to fine hairs something savage. You need a much more finely milled powder, probably a loose one, for that.
I love this product because its super good with oily skin and gives medium coverage and the powder lasts for a good 6 hours the only problem is the limited colors so i had to stop using it its either too light or too dark but I will definetly recommend it if they have your color!
This is a great DS powder, keeps my combination skin matte all day and sets my foundation beautifully, I have this in translucent. Only complaint is it can look a bit powdery, but if I spritz with mac fix+ that takes away the powdery look. Like the other reviews I`m not overly happy with the packaging, its not very secure and really boring looking (I`m a huge fan of cute packaging) but thats not a big deal.
This is a great powder for the money. I don't have really oily skin, infact it can be a little dry so I don't always need a really heavy powder in order to set my makeup. I also have had cheaper pressed powders break me out in the past so I have to be really careful when choosing a pressed powder.
I own this in Translucent. At first I was a little put off by the lightness of this powder. My own skin tone is quite fair but this looked like it would leave me looking ill and washed out. I thought I would try it anyway. I wasn't too expensive.
It lasts reasonably well during the day and it doesn't make me look washed out or too pale, thankfully. This could become quite cakey if applied with a heavy hand and maybe isn't best suited to my skintype but I still think it is a really good powder.
I'm not too fussed on the packaging as I don't think the lid is terribly secure. I would be wary of carrying this around in my handbag unless I have it inside my makeup bag.
I would repurchase this and definitely recomment it to friends. I tend to brush it on my T-zone with a large fluffy bronzing brush. Works a treat.
im always looking for a powder to control my oily face. i brought it in translucent. the colored powders didn't match me at all. if you put too much, you can tell im wearing powder and worst of all, it only controlled my oily face for about an hour and then my dang oilies were breaking through the powder. darn.
i tried using a big powder brush, flat, tapered brush, sponge, and puff and i believe the product doesn't work for my face.
if you have slightly oily skin, then it might work for you. it has no fragrance either. drugstore powders dont really help control my oily face, besides coty airspun(i just have to be careful bc it can get overly powderly and has a scent that might throw some people off)

I saw Rimmel added a new color 020 Nude Beige which is darker than the other colors and has a nice yellow based tint, so I figured for 5 bucks why not! I like how this powder is descent in helping my oil control. Not great, but average at best for the price. I have one factor that bothers me...This powder emphasizes my pores. It claims to minimize pores, but on me it does not do that. It makes my pores look huge, so I moving along. Sadface because I like when it's first applied. Doesn't stay flawless on me. Will probably work great for people with great skin to begin with. I'm not one of the lucky ones.

It's an ok powder. I use it to set my liquid foundation, so like a finishing powder. Inhave an oily t-zone which is why I use it. For an average 8 hour working day I have to re-apply it at least twice so it's not the type of thing to last all day but as soon as I do put it on (which doesn't take much) the effects are imminent which is great.
I use the transparent powder so not to disco, our my foundation which is of a different brand. The packaging could also be better. The lid comes off a little too easy but I've had no accidents, thanks to a good make up bag.
overall, again it's just an ok product for the price compared to some butI would definitely prefer something that keeps my face matte all day. I haven't found the right product yet but I would probably buy this again to use as a back up considering the affordable price :)
