Good sheer coverage!
Though definitely no matte finish!!!!
I bought this product a couple of months ago, my first use was disastrous! The liquid had been squeezed into the cap, and when i tried to open it, it came seeping out from under the cap! I thought it was going to explode. I had to open the cap by cutting it a little to release the pressure, and when I did, boom! Foundation everywhere. So to say the least, the packaging is a hassle - especially when in a rush or if you only want a little.
This foundation has a very sheer coverage; I actually couldnt even see it on my face. It covered no eyebags, marks, imperfections or pimples on my face. Not to mention I was instantly shiny!
It was nice to feel like there was nothing on my face! But this didnt work for me. The texture is very liquidy, almost watery. I bought this product because I had nothing and needed a quick, cheap fix. And unfortunately, I got what I paid for; a cheap, watery product.
However, the colour wasnt too bad! Which is always a positive.
If you want a very light, sheer coverage; this would work great for you! (I definitely would not recommend for oily skin)
I've bought this twice and i'm not entirely sure why - maybe because i use the stay matte pressed powder as my coverage? I have terrible acne scars (red... blotchy... you know the drill!) and this did not cover it but it did provide an okay base for the powder. It doesn't really stay matte per se but is less greasy than some other foundations i've tried! It also didn't feel heavy or anything! A little bit of streakage could be visible sometimes because 'nude' was slightly too dark for my asian skin tone and didn't blend terrible well when i didn't have too much time on my hands.
Just not what I was expecting at all!! I need total coverage in my foundation, this is ...Rubbish! It looks oily, touch my face and streaks and smudges, get hot and it comes off. Would advise anyone to avoid this !
How can this foundation 'stay matte' when it doesn't even go on matte to start off with?
As soon as I applied this my skin looked oily and it didn't look matte until I covered it with Stay Matte Pressed Powder. It wasn't the best looking finish because after applying enough powder to blot out the oiliness it looked a little on the cakey side and kind of showed up my pores a bit.
I find Rimmel's Cool Matte Mousse Foundation leaves a much nicer finish and smells better too.
So to sum it all up, this foundation really wasn't matte at all, smelt bad, and the colour I used (100 Ivory) wasn't that light and would surely be too dark for a lot of people with fair skin.
Mother always said, "You pay for what you get". Paying around $5 for a foundation? It tells me that it's cheap.
The foundation lasts for a maximum of 3 hours, even with a powder finish on top.
However, the coverage is amazing for the price. It goes on smooth, and dries matte.
If you want something that is for a quick meeting or a luncheon get-together, here's your knock-off version of MAC's Studio Finish.
I hate foundations but this one - I adore!
I have very pale skin, brown eyes and hair. But my skin looks like I'm 16 not 27.
Anyway, I started to notice dark circles under my eyes and decided I need a foundation and a concealer ASAP. So I bought this liquid foundation, the lightest shade, since the shop lacked lightest shades from other brands - just my luck :) And it turned out to be one of the cheapest there is!!! I'm using it 2 weeks now - regularly.
I put very little on. Love the fact that it doesn't look like I have anything on my skin - it's not heavy at all, it doesn't dry my face (I have combinaton to normal skin) and since my skin gets sometimes very pink- ish this foundation actually covers that up! No orange colour by the way.
I just love love love love it!
7 months later still love it!
Hahahah. The palest shade is so dark that I use it as a bronzer. It's also really heavy :/
this is a great foundation. has good coverage an true to the color on the bottle. covers dark spots and acne scars well however it does still show the bumps and lumps of your skin. for the price and quality I would definatly buy again and again.
This is a great foundation for the price. It doesn't have a matte finish; I would say it's more on the dewy side, but it keeps my face from becoming oily throughout the day. Compared with what I usually use on my face (Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moistuizer), this foundation keeps my face at least 50% less oily. I barely need to blot at the end of the day and I have fairly oily skin. The only problem I have is that it dries very quickly and this makes it hard to blend. I use a a flat blusher brush to apply this and if I blend it in RIGHT away I get a nice airbrushed look. It doesn't settle into pores at all - it really makes my skin look flawless. However, if you don't blend it right away it will look streaky. I'm not sure this would work very well for dry skin, but I got it for $5.99 at Target so I think for that price it's worth a try!
This is a really cheap product from just your normal drugstore which really impressed me! I have an oily T-zone especially in summer. It really keeps my whole face matt for 12 hours (or more). I remember i skipped using it once & went to school, i got really shiny on my T-zone after about 4 hours into the day. I have just used this & i love it! (: Cheap & good!
The only downside, it is a tad too liquidy for my liking, it is really quite runny when compared to my mac foundation & the colour range is quite small, the colour i got is slightly too fair for me so i top on my own pressed powder!
Beside that i love it! (:
