I tried this foundation for the first time today and I absolutely hated it. What I found with this product is that it is very sheer coverage and isn't build-able. I have moderate to kind of severe acne so i like heavier coverage, this just didn't do it for me. Also, it wasn't my skin tone, I'm an NC-15 in MAC and this was too dark ( I used the shade 100 ivory). However i do like the packaging of how its a squeeze tube instead of a bottle where i have to pour like revlon colorstay, because in my opinion its a little cleaner. I also liked how when it "dried" on my face i touched my skin and it didn't really feel like foundation. ...It was matte too.
So overall I didn't like this product for me, but if your looking for sheer foundation with a matte finish and you're not super pale like me this foundation would be worth a try for you.
Did not leave a matte finish at all, it felt like i had a greasy film on my face all day which left me very self conscious. Didnt use it long enough to know if it made me break out because i gave it away to my sister. I think she threw it away. Very disappointed with this.
I really liked this product. It evened out my very dry skin without making it flaky or shiny, and it stayed on all through the school day, which meant no re-touches. It didn't melt off in sweat, heat, or humidity and even withstanded water. Just wash off with make up remover.
I bought this product recently when looking for an affordable foundation after spending AUD$72 on my HG Chanel blush - this foundation was on special for around AUD$8. For that price, it is pretty good. There is a good range of natural looking colours. When first applied it had a lovely satin matte finish and medium coverage, and wasn't too streaky. I set the foundation with the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder and touched up the powder during the day, but it just didn't last. By the last touchup, I was basically putting powder onto my bare skim, because the foundation had all worn off. I have an oily T-zone and normal cheeks and I found that my T-zone looked quite shiny by lunchtime. Will not repurchase.
too drying, quite obvious on the face, doesnt stay matte for very long, doesnt last the day. poor product
so my face is pretty oily. everything i've tried before comes off in like 30 mins. this didn't come off. and i didn't look oily at all it stayed matte all day. i was pretty surprised cos it was almost 100 degrees today . so i'm happy :)
I was very surprised by this foundation. I didn't expect much but wow. I have oily skin and this keeps it matte. I used this on my recent summer trip to New Orleans. And it lasted through the day and into the night. It didn't sweat or rub off. It didn't cake or look "makeup-y".
I got several compliments on how great my skin looked.
Blot and touchup with Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and was ready for the evenings.
Wonderful product and good packaging that traveled well.
Well I got this in ivory 001, and it's definitely too pale for me (NW15-20ish but less pink), so I guess if you have trouble finding a light enough d/s foundation then it'd be worth a shot. The colour aside, this stuff is Not Good. It doesn't seem to ever set or dry, more like a cream or compact foundation IME, which makes the Stay Matte name all the more hilarious. I find that it makes my fringe/bangs really greasy by the end of the day too, like they are sucking the oil of of the product and ending up all stringy and ugly - Not Good. It's not buildable at all, it's more like a heavy tinted moisturiser than a foundation. The coverage ain't great.
It has a reasonably heavy rose scent, although that does fade. The tube is very good at least, I like tubes rather than bottles so at least it's going to be hygienic as it sits in my stash for the next two years until I throw it out unloved.
the palest shade was orange...
wasnt matte at all! .. very shiny and thick
very little coverage
didnt last and got greasy
basically everything you dont want in a foundation
I bought this in the new slim tube because it specifially states it is non-acneigenic which is what I was looking for in a foundation. Overall, it's pretty darn good but it doesn't give enough coverage for me. This is sheer coverage and I need at least medium, if not full on some days. I took to using this as a a base actually and it creates a nice layer between my skin and my normal foundation. Together the two work well together and so far I have been pleased. I like that it does not break out me sensitive skin. The price is a steal... now if only made a medium- full coverage kind then I would be excited!
